Love this ride! It's so smooth and relaxing. My stomach barely dropped on any of the drops & I have a weak stomach. You just feel like you're gliding in the air not like you're on a coaster.
@@andiooop4914 have you tried Gatekeeper yet? Going tommorow and ive only done the mine ride and iron dragon aswell, barley handled them though lol not a roller coaster person but being forced...😂😫😫
+AEguy Productions you only see one part of the coaster in line, but the size is still incredible. its fun to watch the ride on the first drop, but its a way different experience on ride the first time you do it.
This was my first upside down roller coaster ever. I almost cried waiting in line for it.... and then I rode it three times. I LOVE it I felt like a bird. It was kind of relaxing and just beuifitul. The first loop was a bit scary but it made it fun
Same. 2 years ago I was too scared to go on any of these. My brother all but forced me on the gatekeeper and all that fear...for nothing. Now I can ride anything!
Gotta tell you, back seat is where it's at for this ride. Front seat is more of a hangglide feel while the back seat is true flight. I rode it in all four prime positions three times each (left front, right front, left back, and right back). Go with the right back for the best possible footchopper through the keyholes.
That drop off the lift in the outer right front seat is amazing tho, but then, so is the sort of 'wing over' dropping from the left front outer seat…IDK, it's just the coolest damn coaster B&M ever designed.
Michael M Hope you do, think you will if you're a coaster fan. One thing I really liked & wasn't expecting-I've been riding most of my life (I'm 47 now) so I never feel the G's anymore. GateKeeper really surprised me-very strong G's from start to finish-first time in years I felt the G's and it was SWEET! Felt like the first ride I ever took all over again :) It's an amazing coaster and B&M isn't even my favourite coater designers. Intamin is. Post your experience tomorrow after you ride it, man!
Well this was the second time of me going to CP with a friend. The first time was with two friends for the weekend and for some reason, we could not stay off Millennium Force.
My favorite ride of all time!!! Most smooth ride Iv ever rode!! Always have a special place in my heart!! My 1st ever cedar point ride and I made sure to ride front tow!!!
Would love to trade my soul to ride Gatekeeper at least one more time in my life. I live 8 hours away (sending love from Philly) and due to my health concerns, I don't think I'd be able to make it to the second visit to CP. If you read this, please keep having fun for me!
I freaking love the gatekeeper and the valravn. They are my favorite rides at cedar point. I also love the millennium force, maverick, top thrill dragster and many more.
Don't be too scared. Just get on it and do it. Believe me, you won't regret it. All you have to do is just... do it. You may be terrified, but once you're strapped in, there' no going back. And you've won.
Terrified of rollercoasters but absolutely loved this ride. Make sure you ride this a few times! I was way too terrified to open my eyes the first time but on the second time it was just like flying through the air and it was so fun!!
I went to Cedar Point for the first time Memorial Day weekend, and I got to ride this about four times because there was absolutely no line (the longest wait was like fifteen minutes). It could've been the way I was sitting, but the restraints also dug into my waist, which didn't feel the best. Though I'd have to say, this and Maverick are my favorite coasters in the park.
I went to cedar point for the first ever time yesterday! I’ve never been on rollercoasters this big in my whole life, and gatekeeper was my favorite. I actually got to ride it twice! Make sure you take a deep breath at the first drop though. My vision went black a bit the first time lol
When I went to cedar point last summer, the wait for this ride was only about 10 minutes. This was also probably one of my favorite coasters. Rode it about 4 times in a row due to it having such a short ride.
Cedar Point literally does everything right. I feel like one of the great perks of being raised and living in Pittsburgh is this park is about a 2 hours and small change’s drive away from me at all times
I rode in last row in the back and it was epic! Felt like a bird!! And I rode it at night too which just made the experience even cooler, so glad I live near Cedar Point it’s the BEST!
I couldn't breathe on this ride. The vest is so tight that I couldn't take in full breaths and therefore I was having freak outs. I had to calm myself down.
Tomorrow this will be my first big ride, that gives me confidence to ride them all, or the unthinkable alternative of me not riding it and never conquering my fear. Godspeed, Sam
@@grace-su4px omg i hope you had so much fun im a bit chicken on coasters but im going this weekemd and im prepared!! im going on the dragster and you should too because its amazing and you wont feel the drop is what i heard from all my family members, its a tradition in my family i suppose! =)
Bro i was one of the first people to ride gate keeper on physics day in school, which was opening weekend for gate keeper. Its the roller coaster that got me over my fear of roller coasters.
Those people screaming in the background when the roller coaster came down sounded like they were having a good time, that's what made me want to ride this, and on May 25th i am going to cedar point, but honestly I don't blame them for screaming, it looks super scary but super fun!
I just went today! This was my last ride and I loved it. My first was the Dragster and I ended up losing my glasses. I also enjoyed the last row on this ride. It was cool seeing what was about to happen.
I went on Tues. June 18th and it was packed! It looks almost empty the day you went. GateKeeper was about an hour wait, and for a new ride, it was worth it!
I rode this 3 times yesterday. It was pretty freaking sweet. you feel like you are going to fall from the seat when you enter the drop, but I don't know because I only rode the left side and I don't know if it is a different experience on the right side.
If you sit on the right side of train on Gatekeeper the lift hill drop is actually really intense that side made me say" whoa what the heck is going on" because you go upside down so sudden than the left which gives your brain time to adjust to the angle that you go in
Julez Zazzy Flying Wing Coasters are called 4th Dimension. The seats can move 360 degrees while the ride is moving. The first 4th dimension roller coaster (and wing for that fact) is X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
On this was my first time to ride a Roller Coaster....never before in my life i rode a Roller Coaster !! It was my first time and it freaked me out !!😂
Sadly I went to Cedar Point on a rainy day. I went on this ride, by the time I got on I was soaked head to toe. It was one of the only rides open. I kept my eyes shut, the rain felt like glass.
A week from today im going to Cedar Point for the very first time, and me and my cousin chose this first to go on first. It'll be my first ever rollar coaster and i'm really kinda nervous and scared.
Whoever is from U.S.A , you guys should check out the swarm at Thorpe park , similar , a wing with inverted half loop , even though I'm English I still think the swarm is a better ride , it's got near misses , loops , all that , also while you're there , check out saw the ride!
I might go to Cedar Point next summer. My home park is Six Flags Great America and they have X-flight and I was wondering, Do the vests on Gatekeeper tighten up like they do on X-flight? (I love X-flight btw)
I remember 2-3 year ago I rode this for my first time because it was my first upside down roller coaster, I cried waiting in line and backed out twice, but once I rode it I rode it 7 times until a storm came and the park closed
Love this ride! It's so smooth and relaxing. My stomach barely dropped on any of the drops & I have a weak stomach. You just feel like you're gliding in the air not like you're on a coaster.
I agree. Its probably the best ride if you're new.
Sounds kinda lame :-(
Forerunner omg thank you so much for saying that! The only rides I have been on are iron dragon and mine ride and I want to try this one
@@andiooop4914 have you tried Gatekeeper yet? Going tommorow and ive only done the mine ride and iron dragon aswell, barley handled them though lol not a roller coaster person but being forced...😂😫😫
@@iansnetwork Agreed, it can be a thrill and still be enjoyable. Not everything needs to be 5G's in your face the entire time.
This was the smoothest rollercoaster I've ever been on. I just sat pretty chilled while it was going. Love Cedar Point.
UniqueBabii13 Should I ride this as my first roller coaster?
Taylor Swift Fan EDIT: do this as a first, it feels like a birds flight, it's good for a first coaster
The Cringe millennium force has a very big droo
Taylor Swift Fan This was my first rollercoaster ride today and it's between this, and the millennium force that are the scariest rides to me.
Really, because the video cam on this looked shaky. Glad to know it's smooth.
Am I the only person who thinks that the track and trains of this ride look freaking awesome.. I would get in line just to see the trains up close
+AEguy Productions you only see one part of the coaster in line, but the size is still incredible. its fun to watch the ride on the first drop, but its a way different experience on ride the first time you do it.
+TheCubicBeat wow.. If I could go anywhere in the world it would be cedar point
AEguy Productions Me too my friend... me too
I been on this ride, not trying to make you jealous
Matthew Balthazar me too.
This was my first upside down roller coaster ever. I almost cried waiting in line for it.... and then I rode it three times. I LOVE it I felt like a bird. It was kind of relaxing and just beuifitul. The first loop was a bit scary but it made it fun
Sounds exactly like me :P I'd probably be crying too, haha.
bellamy_bell_blake they're called inversions not loops ;-)
Haha mine was cork screw at cedar point. Cried the whole time.... Then went back on 10 more times
Same. 2 years ago I was too scared to go on any of these. My brother all but forced me on the gatekeeper and all that fear...for nothing. Now I can ride anything!
THE EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME I WAS SO HORRIFIED BUT THEN I LOVED IT

How can u not love this ride? Loved it to the max.
Well this was the second time of me going to CP with a friend. The first time was with two friends for the weekend and for some reason, we could not stay off Millennium Force.
This was my first ever roller coaster I truly enjoyed. It looks terrifying but it's so fun!!!!
Waited 3 hours in line for gatekeeper. Best 30 seconds of my life
Ive rode it once, and remembering the how it goes can give me the chills!
My favorite ride of all time!!! Most smooth ride Iv ever rode!! Always have a special place in my heart!! My 1st ever cedar point ride and I made sure to ride front tow!!!
This ride at night is amazing
ikr this ride sucks in the morning. also, at night you get to smell the funnel cake being cooked it smells great!
It really is. My favorite night coaster experience so far by a lot

the harness's on this ride are amazing, no head bang at all, the harness's are also on Valravn
Love the tilted drop!
I love this ride because it’s so smooth and relaxing but still a pretty big roller coaster!
NO AMUSEMENT PARK CAN COMPETE WITH CEDAR POINT
HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!
love that ride gatekeeper is super smooth
I would agree, but I've never been there.
Been to a lot of parks, Cedar Point and Magic Mountain are a close pair, but in my opinion magic mountain is better by a slim margin.
Kings island.
Probably the smoothest coaster I've ever ridden. The outside seats make you feel like you're just gliding along
This ride is soooo smooth! It's like your flying! The front seat is really awesome. It's fun to ride at night too! :D
That's what everyone tells me YET i'm too scared to go on it cause I'm a pussy

loki352 Well said!
That is one of the clearest videos for a roller coaster iv ever seen

does it make your stomach drop a lot or make you dizzy? i have major coaster anxiety along with notion sickness but would love to try this next time!
I went to Cedar Point for the first time Memorial Day weekend, and I got to ride this about four times because there was absolutely no line (the longest wait was like fifteen minutes). It could've been the way I was sitting, but the restraints also dug into my waist, which didn't feel the best.

Crunchy_Cookie I honestly thought these were the best restraints, but everyone has their own opinions on things
It’s pretty chill, super smooth, and the most relaxing roller coaster at cedar point
Rode this on July 31, 2022. Loved it, super smooth ride and great views.
the coasters are so big at this park
I rode 2 weeks ago and IT'S THE BEST ROLLERCOASTER I RIDDEN!!!!!!!
This is such a chill ride I love it so much and it's one of the best ones to ride at night
I went to cedar point for the first ever time yesterday! I’ve never been on rollercoasters this big in my whole life, and gatekeeper was my favorite. I actually got to ride it twice! Make sure you take a deep breath at the first drop though. My vision went black a bit the first time lol
The slow wing over at the top of the first hill is the reason why this is my favorite coaster. 😊
First coaster at cedar point, fourth or fifth one ever. Absolutely amazing! And a short wait time on a Saturday (20 minutes) 10/10
When I went to cedar point last summer, the wait for this ride was only about 10 minutes. This was also probably one of my favorite coasters. Rode it about 4 times in a row due to it having such a short ride.
I love this coaster! Going in two days and can’t wait to ride it!!!
I’m watching this because I’m gonna ride this really soon CANT wait
This video does the ride NO justice. Amazing ride! SUPER smooth! It's not scary in the slightest it's just fun!
Thank you for including facts in the description. That's what makes a good youtuber, here's a sub 4 U

+TSFLYER4 Yea,this was my first ride and it was intense as hell,I don think I could even handle the Dragster as my first.
Jake From State Farm Yeah the Dragster was honestly my favorite ride there behind the Millennium Force. Wish I did it last.
2 for me

Haven't went on this yet but I'm planning on going on this this summer
I love wicked twister!(the yellow ride with the two poles) it looks scary but is awesome 👏 get on rides ur scared of and u might like them!
This was the first roller coaster I'm ever been on. At the first amusement park I've been to. My mom never lets me out of the house😂😂
