You wouldn’t see trucks in the fields here in west of Scotland. Jesus they would be axel deep. Good video. Never seen articulated tractors at hay before

We have snowy winters, spring rains and dry summer and fall. By the time the hay is baled, the ground is dry and hard and supports heavy equipment and semi-trucks.

You know it is rough country when you see four wheel tractors baling and gathering and a road train to haul it out...

Some call it rough. But there is fertile soil, no irrigation needed, the scenery is beautiful and resourceful farmers who grow excellent crops and hay on sometimes very steep ground.

Please don't misunderstand. I wasn't slighting these farmers in the least. I am amazed they can grow crops on this type land. I am in the south east and at best here we have terraced land but nothing to compare with what you folks have there...@@Beej1121

This from Jeffrey Nelson, owner of JT Farms: It's a Morris Pro-Ag HD4SR. Thanks for the view. 2:49

It's nice to see favorable weather for hay is possible, now imagine an instance where the forecast calls for 4/5 days of decent weather and in the time it takes to mow a 20 acre field the forecast shifts from 5pct tomorrow to 85pct, this is northern Ohio.

This has been a good year for hay in this area. Relatively dry. But we have had some years just like you describe. The forecast says nice weather and and an hour later, a downpour.

No. The biggest mountain in the background is Moscow Mountain. It is just north of Moscow Idaho. The farther mountains in the distant are near Elk River Idaho.

Those big tractors must have good air conditioners

Yes. This type of haying is all done with machines.
