Bill you are such a sweet husband to Elizabeth, so patient. You two are such a joy to watch, an excellent example of how a marriage should be with God at the head. I wish yall a ton of fun on your new adventures!
I couldn't agree more!!
These two have gone through a lot of hardship. They have worked hard you can see if you look back.
They live simple and they walk their talk. I’m happy everything is going well for them finally.
Thank you so much. ❤️
I’m so excited for you two. I’m sure Bill will make truck beautiful and functional for your camping needs. You both are so talented.
And it so nice to see a couple that are so loving and kind to each other after many years of marriage.
45 years…we’re so grateful.
I live vicariously through your adventures in renovating homes and now camper trucks! Can’t wait!
How exciting! Bill, your construction skills always come in handy and you save a lot of money. You have prioritized and saved to experience what is important to you. Thank you for teaching us and inspiring us to do likewise. Best wishes for the New Year!
We just love you guys❤
A hotel on wheels what a great idea!
God bless you all❤
Maybe you can come to Wisconsin!
We would love to see you guys
Stay safe and be blessed
Come to Lake Havasu , AZ and enclose my Arizona room. That will help your Box Truck Conversion Fund.
😅
🎉 SQUEELS!!! 🎉
This is going to be so much fun to watch you two enjoy your journey!
Big hugs and big love!
✌️💖🙏🤜
It’s so exciting. I love watching your remodel jobs. I can’t wait to see what you do with the inside of that truck! With Bill’s know-how and Elizabeth’s excellent sense of style, I’m sure it will be spectacular. I hope this will be the start of many happy journeys in your new home on wheels for both of you! God bless you.❤
This is a really good thing! You two live debt-free, and Bill - we know you enjoy projects. So exciting to get to watch, and see what you two will do!
That's awesome! So happy for you both! I do have an idea for Elizabeth since she was talking about how sick she gets when traveling. Bill you should replace the front passenger seat with a literal recliner chair (with a seatbelt), that Elizabeth can recline in as far back as she needs to and that would help her and you be closer and not have to worry about her being alone in the back? Just a suggestion 😊
Unfortunately, there is no room in the truck cab for a reclining seat. The back wall of the cab is right behind the seats.
So there's no way to knock out just the passenger side of the wall?
You guys are living my dream. My husband and I have been looking at getting a box truck and converting it to a camper for years and never found a suitable truck but we are still looking. We are in our 70’s now and wonder if it will ever happen. Looking forward to seeing what you do with yours. Enjoy!
Today you could buy a low mileage one owner class B or short class C for much cheaper than building one with the cost of materials today and the cost of the tools if you don't already own them. I realize the build is the fun part but you can save a ton of money by just buying one already built. Prices on RV's are dropping fast so lots of good deals for good ones.
We started building out an ambulance several years ago. We have been using it all along, even unfinished. I am 71 and the hubby is 76.. It's never too late.
@@kyhilltophome3153 Thank you that gives me some hope!
@@cdlund2840 and many eventual repairs
Bill builds it to last and not be nickeled & dimed to death with someone else’s very possible reason for selling
They just aren’t sturdy enough like a box truck in my opinion
Trailer I had I knew after purchasing within a year 2 big pricey repairs. Loved it was parked so no more shake rattle rolling on the highway ❤🎉
You two are starting the New Year with a new chapter of truck camping! 🎉 Looking forward to seeing it transform 🚛 and going camping with you! To more new adventures 😄
Oh wow, this is AWESOME!!!! CONGRATULATIONS Bill and Elizabeth!!!! God has truly blessed the Keller family. I am just waitin to see what you all do with the box truck, and what adventures you both take us on. May God continue to bless the Keller family. ❤️❤️❤️
Ironically I just watched a conversion video by a Dr. Duze. I never thought that you could fit all that into a cab truck. Take a look. It may give you ideas. And Elizabeth, I am so proud of you. Your living life with your hubby, taking one day at a time, but making future plans. God bless you both!!💕😎
Good morning guys. I pray it all works out for ya. Sounds like a fun project 😁 It'll be fun to watch the progress. Thanks for posting.
Oh my word! How exciting, I looking forward to watching this conversation. We & sometimes I, traveled for a few years in RVs & a Class B. Met many people on the nomad world & saw lots of amazing conversions.
Many projects and traveling can begin to wear a person out. Relax and enjoy each other. Enjoy the homes and the children and grandchildren that you have. Wishing good health and happiness for you both! 🙏
As a child in the 70s, my parents bought a used Wonder Bread truck. It had 2 sets of bunk beds. a fold down table, mini fridge and potty chair. No sink, no stove, no plumbing. We used it lots.
Loved your jacket Elizabeth, I’m happy for you both. That’s the right call about the truck. 👍
So glad you are not going to have to stoop over in the van not being able to stand can't wait to watch this transformation Bill don't get in over your head one project at a time no rush I hope Godspeed to u and your family
What a fun project. We're also debt free, for the last several years. We were able to buy a little piece of property to camp on, and built a little cabin on it - as we had the money, we bought the supplies. It took us a year (still working on it, actually LOL) but it's well worth it!!
Yes, it is!
We done the cargo trailer camper conversion and I love it ...
It's what I've been wanting to do for a long time...happy for you. Know how talented you are with your hands ..I'm sure it will come out amazing!!!!!❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Outstanding!!! ♥️♥️
Love you guys !!
Patricia & Daniel
So happy for you guys. God forbid something happens to bill...would Elizabeth be able to maintain all you have achieved? So proud of you both. Such nice hard working people. 😊❤
What I can’t do, I know people who can. Our son, and now even his son, would help. I wouldn’t keep what I couldn’t care for. 😊❤️
Yea, she would have a hard time. Hopefully she could move in with her son to help her
she is much too heavy. The bed is much too high.
About the too high bed. That will not be for me. It’s an extra bed when needed. We are putting in a couch/bed across the back.
@@dirkenyvonnebenedictus8680 heaviness has nothing to do with it. So keep your rudeness to yourself!
You all are so sweet. I would like to go on some of these adventures with you. I love that box truck. I love your positivity. Such precious people in every way. I am debt free by the way. I recently lost my husband and even though I am debt free it is impossible to live in a big house. Everyone needs to try to get debt free and enjoy life as much as they can. That is what I plan on doing. I love your videos. God bless you all!
So sorry for your loss. Wish I could send a big hug. 🥺❤️❤️
Oh I so excited to watch this box truck transform into your on the road tiny house! So exciting! Congratulations!
I have never had a stroke, but I have a balance problem, vertigo. So I know what you are talking about. Long trips are very hard. Hope this works for you Elizabeth.
Can’t wait for the transformation videos to begin! Have fun you two! TFS! God bless y’all. ❤️🙏
Yay! Bill has another exciting project! We enjoy everything you do, Elizabeth and Bill. Thank you so much for being so diligent and genuine at all times ❤
I’m glad you’re doing research on ways to design the living area of the truck.
So look at Elizabeth wanting to get up and go!!! You can't beat that!!! That ebike started the lust for life...love this!!!!
😄
I bought an electric bike when I met a man 101 on the metro in prague with a 'normal' bike..I'm 80 this yr..a young man
Elizabeth, I know my comments won't have anything to do with the truck purchase. Which, by the way, is a super exciting thing. This community will have a great time watching your progress. My comments today have to do with just how much better you look. Your skin tone looks so healthy, and your eyes just shine. Its obvious prayers have been answered. God bless both of you. P.S. Today's explanation of your process thus far has been fascinating. I'm looking forward to seeing you take off on that first trip. Hopefully, with your motorized bikes attached to the back!
😄❤️
We love your DIY's!!
😊
I'm excited to see what you build. You don't need a shower. You just get those shower awnings that attach to the side of your truck and get a joolca
Always fun to see another project getting done! Elizabeth - I have been wearing a neck brace type thing on long trips and your explanation of what happens with our neck in a vehicle is so true! The neck brace makes my neck feel so much better and refreshed! You definitely should try one. I can sleep with it on sitting in a chair and it just makes my neck and head feel so much better after riding in a car than if I didn’t wear it. The best to you on this project - we will be watching from the comfort of our easy chairs in the living room. 😅
What kind do you use?
@@mcup1982 well I’ve bought a few neck supports but there’s one that I bought in particular that fits tightly and that’s the one I use. It is secured by Velcro so it can be tighter. The ones that are
Open in front and just lay around your neck don’t work as well. Mine fits tighter for the support. I actually got it at goodwill years ago. Health supply companies have regular neck braces that might work too but from what I know they’re bigger than mine. Mine is made of some type of foam
And has a washable cover in it. Then fastens with Velcro. It’s probably 4” high and maybe 12”
Around then long enough to go around my neck.
I love it! I did this with a Ford Transit van a few years ago. It was a no build conversion. I used it for several vacations here in Indiana and Michigan. I was blessed to have sold it before I retired for more than I paid for it new. Looking forward to watching your buildout. Do you ever watch Bob Wells at Cheap RV Living? I love watching his interviews with folks doing the same. Great tips, ideas, and suggestions. Blessings.
Thanks for your thoughts. I have a very large pickup, and maybe a solution for me would be to have a "box" installed on it replacing the pickup bed.
Bill keeps threatening no more construction projects! And we just smile because we know better. This is very exciting! Maybe the grandkids can paint some kind of mural on the side for you? So fun!
😄
I’ve looked at a lot of nomad builds, and some of them are quite beautiful and very practical. I enjoy looking at those kind of things.
Hey Bill, I retired from construction work 5 years ago, I had that same box truck, same engine, same year, but mine had 277000 miles on it when I gave to my son 5 years ago, he is still using the truck, so you made a GREAT BUY, happy travels, god bless you and elizabeth
Thanks! That is so encouraging! 👍🏼😊
My plan for a converted box truck would be to set up an area for a twin bed (for occasional use, with storage above the bed near the ceiling for things only seldom needed) toward the forward portion of the truck, with an elevated kitchen toward the edge of the elevation. My back is so bad, the elevation would be perfect for my back, and for my poor balance. Then a regular bed toward the gate/door at the back. Have fun you two!!! The options are only as limited as our imaginations in these fun projects. 😘
You two are young at heart despite challenges. That is dignity. I'm so proud of you too. GREECE. ❤❤❤
❤️😊❤️
Congratulations- going to be fun watching the conversation 😁
Bill you are so talented. Love to watch you change this into something special.
We bought a 16 ft box truck from Budget truck rentals 12 yrs ago for our cabinet shop. Three yrs ago we bought a 2008 class C motor home that is the same size as our shop truck. Yrs, you cam fit everything you need to camp comfortably in that space. Will be fun to see what y'all do in yours. My husband just turned 69 and we hope to use the shop rruck much less and the RV alot more. We are so blessed!
I joined "the Family" with your last video where you cut a hole for an RV door (it's a great door), and fixed it in. It went really well. As I am looking at such possibilities for myself, being retired and with limited finances, I really appreciate it when you get down to tin-tacks and refer to costs and do comparative costs especially. I was very impressed with the condition of your vehicle and wondered a) if all 2007 Ford box trucks are in as good condition as this one and b) how much this truck cost you. - it doesn't have to be the exact price but in the vicinity of, would help me make a decision. Thankyou.
So cool. Love that Bill has a project to work on. Love that Elizabeth enjoys going on adventures and helping with the planning.
Totally understand why someone would make the decision to do this. Very good video. Thanks ❤
Thank you for sharing the part about the net installation! That would work great for my husband, as he is the one who needs to rest while I drive. I never knew about that safety feature for the sleeping driver in a big rig. Awesome idea👍
Congratulations, looking forward to watching the build. Happiest of New Years to you both.
Sounds like a great project.. Onward and upwards to great adventures...
I've always thought about one of these as a camper including cutting that doorway. Can't wait to see how your project works out.
How Exciting! Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing the conversion and all the wonderful adventures to come!
I’m so excited for you guys! This will be so fun to watch you implement your design and of course Bill is an excellent builder. I hope it fully supports your needs and wants. Thanks for sharing this adventure with us! ❤
I wish you many happy years of safe travelling in your new truck. I understand a little about how travelling can affect you Elizabeth. My husbands vision is really bad its almost gone now and i drive but he has to wear dark sun glasses because the way the light hits his eyes makes him dizzy and sick. so it important to take care of yourself. Gods blessings for 2024.
I've actually thought, now that Bill has no projects on hand... what will be next!. Now I know!. Am looking forward to the process of turning this box truck into a lovely camperized van.
That’s awesome.
you both are absolutely precious. i’m so excited for you. As my moms battling end stage dementia i’d love to do this one day too! god bless
Hugs ❤️
Planning out how you're going to fix it up is half the fun. AND, I get to see more of Bill's building skills. My favorite 😊 Yippee 😂
😄👍🏼❤️
What a fun project! I can t wait for Bill to work his magic to convert the truck into a beautiful and functional travel van.
Awesomeness! Go for it! I jumped back on a Harley at age 50, Sold everything and now live in South America . There are dreamers and doers, !
😄👍🏼
My wife and I are building out a cargo/toy hauler and skipping the shower because we camp at parks that have really nice parks with clean showers. Don’t waste the space or money on a shower.
I am planning on doing a conversion. Enjoying the playlist. Cheers!
Welcome to Adventure Van travelling. Great for you 2 to get back on the road again. Fantastic.
There was a guy at the camp where our camper is , he made a box camper. It was so cool , everything was in it. The back where sliding door was he made it with a house door and putva air conditioner on there too. Great buy!
Great memories on the way. So happy for you and Elizabeth
The Lord has given you wisdom! Thaanks for sharing your plans and inspiring the rest of us.
You two are so hilarious and cute! I’m looking forward to seeing you repurpose the cube truck I can just see Elizabeth putting all her special touches to it. Congratulations. Have a blessed day
Congrats on your purchase!! Hubby and I built out a 1995 Dodge B2500 van and traveled to AZ from MT during the winters of 20 and 21. We decided to sell the van and purchase a toy hauler travel trailer. Took a year off to be able to afford our off grid power components and customize the trailer to our needs. Now we are camped out in the desert, living our dream. We have our atv's with us so we can enjoy riding the trails. Can't wait to see your build. It will truly be wonderful to watch your dreams take place. ❤❤❤
I can't wait to start seeing the progress of the building of the camper. Every video you all make is so interesting and fun to watch. Thank you for sharing.
Looking forward to follow along as you build your new RV! Congratulations!
Hi Bill and Elizabeth, I love watching car, camping videos, and Van videos about people Converting vans and cars into RVs on UA-cam I can’t get away from it. I’m addicted to it, and sit there and watch people make their cabinets and their beds. It’s at so interesting! I kind of feel like I wanna do that so badly, and you’re giving me an idea to go to my U-Haul company and get a big box truck!! Ha ha!! My husband wouldn’t share my love for a camper conversion in a van…. not so much!! Ha ha ha! We have to hire a company to do it the inside of it!! Congratulations on your new toy. I will be tuning in to see how you fix it up. I’m so interested in that kind of stuff. Happy fun, upcoming travels!!!😊🚐
Best thing about this is it creates NEW CONTENT !!!! Then follow up travel content !!! Can't wait !!!
So Happy for you guys. Be Blessed
How exciting!
Im looking forward to seeing how you get the box truck fixed up. ❤️
Great find! Can’t wait to see how you fix it up!
I rest while my husband drives our Class B Van. What I have observed: good suspension is important, as I have felt sick on bumpy freeway/roads (even lying down). Although, if your bed is not in the very back, it should be more comfortable. Insulation is your best friend, especially for road noise. Ventilation and air circulation are your next best friends.
CONGRATS.....YOU SURE ARE A WORKER.....WHAT A MAN.....HAVE FUN DOING WHAT YOU WANT TO DO....
You’ll do fine driving it, Elizabeth. I drove one just like that from U-Haul to Greensboro, NC, from downtown Raleigh, NC, two times. I did just fine on I-40 twice.
Looks like fun. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
Congratulations… Looking forward to watch your build. God bless and protect you!
Nice truck. I've seen a few really nice ambulance conversions. They have a side door with steps, lots of built in storage. It might be worth checking them out before you get started. There are different height boxes. Juat a thought.
What, and sell this to buy an ambulance? No thinks. I don't like ambulances because they usually have all kinds of metal compartments and exterior doors built in, which limits the amount of space inside. And they're not as wide. This box truck is a full 8 feet wide!
This is so cool! Love the Uhaul box truck! I laugh when folks say, "You're in Florida, why the blanket? Not all of Florida has weather like Miami, it gets cold in North Florida! I live in Gulf Co. and yes we get cold!
Looking forward to watching the renovation of the big box truck!! Bill you are such a awesome handyman!! Love watching you and Elizabeth!! Ready for the up coming adventures !❤😊🚚
My friend bought a decommissioned ambulance and is about 90% complete in her conversion. She kept all of the pre-built storage which worked great for supplies. The solar, toilet, power bank, stove top all fit perfect in the cabinets.
Congrats! Box trucks are better built than Class C. I have been looking at box trucks. Super nice campers. I cannot bend over like in a van, too painful. My next project will be a box truck. I skipped the whole Florida concept.
I think I could live in a box truck in case of emergency, but have a mortgage free small home.
What a fantastic idea!!!!!!!!! I can't wait for the videos !!!!!! I just drove a 25 ft truck when I moved this year and it was a piece of cake . I am a 68 yr young female. So Elizabeth I know you can do it!!!!! I drove by myself.😂🎉 P.S. I live in AZ and my car is a 2000. No rust. I loved your reaction Bill.
How fun for y’all! Look forward to all videos of the build. You will have such a good time traveling around in your new truck 😊
I love to see Bill build stuff. So much fun!!! Love you guys.
Be sure to leave the back as a big door with pull out ramp for when you need to roll up a wheel chair. Your post made me think this would be good for disabled people who want to travel. Costs a lot less than a handicapped van. I would definitely add at least one window, though.
Hello Elizabeth ❤l use a foam cervical collar when l ride and drive..I have spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia and neck damage from two rear end accidents..lt really helps...
I love your enthusiasm for new beginnings and adventures! God is good!
Will be fun to see what you build. Don't have to search for box truck conversions, UA-cam put those videos on the side...LOL
I am so happy for you both. One of the best time in my life was traveling for 3 years in my 30' Pace Arrow. I will be keeping up with the build and follow you guys on your trip. Love to all and be blessed.
I always wanted one of those to travel in. This is a great idea for both of you. Can't wait to see the rebuild!
Oooh, there are cassette toilets that don't use water that fold up for small spaces. You'll want something like that too. This is exciting! I've watched a lot of those tiny home things and conversions, so I've waited with baited breathe to see what you come up with. Such a blessing that there is no rust. Now 10v, does that mean that it is 10 cylindered ? Like 4, 6, 8 and this is a 10???! That has some power if so, but maybe it needs it.
Yes, it has 10 cylinders. Yes, it has a lot of power for hauling and towing. And yes, it uses a lot of gasoline!
I enjoy watching you do carpentry work videos reminds me of my dad he was a good carpenter too .
I’m so happy for you both, I feel blessed just sharing vicariously in your life. Thank you for sharing.
You’ve met Brian from Adventure Van Man. He removed the entire rear roll up door & created a regulate door in the rear. This would work well for you both & you wouldn’t have to worry about loosing head room when/if you rolled up that door. Plus you wouldn’t loose any structural integrity that might arise if you cut a doorway on the side of the box. As it stands, you’re already cutting a walkway from the cab to the box. Just an idea. Wishing y’all all the best in this new adventure.
What a wonderful life you have created for yourselves. Bill just keeps on truckin (lol) one finished project to the next. I will love watching you create a camper out of this box truck. Peace, Love & Joy!
A new project to watch!! Exciting. Best of luck
How fun!! Miss Elizabeth you keep warm, that blanket looks cozy ❤
It really is!
So happy for you two. I have fixed my Suburban into a camper and am running into the same problem of not being able to stand up in it. I would love to get a truck or bus to build as a camper.
