Vessel deserves all the happiness he is owed, and then some. It’s such a mindfuck not being able to look into the persons eyes who is making such beautiful music, and literally touching your soul.
And yet we gaze at him in holy revenants none the less.... Vessel, II, III and IV are by far the closest things to Messiahs I've found... their pain and trauma is relatable on a spiritual level for me and I believe many other... WORSHIP

I find myself coming back to this video every couple weeks. Hearing of his pain, and of his perseverance… makes me feel like I’m not quite as alone as I think I am.
This world needs vessel they just don’t know it yet. What a beautiful yet tormented soul
I’d would give absolutely anything just to hug this man, no words need exchanged, I simply just don’t have the words to thank him enough. A hug is the only way I can convey my undying gratitude, and show him he is loved by so many.
We are lucky to be alive at the same time as Vessel. What a beautiful soul, with an equally beautiful voice.
He might not think he saved anyone, but... Sleep Token, with its music, message and overall being, is truly life changing.
Sleep Token is truly a special band. I have never experienced such emotion before. At 33 years old no music has made me feel what they do. I hope they realize what they are giving the world and how much they mean to me and so many others 🖤
i feel the exact same. i've never, ever in my life been so moved by any art before. their music made me feel seen for the first time in a very, very long time. it's been beyond cathartic and overwhelming and beautiful.
This is so true. I have listened to Take Me Back to Eden album all week SOBBING feeling all the emotions I didn’t think were there. It’s crazy.
Sleep token has touched a lot of people and I'm so grateful that they helped a lot of people too I can't wait to see them live in London soon I want to hug them and say thank you for everything❤

I don't know you, so this might not achieve the purpose it's supposed to achieve, but I think his message is, that you saved yourself. Because while Vessel isn't here to physically help you he obviously did help you with his music, that's why you are thinking this, but it was also you that gathered the courage and strength to face another day, so if anything, it was Vessel *and* yourself, that saved you.
Obviously I am not here to tell you that you are wrong, just want to make sure that people take the time to appreciate themselves, I bet that's what Vessel meant with "Loving oneself". Whatever you are/were going through to feel like this is valid, and you deserve to hear that you did great by getting through it, nobody can take that away from you.

I don’t think he means it in that self deprecating way that is often associated with depressive mindsets. I think he means it in a, “I cannot imagine myself or my life without these things. They are as much a part of me as my own flesh and blood” type of way

Maybe you didn’t directly save me, but after my husband passed away last year, your music gave me the ability to feel the emotions I was bottling up and running away from…and being able to face that broken darkness is the reason my daughter didn’t lose her mom too. I rarely write comments, so sorry for interrupting! First of all, I am really sorry for your loss, but I am happy to hear you are finally finding a way to gradually face everything and heal yourself!
I've lost my father very recently and it's been such a terrible ride of complex feelings and emotions. However, most of the time, I try to appear as if everything is just fine, which is a huge lie because my mind is in a such dark place. I've come to realize that I am doing exactly what you said, running away and bottling up. I have to say that this kind of music really gave me a chance to embrace sadness and stop being afraid of it. I learned that facing it is the first step towards healing, and for sure, the hardest one. Sorry for rambling but I really hope you and your daughter will heal for each other and with each other very soon! Also, thank you for being so strong in sharing your story and making people like me less lonely in these awful moments. ❤

I’ve come to learn that pretending I’m ok and wearing strength like a badge of honor to make everyone else comfortable was only wearing me out and hurting me. Being open and vulnerable is it’s own strength. Please remember it’s ok not to be ok, every emotion you’re experiencing is valid. And when you find yourself laughing, smiling and legitimately enjoying life, don’t feel guilty for living again instead of merely surviving. Grief demands to be felt…often and in a million different ways. I’m glad you’ve found a healthy vehicle in music to help guide you through the hardest emotions. Sending you hugs.

If you get that anxious, clawing thoughts-racing feeling, I strongly recommend “Sleep Therapy” by Ghost Atlas and “When I’m Gone” by Landon Tewers if you haven’t heard them-emotional lyrics and that desperate edge in the vocals. Also, “Let Me Be Sad,” from I, Prevail was my freaking anthem for months.

Every time I’m a bit sad, or overwhelmed by the capacity of my mind to overthink and fold onto itself, I come here and watch this video several times, maybe I will never know Vessel, nor Sleep, nor anyone in this band, but if they ever read this, you and your music really, really saved me, in so many ways, so many times…
The universe knew that I needed Sleep Token in my life. I recently discovered this beautiful band during a very tough time in my existence. Music is my medicine. It's how I heal. I will heal as I flood my body with the vibrations and energy that Sleep token has poured into their music. These songs are forever apart of me now. Entwined with my DNA. I will forever worship.
Nicholas Tesla said it best himself. Everything is vibration if you can learn to master it you can master the universe

I have been avoiding Sleep Token over the last year(s) as I though they were another Slipknot clone, without ever hearing their music. Last week I watched the Drumeo interview with II and got hooked. This band has made me cry, scream and feel a bit better during this time. Currently in a burn-out and I've latched on to them, this message was perhaps what I needed to hear. Since I found Sleep Token I come here occasionally just to listen to these words.
I'm planning to go to a concert of theirs very soon. I hope I can make it and not chicken out. I've not been anywhere completely by myself for over 15 years...maybe longer.
Masses of people scare me. The world scares me. I've been confined in a room that is barely 11m² big because my depression and anxiety has kept me there.
These musicians are the reason I'm trying to break free again. I had given up. Completely. It sounds absolutely horrible I know, but I was basically just waiting to die. But something about their music has given me that tiny spark of hope to at least try one last time. Now I am waiting for the day of the ritual, ticket at the ready and hope I'll have the mental strength to actually go. It'll be a dive right into the deep end for me.
Even if he doesn't think he saved people, I think he gives people something to hold onto when they can't swim on their own anymore. A moment of reprieve. When things become too much. And sometimes that's all it takes. Someone to float in the dark with you until one of us has the strength to swim a bit more again and we can take turns. To know there's someone out there that gets it. I feel like it's a push and pull. We are all saving one another in some form and that's absolutely beautiful to me. And I mean all of us. So thank you to all you worshippers out there too. We might not know one another but I want you all to know you are lovely and you are appreciated.

Good luck with getting out to their show, I know it will be difficult but I really hope you get there and take that massive step which will clearly mean a lot to you. Make sure you take a copy of this audio and something to listen to it with. If you feel overwhelmed then stick the ear phones in and hear it again and know that everybody in that room, if they only knew your struggles, would be 100% supportive and behind you defeating those demons. You got this! :)

Update for anyone who finds this/cares:
I did it. I went there. Didn't see much because I'm small and had to stick to the sides as to not get overwhelmed but damn was it worth it. I did it. I made it. All on my own.
Maybe things will look up from now. Who knows. But something shifted yesterday. Even though Vessel and the rest of the band will never know this but their work shifted something important for me. Fingers crossed I'll find my way now.

The more i hear the lyrics and learn about this band the more it resonates with me. This man is fucking moving people and helping them with his music and his story. Its fucking literature and music intertwined

I keep thinking about this and I wanted to come back to point out something I noticed. He gave this message right after performing "Drag Me Under" in the Lafayette show, a song about loving someone so much, you could die. I can't think of anything more devastating or beautiful to say to a faceless crowd of people than that.
Going to also mention for anyone committed enough to dig into this comment, that there could also be something to be said about immediately performing "Bloodsport" right after it, which is essentially about ruining that love, and realizing the other person has moved on. Maybe there isn't a greater message and maybe it just hit with the tone of the show. But, going to say it for all the people in the back anyway: protect Vessel. Seriously.

I found sleeptokens music completely by chance I was at a devil wears prada show and as the next act was setting up I heard the offering over the speakers and I had never heard it before but I had to know what it was so I used Shazam and found it and did not expect to find such beautiful and inspiring music such good music infact my wife and I used telomeres as our song at our wedding and your cover of is it really you for our last dance you guys truely are a gift and vessel your voice is incredible I will continue to worship I love you guys so much thank you for everything and keep up the amazing work! 🤘❤

I have been beyond depressed and lost I’ve been playing guitar and singing since I was a kid it’s been months since I’ve sang or picked up my guitar but sleep token has opened my heart back up to it I have hope again and it’s because of this band I’m forever indebted to all of them for creating something so beautiful that it brings me peace again I owe them all my life and they’ll never know it thank you

In this new "gratification" age we live in Vessel just reminded the world that music is more important than the artist. So if there are no artists then it would be up to us to harmonize to ourselves (even if its a horrible sound) then still we could be moved and touched by our own voice!!
