- Hi Guys,
For all my music lovers and subscribers out there looking for or deciding between a analogue USB Mixer or a FireWire digital analogue mixer.
Now I pretty much just had enough of the limitation of the Behringer Xyenx mixer which I loved but it really limited me when it came down to when I wanted to do multitrack recording that included my guitar, sythn hardwares, mic and more.
Saved up and pick up this mixing board and since than I have no such regrets and wonder why I didn't get this in the first place. Truly a multifunction mixing board that is not only portable in size but very powerful for a very unbelievable value that is so cheap for what your getting.
This is only the first of no doubt many other series of this mixer to come. I have to still cover the wireless recording capabilities and various software that is included and more.

This is a very good demo and review. If someone wanted to learn how to use this mixer this would be really be great! This is what a demo of how to operate this mixer should be. Good work!!! It was great that you actually demonstrated how to use the various functions on this mixer.

Can you apply the 31 band eq to the auxillary outs? Can you select between pre-fader and post-fader aux outs?
Ellias, I have been watching all of the videos on the Studiolive 16.0.2 and I keep coming back to look at yours because it is the most helpful to a newbie to digital mixers. Are you still planning to do any more videos on this unit? I bought a DVD that was helpful but only covered the 16.4.2 and gets bit confusing because to the controls being somewhat different. Thank you so much for all your help!
Hi Carl, thank you. I've not really thought about it but I still have the unit and use it a lot for composing.

Great video! Thanks for making this. Can you use this in conjunction with (say) Logic Pro X AND have automation?
Faders automate?
Ryanem - faders are not automation and neither or most things but yes you can use with in conjunction with logic pro and pro x but using the software studio live that comes with the mixer.. they even have vid on their site on how to use logic with it.

Isn't that the phase button next to the 48V phantom power? He called it low cut.
I'm having a problem with my mixer. I would turn it on and it would give out sound. But when I turn it off and on again it wouldn't give out any sound. What might be the problem?

Hey Elias, Are you still happy with your purchase? In the Netherlands the sell it for 720€ I'm looking to hook up my synths and elektron Digitakt and start a home-studio. This mixer looks future proof :) The tap button is nice for applying the effects on my live-jam.

I know this video old lol you probably will not check, but I have this board also I was wondering how to I use my maschine mk3 with this board to be able to use the sample feature everything work with the maschine all except that feature?

I noticed when you had selected both channels 1 & 2 the display indicated only channel 1 was selected.

Yes you can do this and its pretty simple.
1.Connect the input of your external effect to Aux 1 output at the back.
2.Make sure that knob in the Aux 1 (Output) section is set to unity, the u on the knob.
3.You would then go ahead and press the Aux Input A button and from there you would go to the fat channel, assign Aux Input A to the main outputs.
The meter should show your effects coming through.
how do I get all the 16 channels , as in 13 separately from 14 and the rest
So i could use only 2 effect together in the session???
Just a comment. The zero with the slash thru it, next to the 48v, is the phase button for each channel.
n2pdq yes that is correct, for each and every channel.
How's the latency inside the daw ?

+Denis Alexis Florentino - thank you.. difference is.. monitor is, your monitoring the sound as in your headphones..like your a dj listening to your mix, main out would be your two channel primary output of your final mix and aux is multiple output/input channel to route your sound or connect multiple gears or fx.
great video! Can you answer this one question for me. How do you see what fat channel setting you selected after you select it? When I Select a track...nothing seems to say that it is the Mail Vocal 1 Fat Channel setting. It always says what effects I used like Small Club...but never Acoustic Guitar? How do I keep track of that?
You must select the channel first and then all fat channel settings will be shown.

Dude that button next to 48v Phantom Power is not a "low cut" button. It's a phase switching feature.
How do I, along with one set of monitors, use another set and use a subwoofer with this board?
Run it from one of the 4 aux channels
Is 24bit / 48khz ok for recording studio quality?
I have a 16.0.2 and yes you can do 48khz and it's better res than 44.1 imho if you're in 24 bit.
The presonus Mixer setup - is good, but mine keeps popping and glitching my CPU
