I started crocheting a top similarly to yours. I'm using hdc in back loops with a hdc slip stitch ribbing. I didn't know hdc slip stitch was a thing and it looks like a knit stitch almost. I can't wait to finish my current top to make yours and compare the fits! Thanks for posting tutorials of your beautiful designs!
for reference only since i mostly have milk cotton yarn and i saw from your tiktoks that you used to use milk cotton yarn, what ply would you suggest i should get to make this top? (i would probably use indophil but i'm asking for milk cotton for yarn width reference only in a sense, hope you understand 😅)
I have been working on this pattern and am noticing the length of the top is uneven due to the tension of my slip stitch :/. Do you know if blocking the top after crocheting can fix it to be more even?
Hi! If your work is curling then it means your tension is too tight, you can try loosening up your tension. As long as you haven’t skipped or added any stitches, you should be fine! If it’s still wavy after you finish the project, you can try wet or steam blocking the project to reshape it. Hope this helps🫶
What I mean by blocking off is blocking off chains/stitches so that we have a ribbing band on the top and bottom because they are made of different stitches compared to the body so blocking them off with stitch markers makes it much easier to know when to switch. I hope this helps❤️
Hi!💜 you could attach an elastic cord to the inside of the top (where your shorter ribbing is) or I’ve also seen others attach silicone grip tape to help the top from slipping! I haven’t tried these methods yet, but I’ve heard from other crocheters that these are helpful :)
Usually, curling is caused by inconsistent tension! Maybe your slip stiches are too tight, try to make them more loose :) Or try using a bigger hook - I hope this helps❤@@jsuevshj

I would suggest 2ply or 3ply
I have been working on this pattern and am noticing the length of the top is uneven due to the tension of my slip stitch :/. Do you know if blocking the top after crocheting can fix it to be more even?
Blocking can definitely help, but I think you will have to block it every time you wash it
hey, do you think weight 2 yarn would be fine for this project? love your tutorials
Yes! I would size down my hook with a thinner yarn though💜 so happy you enjoy my content🥹 thank you!!
Hey! Is it possible to do it with half double crochet instead of a single? Or will it ruin the strech?
@@mayayauod9048 yes, you can do it with half double crochet instead!
Hi, i've done 7rows and it has turned up wavy not rectangular as yours so should i need to redo it or leave it as it is?

Hi,
I really love this fun easy top!🥰
Thank you for this tutorial. 😊
I only have one question. Did you used 100% cotton yarn?
Hi! In the thumbnail I used 100% cotton, but in the video I used 70% close skin velvet and 30% cotton yarn :)
thank you for the pattern! Is this top possible to knit as well?
I’m not sure, I only know how to crochet😅
@@GrannyGaia no problem, thank you :)
how much yarn do you usually use for a one crochet top?
@@RossAleuznelav-rb6iy please check the description for yarn details and how much I used
Is it applicable if use indophil yarn for this top?
Yes! You can use any yarn, just use the corresponding hook size :)
Can I use weight 4 yarn?
Yes! I suggest using a 5mm hook if you use a weight 4 yarn :)
@@GrannyGaiathank you so much ❤
how many rows of slip stitch and sc did you do for your top?
I didn’t count my rows and stitches, I just measured it against my body
Even with the stitch markers I managed to skip a bunch of stitches 😅 and gave up, the tutorial it's incredible i feel dumb though
It can be confusing! But you got this!💪💜
How many grams did u use for this tops po?
What is blocking off? May i know Why did you do that?

@ thank you for the info
Thnks my Nxt target
Can you attempt to make crochet shorts
I can add it to my list :)
hello (人*´∀`)。*゚+ thanks for the tutorial as always , is there a way to make the top strapless?
Hi!💜 you could attach an elastic cord to the inside of the top (where your shorter ribbing is) or I’ve also seen others attach silicone grip tape to help the top from slipping!
I haven’t tried these methods yet, but I’ve heard from other crocheters that these are helpful :)
thanks so much (*^3^)/~♡, also i have used a smaller hook size which caused too much curling is there a way to fix that?

'Promo sm' 🙄
How about the half double crochet
You can switch out the single crochets for half double crochets, that works too :)
