I used to make snow cream with my kids when they were little. They also used to watch Little Bear! Oh my what sweet memories. Thanks for reminding me. ❤
i love all of your videos the combination of softness + presence in awe of the ecosystem you get to live within + connecting it to childhood dreams has me crying 😭 💗🌿❄️
I'm in NW PA. Tons of snow this year. I love it. I live out in the middle of nowhere and love taking walks down our gravel roads during snowstorms. Had a fun moment on Wednesday. Was on my garage roof shoveling off about 18 in of snow and saw my closest neighbor to the south of me also shoveling. We both took a break and waved at each other. About 800 ft away.... Very cool ice cream recipe. Never heard of that before!
You can freeze your fresh cranberries until you find a recipe. I use frozen ones to make cranberry muffins. This is my favorite of all your vids... made me happy. It was great to see you so giddy and embracing your inner child!
This was a beautiful video and great timing. I was just telling my wife yesterday about how my neighbor made snow ice cream when I was a kid! I definitely want to see the snow maple candy you mentioned.
your chuckles of joy eating the snow cream are so cute + wonderful + last night i intuitively ate old fashion vanilla ice cream with maple poured over + then this video this morning ❄️🍨 such serendipity
Wish I’d seen this last week when we got our big snow. ❄️ I was telling my husband about snow cream and he was skeptical. We both grew up in FL but moved a little north. Our kids just walk around eating fistfuls of the snow and ice. One broke off icicles and chewed on those. 😅
Hey you, I love your videos and this one is really so relaxing, just wonderful. As a "bird lady" I would like to let you know that it is wonderful that you feed the birds! They need it. But feel free to shell the peanuts because there may be fungal spores in the shell that are harmful to the sweeties. And don't forget that you may see them eat the nuts, but not if they get sick from them. Maybe the info will help, I really don't want to be rude. I hope you get it right. I like you so much and I'm sure the health of the animals is just as important to you as it is to me. ❤️ Have a nice day in the snow!
Thank you for letting me know! These were specifically for my crow friends, I have a group of eight of them that love shelling the peanuts. I’ve always read that they appreciate the extra puzzle factor but I’ll definitely double check if it’s really safe for them! They always get to them before any other birds could.
@thecottagepeach Hey you! Sorry for my late reply, I didn't make it earlier. About the Shell and what's wrong with it: We're talking about mold spores that peanuts are often contaminated with, which fly around when the shell is cracked and can lead to aspergillosis when inhaled by immunocompromised animals (IT IS commonly know in parrots, but can also affect wild birds). As there is hardly any way of checking whether the animals are infected, I decided at some point to only give them shelled peanuts to be on the safe side. But I don't want to play the cheriff here, I'm glad that there are people who feed the birds! ❤️
Making snow cream is one of those things I've always wanted to try but I grew up in South Africa and am currently living in India, neither of these places really get snow lol
for the cranberries ! you asked for recipes + this is the easiest staple one for me if you have a pressure cooker ~ i love to pressure cook cranberries (1:1 with water as a base but it's flex) + then strain to drink the juice + then with the remaining berries, i smash out excess liquid w a wooden spoon + gently mix in a small bit of raw honey + then use it as a quick jam !
I’m there, but only posting about 2 days a week as I’m recovering from surgery and IG limits my reach when I don’t post every day. Honestly probably going to be there less and less this year in order to focus more on UA-cam.

Thanks! This video was recorded pre surgery, but I am feeling a lot better.
Your choice of music is always on point 🙌
Aw I’m glad you think so, I try to be very intentional with it!

That is awesome! There is something extra neighborly about everyone out shoveling snow together

Cranberry muffins sound yummy! I’ll have to give that a try. I’m glad my joy for a snow day came through 😆

Glad you enjoyed! Fingers crossed I get another snow storm in time to try the maple candy
Thanks for the snow walk. This was such a peaceful way to start my day. We're expecting some snow in my area this weekend.
I hope you get a nice, peaceful snow day!

I dislike snow ❄️ but I can't love ❤ this video enough!
Thank you for setting the mood today 🥰
I'm so glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching!
Maple candy in the snow sounds delicious. I would love to see how you make this please.
It is a really fun treat and I’ll definitely film another snow day video if I can 😊
Here in Ohio we are definitely getting a lot of snow right now. This seems very interesting to try.
I hope you will!

Definitely interested in the maple candy!
There’s something extra refreshing about drinking snow 😅

Aw I hope you get to try it some day!
awww the secret garden ! also the book mandy was so influential to me i bought it again as an adult
I don't think I read Mandy, I'll have to check it out.

you can also do stovetop ~ i just know pressure cooker makes this v body/energy accessible for me (also disabled) + keeps more of the nutrients
I need to get a pressure cooker it does seem a lot more accessible!
😊👍
Making ice cream straight from snow and you actually eat it.
That must be really cold.
Thank for sharing how to make ice cream 😅
Very cold!
Is that green tower behind you a hydroponic tower? I'm not sure about hydroponics? Is it worth it?
Not hydro, it’s just a vertical planter - linked it in the description!
@@thecottagepeach thank you...btw snow ice cream reminds me of when I was a kid! ❤
Que estés cada vez mejor 🐳
What happened to your Instagram? I don't get reels in my feed anymore.

I'm in the middle of summer here but this felt so peaceful! I follow a lady - Growing Up Herbal - she is all about seasonal living.
snow days are the most peaceful to me :)
