Collecting sperm at home for testing is something you can definitely do, if you find yourself unable to collect semen at the laboratory. Some men are just not comfortable collecting semen for sperm testing in a laboratory setting. In these situations, a home collection of semen can be recommended. When attempting to collect sperm at home some important tips to bear in mind include
1. Keep your hands dry while collecting sperm
2. Using a labelled wide mouthed container
3. Its also important to come to the laboratory within an hour of semen collection to do the semen analysis
4. Keep the semen sample container close to the body during travel. This will maintain the 37 degree temperature and help prevent depreciation in sperm motility

If someone is abstain from sexual activity for 15 to 20 days can semen analysis be done
