"okay gotcha, I didn't see Rebels" I cannot tell you how hard my brain bluescreened at this I was SO sure that both of you had seen all the animated series
This was honestly the best episode of the series so far, in my opinion. Bill's acting was also really on point for a character with past traumas. I love how they cited operation cinder (which, for those who don't know, is a code that the emperor had messenger droids issue at his death. He basically consigned like half the empire itself to genocide for its failure to keep him alive, as he believed the empire didn't deserve to exist without him. Which is *absolutely* something that darth sidius would do XD) I also like how everyone that saw Din's face this episode is either literally dead or *legally* dead, which is definitely fun.
I think the craziest part about Din's character is I can feel and literally see his emotions even through his mask, like when Bill was talking to him in the Juggernaut. It is crazy how you can tell exactly what he is feeling and thinking without even seeing his face! SUCH AN INCREDIBLE SHOW! Saving stars wars and setting up so much especially with Disney's Investor stream, OH BOY!
That seismic charge made me remember my first interaction with star wars. I remember when i was a kid, i walked into the living room to find my dad watching the scene when Obi-wan was chasing Jango during episode 2 . After seeing the blast cleaving through the asteroids i immediately sat down and watched the rest of the movie with him. So the nostalgia really hit me this episode.
I really like the depiction of Migs' character as an imperial turncoat as opposed to Iden Versio's character in Battlefront 2. Iden goes from hardened imperial special forces to Rebel seemingly overnight whereas Migs experiences almost the same events but simply deserts, which I feel is more realistic than doing a complete 180 in ideology.
The way I imagine the Imperial ID system works is that since the Empire fell, maybe most of their database was lost. So it's easier to check who is with the Republic than who is/was with the Empire
Why would they call in the New Republic? Why dont you call Bo Katan, who wants the Dark Saber? A space assault and boarding action with a bunch of Mandolorians? Maybe last episode is a movie length episode?
If you think that the communique was sent to the Imperials in general but addressing Moff Gideon, wouldn't Bo-Katan receive it since she has an imperial transport?
This is random but I saw Yu Yu Hakusho was added to their poll list for a possible new show and Idk if they read comments. So if someone could inform them that it has one of the best dubs ever created/ it is a must watch that way for the slim possibility it wins, that would be great. It just adds so much to the show and I really want them to get the most out of Yu Yu :)
honestly while the ending is cool i think, it was also stupid because now if i was gideon i moved the kid or secure him with the dark troopers put everyone on high alert for a attack
Mayfield said before they entered that the scanners are NEW REPUBLIC not imperial. They weren’t checking if he was one of them, it was checking to make sure they weren’t in the new republic database. Mando has never shown his face so the database didn’t flag him as one of the people who it was supposed to keep out
@@PeverellTheThird Oh, come on! You got to admit this level of security is moronic even for stromtroppers. Any random scrub can learn where Mof Gidian is from a random face scan? Think about it this way instead of searching a small database of select empire leaders for access; it does the opposite; it goes through the entire population of the new republic to not give you access. Im still not buying it.
This felt like the weakest episode this season but I still enjoyed it. I didn't like how Boba repainted his armor as Mandalorians are proud to show the battle scar of their armor and getting out of a sarlacc pit alive should definitely be shown as a Mandalorian. The way it looks with the paint scratched off was very raw. Also it makes no sense why the computer would accept Din's face scan, then again, Disney is accustomed to bad writing.
Boba doesn't feel like he actually cares too much about Mandalore or how Mandalorians do things so I don't mind him repainting it. And to me it makes total sense why Din's face worked. These are the remnants of the Empire, they don't have a database of Empire agents and associates to scan through anymore, and creating one while being hunted by the New Republic is an awful idea. Instead they have two layers of security, getting into the compound, and not being registered in any Republic database. Din's never shown his face, therefore he wouldn't trip any alarms.
I don’t think it’s a matter of accepting the face scan. I think it’s more like a flag. That base was run by ex ISB and scans to ensure the subject’s genetic signature isn’t registered with the New Republic. It’s to ensure there’s no infiltration, but since Din has no affiliations, he’s cleared. Oddly, he doesn’t have to be certified with the Empire, he just can’t be from the New Republic.

For those who don’t know, Operation Cinder happened in the Battlefront 2 campaign. It was a machine that caused planet destroying storms to happen.
Dang
"okay gotcha, I didn't see Rebels" I cannot tell you how hard my brain bluescreened at this I was SO sure that both of you had seen all the animated series
Yeah, previous discussions definitely made it seem like that.
The beliver was that poor trooper with his lunch
I still feel bad for that guy.
All he wanted was a meal
@@rickfairchild5254 I hope he gets lot of food in heaven
RIP Trooper On Break. May you eat all the lunch you want in trooper heaven.
Hess is the believer.
Everyone seems to have forgotten a certain other Mandalorian who is looking for Gideon. One with a whole division of recently armed Mandalorians.
Plus she just took an empire ship.
Yeah, i really hope Bo-Katan will show up before the attack on Gideon.
Seriously I thought the same thing. She literally said I need the dark saber. They will 100% help mando out
They will meet up on the hunt for Gideon!👍🙂
Bill burr gave some of the best acting of the season incredible

Pedro has an incredibly rich and emotive voice. Great casting
FYI Rhydonium was the chemical the Separatists tried to use to blow up the Republic fleet in Clone Wars during the droid/Gregor arc

Oberyn Martell meets the Night King, circa GoT Season 9
The Imperial Officer also played The Night King in GoT
Bill's facial acting was incredible, like wtf.
Operation cinder happens in Star Wars Battlefront II.
The amount of excitement these guys bring to every fight scene is incredible

The thing that makes the Mandalorian so great is that it's clearly made from top to bottom by Star Wars fans.
man i had that same reaction with the seismic charges hahaha. That sound just feels like home doesn't it
So much, man
I really enjoy how you guys talk about the episode. There is so much insight.
14:15 Poor Shore Trooper, he just wanted to eat his lunch..lol
Its not just Inglorious Bastards. Most Tarantino movies have long conversation scenes ending up in violence.
I’m surprised I haven’t heard anyone say this.. But Mando is fucking HOT.
The way I imagine the Imperial ID system works is that since the Empire fell, maybe most of their database was lost. So it's easier to check who is with the Republic than who is/was with the Empire
Both of you sound like Frank Oz voiced characters going "WOW!" the entire reaction. LOL!
These episodes keep getting better and better. They are almost as good as your reactions to them lol. So hyped for next episode
Inglorious stormtroopers lmao. Richard Brake really did do an amazing job voicing that Imperial officer.
3:50 Dude can do some voice
acting go with that voice God Damn lol

Oh my God! I didn't know you all were reacting to this?!
the Isb had a base on scarif in rogue one
don't think Mandos armor is sealed. That episode when they threw him into the water he was drowning.
It's not a star destroyer. It's a light imperial cruiser
Great reaction and insight. Cheers again \m/
Gideon's ship is a light cruiser i think, not a Star Destroyer.

Its an old reference but it checks out.
Guy in red you’re adorable 🥰🥰🥰🥰
but those imperials who have seen his face have been terminated
Hey guys we are starting a gofund me page for that storm trooper that did not get his meal.
#JusticeForTroopie
9:57 can anyone say "Danger close" much?
Bill Burr did such a good job now I wouldn't mind if he became a crew member if they could get over their differences.
honestly while the ending is cool i think, it was also stupid because now if i was gideon i moved the kid or secure him with the dark troopers put everyone on high alert for a attack
God, I came when the seismic charges went off
Ooooow, that is the reaction heheh, I react by the same way
Scandalore
imp officer is creepy v creepy.
Okay hear me out this chapter was stupid
makes no sense. Is Mando ex imperial
How did he get access?
