I think your could use some Glucosamine and Chondroitin for those joints of yours Jeff you sound like an old screen door lol. Nice suspension set up.
Cant agree more. I run the MXTech LUCKY forks on my KTM 18 350 EXC and they are amazing compared to stock. Yes you pasy stupid money for them (in Australian at least) but worth it in my opinion. Cheers
How much was it?
@@andrejskamla9736 around $1400ish for forks set and centre spring etc
Those rocks in the background look fun
Jeff, would the front and rear set up you have be better than buying a 2021 KTM? Love my 19, it runs perfect but I keep hearing about the 20 and 21 bikes and how they handle stock. To me your 19 seems to be set up perfectly.
Hello: The 2017-2021 KTM XCW/EXCF models all have the same suspension components with insignificant minor updates each year. The '2020-21 chassis has a more planted and lighter feel up front but the suspension components are the same as previous years and are mediocre at best. The Mule suspension totally transforms it into an amazing woods weapon.
@@slaverace1 Thanks Jeff! And thanks for the quick response - I've ordered many items from your shop with AMAZING results. I watch your Mule ride videos and then I get the bug and start ordering stuff you use to set up your bikes. All of the stuff you show on your mules have been excellent additions to my bikes. Thank you for all you do for us!!!
Im still trying to get this stock pds with revalve to work on my 21, but I think the mx tech full setup is in the distant future
The O.E.M. suspension components can be made to work well BUT not even close to the National shock and Lucky cartridges.
Hi Jeff,
When you say good comfort in rocks and roots, does this apply to low speed technical riding as well? Or do you mean at speed?
Also does the shock lower the ride height at all compared to stock ?
Thanks
Felipe Diaz
It works very well in all off-road conditions.
It does not lower the ride height but we can provide shorter travel components
Jeff Slavens would you say they are plusher than stock on slow rocks/roots riding? I’m a beginner to intermediate and spend most of my time on this kind of riding
Edit: I’m very interested in this kit, where can I contact you for a couple of more questions? Is email best ?
Thanks

They are plusher everywhere. Check out my bike test in the December 2019 issue of Dirt Bike Magazine.
Just picked up the lucky inserts for my husky with a linkage. Do you recommend any type of revalve for the shock so it works better with the new front? Not quite in a position to go for the the national shock.
Yes
What's the "mule" part of the Luckys? Valving?
The Mule Luckys have my offroad settings and are proprietary to Slavens Racing.
Grease those boots Jeff!! Haha
Yes. They are some squeeeeeeky bastards!
@@slaverace1 I used silicon spray on my new ones and instantly works to stop the annoying squeak!
Very cool bike!
jeff, will these work on a 2014 or 2020 ktm 690 enduro?
Sorry, no.
@@slaverace1, thank you for response. what suspension options do you offer for 2014 and 2020 ktm690 enduros? 2014 is harsh on rocks and roots. 2020 is better
@@damytzeus
Greg at www.factorysuspensionworks.com has a great set-up for 690s.
@@slaverace1 thank you!
@@slaverace1 what about Next Level Fork Pistons? can i use them in 690 forks? if yes, how much will that help?
I hear Gaerne SG12.
What front tire are you running?

Buy a Cone valve and you will never ride something different!
I've had Cone Valves before. It's a very aggressive fork that is good for many race applications BUT too stiff for most off-road, trail riding applications. WP offers very few tuning pieces for increased compliance and they are expensive. The Lucky System FAR exceeds the Cones for rocks and roots!!!
@@slaverace1 Hi Jeff, I see that you sell the Del Saggio how do these compare with the Lucky's for AZ rocks and some open desert?
@@RETROVERLAND
The Luckys are much more compliant in rocks and roots and have great bottoming resistance.
