    It's great seeing videos on this part of mining, Thank you!!! This subject and the lack of it on shows like Gold Rush, has come up many times on my Live Stream, Tuesday Night Hangout Live.
    If you Don't MINE it, You Grow It... Both Mining and Farming of food or Tember are essential to our excitants. If not for them we would be back in the stone age and living in caves.

    Well said Tyler, and very nicely produced. Modern, responsible mining is no more damaging to the environment than moving a few rocks around. More work is needed to ensure that the rules in BC go worldwide and everyone follows your example.

      Thanks a lot TD! It is so easy to do it the way BC does it. Sadly enough there a lot of mines around the area that don't get reclaimed. Typically they are from larger companies that go bankrupt, but they will get mined again and reclaimed anyways. the one large site in the video is a perfect example of that. that site is my dream claim..... I will mine it one day....

    Excellent video. I live in Hope BC and spend as much time possible in the beautiful back country that is at our doorstep. To be honest it is rare for me to find any leftover metal, garbage ect left by old miners. Unless I use map place and go looking for older mines, then you will find evidence of old mines. then is becomes more like finding artifacts, a window to the past if you will? You have put something out there that needs to be seen!!!! All of the treehuggers that live in the concrete jungle really have no idea about the work it takes to a reclamation of any mining or logging sites. I hope they see this video. Once again, an excellent video. Keep up the good work.

    As someone with a background in forestry it makes me uneasy seeing sites “replanted”. I think I would rather just see it leveled and left. Maybe with a burn. In the Pacific Northwest it grows back so fast anyway.

    Great video, as usual! Very smooth drone footage. From the way you have always spoken in your videos, it is obvious to your real viewers that you take the care of the land to heart, and that your not the type to do the actual minnimum required by codes, when a little extra gets the job done the correct way. In the current state of our world, with the political insanity running roughshod over everything else in life, you will always have some haters and trolls. These same people believe that if your doing anything at all, your harming nature and wildlife, their emotions will over rule any facts you can give most of them. Keep doing it the right way, and thank you for showing everyone that cares, the way you do your work, it's really a great perspective to showcase a less dazzling part of the process. Peace.

    Excellent video Tyler. Regardless of your reclaimed ground being all in a row up the creek or all over BC with 6 hour drives between, the fact that you got up to date footage of proper reclamation proves where your heart truly lies. The ground is supposed to pay you a couple Canadian pesos when you squeeze it hard enough and that's why it's your duty to pay it back with respect. Cheers to you and your hard work doing it the right way. Just remember it's ALWAYS about the gold.... But as you know, it's ALSO about respecting the natural lay of the land and its environment when you're not there. Your commitment to the end goal of leaving the land in good natural condition after the primary goal of getting that gold is a huge testiment of your character. I'll gladly pay your tab at any watering hole 👍

    Secondary thought: can you look up records of unreleased bonds, go and do the reclamation work, and claim the bond?

    • @TheMiningChannel
      @TheMiningChannel  Рік тому +6

      Hey Daniel, there is not a list but contracts do come up on the governments website a person can bid on the jobs. the down side is that the majority of these sites are so far gone the bond amount may not cover the costs to reclaim the site. Sometimes the government will seize the miners equipment to recover the loss. The old site I reclaimed for the ministry I was able to get a "vesting order" to take ownership of what was left there.

    • @MourningReason
      @MourningReason 3 місяці тому

      You can ask the permitting office, sometime they will give the information about bonds, but like Tyler says the bonds often aren't worth much. Can be done more easily if you have the claim and intend to work plus do the previous reclamation.
