I absolutely love how passionate about this concept you are. It really makes it so much more inspiring.
I have been practicing minimalism and intentional living and it's truly life changing.
I am intentional but REFUSING MINIMALISM....IT'S BORING!!!
You've brought me to tears. Your message is true and pure gold.
Live on purpose!! The more of us do that the better this planet will be :)
I closed my eyes and listened to this like a guided meditation. Thanks for this helpful content. Is there a video that explains what led you to your purpose and what made you decide to live with intention?
Love how you are bringing out your points. So helpful in writing my blog on intentional living. Thank you
My next intention is to start treating myself more. I work two jobs and I'm very frugal with my money, I have been able to save up a lot which is great. But sometimes I think I run myself hard and spread myself too thin, and I need to learn to treat myself more. I might sign up for a monthly massage service, or try to get a pedicure once a month. I used to look at it as a waste of money , but you only live once and I deserve to pamper myself.
MsJujubee3 Wonderfully said! I can so relate to this. Self-care is absolutely an investment worth making in life. So happy to see that you're honoring yourself ❤
MsJujubee3 very true
Look up the Elder Furthark rune, Fehu! That symbol is exactly that lesson.
hey Chelsea! I loooove that Steve Jobs quote, so juicy! Taking action really gets rid of the imposter in ourselves, small daily choices make massive results! ✨😍
Am going to dig deep in, work on myself, live life intentionally and with purpose. Thank you!
Yes! What steps and techniques will you use?
Love it love it love it love it
I am going to deep dive and truly find out and get clear on what my values and beliefs are.
also, it's so easy to tell you love what you're talking about.. you truly live it and your passion is so obvious,. love it! waiting for more videos :)
smile soul I receive this with gratitude. Wow, thank you so much. It's the comments like this one and the people like you who help make this journey so beautiful. Much love to you! ❤
Thank you for the passionate insight! Thank you for pointing out that goal setting is so important to intentional living. We have to have a target otherwise we are moving through the dark. Right?
Impactful living
What a perfect quote
Chelsea, I have a question. If you didn't have to be on social media for your business, would you be on it at all? I struggle between finding a nice balance between social media and not having social media. A lot of times I don't like the way something I can read affect my mood, etc. Just curious on your thoughts about it.
+Ann Marie Merlino Great question! It's tough to say what I would do. I have those same feelings regarding social media and because of that, I use Instagram as my focus (and stay away from the platforms that leave me feeling negative.) I genuinely enjoy Instagram and think I would continue to use it for creative pursuits & connecting with like-minded people around the world. I deleted the Facebook app from my phone about a year ago and though I stop in from time to time for business, I rarely feel the need to visit anymore. Not having it on my phone to check out of habit quickly showed me how little value it added.
I think if something leaves us with negative feelings or simply doesn't add value, step away for a while. You'll either find you're ready to remove it entirely or you'll have a newfound respect for it. I'd say to use the platforms that bring you joy, and let go of the rest. The hardest part is the fear of missing out. And most of the time, we never end up missing anything :) I hope this helps!
This helped me out TREMENDOUSLY! I always value your opinion. Thanks Chelsea! Happy Sunday!
Ann Marie Merlino go on social media only when it benefits you & post things that make you happy. Dont care about likes or comments, don’t event read those. Also turn off all your notifications from every social media app.
Ann Marie Merlino I think everything in moderation, if it’s starting to make me feel bad, then I set it down for a while.
Oh my goodness I can't. We need to work together! Everything you say is everything I tell my clients LOL you are fabulous!
Very helpful and clear information, Chelsea. Thank you! On a side note, you are VERY beautiful! Love your eyes and hair :)
Thank you 🙏
We spoke today 😊👍
lovely words,thank you!
B.M.F.Ö. Thank you for watching!
I have to say this....
The word "Intentional" is often harnessed to "Minimalism" and "Simple" and "Slow" living...
but the word "Intentional" implies "Conscious", "Mindful", "Thoughtful", "Purposeful", "With a Mission", "Directional"....the Dictionary doesn't tie it to Minimal or Slow or Simple.
I can be VERY intentional in a fast paced lifestyle...or a slow one. I can have plans, make conscious (intentional) decisions about my daily life...and I can be highly intentional about my business and what I'm doing to create growth.
STOP LINKING EVERYTHING TO "MINIMALISM" AND "SLOW" LIVING...NOT ALL OF US ARE FOND OF 'RELAXING" ALL THE TIME.
i just bought two books on self growth and now I'm planning on starting daily meditation and manifestation :) love the concept of deliberate actions, I have to get to know more about this!
smile soul Oh, how amazing! This sounds like a lovely plan. And I'll be speaking plenty more about deliberate actions ;)
can u share the title? And if u have any other recommendations.
I have a question just out of curiosity and by no means intend for it to be "against" what you're saying it's just a thought that popped into my head. Intentional living sounds great, but I can't help but think isn't life supposed to be effortless ? Shouldn't we be able to live without all this conscious thought about our every action ? To me that sounds exaughsting ! Looking always to maximize every single opportunity?
I think we are all different; different values, different goals, different perspectives. So, I don’t think there is one right way regarding how life is “supposed” to be. I haven’t found it to be exhausting - quite the opposite! I think what matters is finding the type of lifestyle that best suits us and makes us feel the most aligned and alive. Intentional living is just one of many ways.
Loved it but don't think we need to align our intentions with our beliefs. We are in control of what we believe. We can choose what thoughts we entertain and form into beliefs.
You are absolutely correct in terms of being in control of what we believe and choosing what thoughts we formulate. But don't those come out as actions eventually? And actions usually represent our intentions... What do you think?
Only 19k views is disappointing .
If we align our life with our values and beliefs, we are essentially aligning our life with the past and our earlier programming, which shaped what we SHOULD value and be passionate about, which caused our dissatisfaction with our past and present choices. This advice isn't really helpful. It leads one right back into the core and cause of the vicious cycle they're attempting to escape - their values and beliefs (which shape our choices). Before one sets out to make a permanent change in any area of their lives, they should first take the time to re-examine their values and beliefs and sincerely question them. Is this what I really value & believe, or is this what I was taught to value and believe? We are not our values and we are not our beliefs. We are not that which can be so easily changed by simply changing our mindset. I'm not my mindset, my mindset is a tool. If you let the tool lead, then you will be no more than a tool yourself, being led by those who can distinguish the self from the tool.
Yes, we are ever-evolving. It’s definitely important to remember that our beliefs and values can change as we grow and develop and to ask ourselves those questions. Great insight!
would it be fair then to say examine our values and beliefs and use that as a stepping-off point... I find myself at times overrun by the values and beliefs of those strongly vocal around me. Taking time regularly to check in with my self helps me to stay grounded. I like this conversation, I guess you could say "thanks I needed that" 😊
