Stay very vigilant on keeping that water treated. My granddaughter developed a very bad skin infection that was antibiotic resistant from getting into that same hot tub from Amazon. I don’t think her paternal grandparents were maintaining it like they should and I’m sure you guys will. Just thought I’d mention. These smaller ones can be harder to maintain water than larger ones because bacteria can grow so rapidly in that amount of water. Not trying to be downer or negative. I take hot baths before bed to help my aching joints and thinking about getting one of these too. Enjoy 😊

We are going to completely change out the water every two weeks. We will shock the water every week.

@@imsharonl2 yea we got our granddaughter back and she was covered in bumps that looked a lot like chicken pox so we were thinking maybe that’s what it was and by morning they were worse so took her to the doc and tested negative then found out it was a antibiotic resistant bacterial infection. I called the other grandparents and found out they were broken out with it too and she was in there with them so She is no longer allowed in their hot tub. Just gross.

Nice Tub. I always like to put a small tarp under it to help protect it from chaffing on the bottom. Doubt you have rocks on your deck but gives it a little more protection. Enjoy.

As a full time You Tube video watching, recliner sitting, know everything, (because clearly I am an expert 😄) who only watches video's.....I am sitting here shouting...surely there is a YT video about setting this thing up! LOL!!! I am so happy for Elizabeth because I know the relief her body will feel. I am also a renovation specialist because I watch Bill's renovations. Ahhh...if only I felt like getting up from this recliner. 🤣

That looks wonderful! I can just imagine the nice hot water and how good it must feel to your joints and muscles. ☺️
Here in Japan, we have deep tubs in our bathroom that we fill almost to the top and then we put bath salts in. We can soak in it after our shower and it feels great. But I think having it outside where you can breathe in the fresh air while you’re in the tub and also the bubbles massaging your body must feel great, too.
What a good idea for the two of you! I hope you enjoy it every day and keep nice and warm!❤

I love salts in my whirlpool bath. I am very sensitive to fragrance so only use the real No. Scented Dead Sea salts I order from Israeli Products. Salts can also keep down bacteria and add much magnesium to your bones. Also other beneficial minerals get into your pores.

I'm glad you can do that. My late husband had pulmonary disease caused by Agent Orange - we went out got a hot tub put on a 16X 32 ft addition - and the moisture was brutal on his lungs - we sold it within 6 months - - I wish you all the best with COPD - so many more meds now that seemed to work much better than what was available back in the 90's

One idea ya can also do for safety if you already haven't. Is on out side of the hot tub that you are going to be stepping in/out of lay down a few non slip Mats . Then maybe lay tarp down underneath the hot tub next time setup to help give little protection to the wood.

Whoever mentioned the probability of bacteria or fungus being a natural hazard of hot tubs is right. I know you two are smart and always put safety first. The filter is SO IMPORTANT!! We had one and always used a device that gave all the parameters of the water quality. Many times had to add more chemicals and watching the pH levels is also very important. I am happy for you two. Being straddled with degenerative arthritis in my spine and having had one back surgery ; I am doing my best not to have a much more serious surgery. I don’t have a hot tub now but I hope to have one soon. Now I am controlling the pain with injections. I can have them every three months and I am always counting down the days beforeI can have another round. Many blessings to you both. ❤️❤️❤️PS. Do you have test strips?

I'm diabetic and I turn my hot tub temperature down to 98 and at that I can stay in for a long time without feeling like I need to get out. For the filters I recommend Power Soak Filter Cleaner at every water change, especially since you aren't using continuous sanitizer.

Hubby and I have been thinking about a hot tub to use at our home base in a sunroom we've built. This would be perfect! We have to worry about the winters when we aren't there and things freezing, so being able to take this down and store it closer to the electric heaters would work really well. So glad Elizabeth is benefiting from this addition! Yay!

Bill you need to put another filter on the outflow to. It is up by the one seat. We also put one on the bottom of the floating chemical holder. We had trouble keeping it clean first till we fiqured out we need to at least run two filters. You are right the instructions are not good. Did yours come with the floating container to hold the chemicals. We use bromide tablets in the container.

I like the way the cover latches on. I put up a pool in the summer for my grandkids, but sometimes the cover is plastered against the fence. I have to use chlorine. I put a tablet in a floater and take it out a couple of hours before the kids get in it, so some of it evaporates.

If the shock is dry crystals, to save it from sitting on top of the plastic, you could pull out a clean pail of the water, disolve the crystals and pour it into the middle to disperse it without it sitting against the plastic.

145gallons = 1200lbs of weight. I know people out here in Quartzite AZ who throw water bladders in the back of their vehicle to bring water to their rv! I actually have a 26gallon fresh water tank so bought a 30 gallon bladder(smallest they come in) and a drill pump! (Which you might consider adding🤔 but it looks like good water pressure you have). Our house only has showers, no tub and this looks amazing, Im thinking putting it in our furnace room in the basement as there is a drain on the cement floor, and maybe a sheet of 1inch insulation under it, ohhh yes! It could be done!!!
I've seen people buy these to use off grid! On off grid property and even rv living!!!😂

This was great to watch ! Curious...Elizabeth, do you see that your joints (somethng I struggle) are getting relief after you've used this for a few days. IOW, is the relief cumulative and find that you're "moving" better without so much pain or difficulty. Thanks ! Have a safe and wonderful trip away.

I need more time to know for sure. I know the warmth has helped me relax to sleep.

All your missing is a small table with two tall glasses of lemonade sitting on it!

Great price, nice looking, and fits 2! I do like the way the lid fits inside. I have been wondering if you could use "salt" just like the swimming pools - no chemicals, way less cost than chemicals.

I dont know anything about salt. But if you can use it in a pool, I'm sure you could use it here.

I'm surprised that you could put it on the bear decking and didn't need some kind of padding. Enjoy using the hot tub

Come So excited to see Elizabeth, taking the lead with some of the directions. A smart woman is an amazing God-given Gift. I like that she use the “We”pronouns when she was describing what has happened.

Listen to your wife Bill, Elizabeth was right about the right side being up. Everything isn't always easy to get together. Instructions sometime are as you said, cryptic. Glad that you persistent. It's going to be awesome.

You should paint that board grey like the post so it blends in nicely would just look a little nicer there

I think you guys should try ICE baths the next time you change out the water. It’s the perfect size for a trial. I think the Wim Hoff method of ice bathing would be even more beneficial and I’m a hot weather, hot baths, steam rooms and sauna kind of person.

Also, ice baths cause restriction of the blood vessels. You must be very careful if you have cardiac, pulmonary or any vascular issues.
