HIGHWAY 95 THORNCREEK PROJECT
A drone flyover of the US Highway 95 Thorncreek Project. It begins at milepost 338 just north of Thorn Creek and ends at milepost 344 just south of Moscow Idaho. This bypasses a very dangerous section of Highway 95 that has seen many traffic fatalities. The project is expected to open in mid-2025.

Friends Helping Friends: Jim Fredrickson

Over the last month, Jim Fredrickson became very ill and spent a couple weeks in the hospital. He’s home now, recovering, and getting stronger every day. His harvest crew worked hard every day he was gone and harvested all the wheat and canola. On Sunday, he had 1,000 acres of beans left to harvest. His crew was ready to start cutting on Monday with rain looming soon. On Monday, a bunch of frie...

Is the capacity of this harvesting machine large?

Congrats on the success of this one! Cool drone shots. I cant wait til I get a drone.
How many acres do the machines work on?
Fbr
Great video! I had no idea you all grew beans in that area. I've drove through Moscow, Idaho, and that region is the most beautiful farm scenery I have ever seen.

Felicidades. Precioso.
Por aquí por mi zona de España las fincas tienen una superficie de 2 hectáreas de media . Además las producciones son de 3000kgs x Hectárea. Da gusto ver esos campos tan grandes y fértiles. Muchas felicidades.
The comparison is interesting. If my math is correct, the average farm in Latah County, Idaho, is 368 acres (149 hectares). But the large scale farms that grow wheat, legumes, barley, hay, etc., probably average more than 2,000 acres (809 hectares). The wheat crop this year probably averaged 90 bushels per acre (2,450 kg/hectare). The field in this video is 160 acres (65 hectare).
Muy bonito. Aquí en mi zona de España las parcelas tienen 2 hectáreas de media. Da gusto ver esos inmensos campos tan fértiles. Muchas felicidades.
The comparison is interesting. The average large scale farm in Latah County, Idaho, that grows wheat, legumes, barley, hay, etc. on a rotating basis is probably 2,000 acres (809 hectares). A lot of acres are needed to justify the cost of so much very expensive machinery. Some of the new John Deere X9 combines are around one million dollars. The field in this video is 160 acres (65 hectares).
Muchas felicidades desde España
Nice video, well done great job!! I'd like invite you for my channel to see harvest in Polsnd.
Thank you, I will
I'm watching from kenya
OBAMA IS FROM KENYA......
the grains make a hell of a fall ^^, superb landscape by the way, and the quality is superb
machines with great uses that can solve the job quickly and efficiently
👍👍nice work 😀
Thanks 😁
That's a fantastic setup for hay

awesome!!!
Thanks!!
Nice equipment, good yield, nice day, what a nice job to be farmer
Driscoll Farms does a nice job on hay and crops and maintain their equipment. But it is hard work and some years the profit margins are very thin.
@@Beej1121 I know, i was a grain and potato farmer. Now i produce just maple syrup. I love working outdoor, and when the yield, and the climate is good, it's so pleasant working

Beautiful area. Got family in Washington/Idaho, seen it up close on The Palouse 👍✌️
I ĺĺĺlĺnll
You wouldn’t see trucks in the fields here in west of Scotland. Jesus they would be axel deep. Good video. Never seen articulated tractors at hay before
We have snowy winters, spring rains and dry summer and fall. By the time the hay is baled, the ground is dry and hard and supports heavy equipment and semi-trucks.
Wonderful place with a stunning view Happy Harvest!🙂
Thanks for visiting
Great Video, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
How many machines are you running?
According to John Bohman, owner of Ridgeview Farms: 2 combines, 2 grain wagons and 3 trucks.
R😊
Thanks for your video. A hinged draper head would work better for that uneven ground.
Must of had a lot of moisture at the right time !!! Wheat looks terrific. Here in Kansas poorest crop in years!! Drought 23....
It was a pretty good year. Lots of snow for ground cover and lots of rain in June. Dry ever since.
@@Beej1121 i hear that. moisture sure makes the difference…..
Great Video, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
great video!
Thanks for the visit
nice shots
Thanks for the visit
Nice video and thanks for making it for us. It would be good if you could lower the combine unload auger down closer to the cart when you are unloading on the go on a hilside. So far no combines do that.
Hahaha! its john! I do that! hehe
I'm editting a video and saw this on my feed
@@TrevorStruthers Haha, my good buddy Trevor-!
@@John-nc4bl i was leveling into the bank out today, because it was so windy. It works for that as well as helping with aim. I hear were not in the Palouse out here. Steeper than all that. This looks chill.
How is your yield 40-50 Bu?
According to Mike Calene, farmhand for Driscoll Farms: This field is in the high 90's bushels per acre.
Hello! It seems to be a good yielding crop.
Хороший.. Приемлемый.. Урожай..
What!?
According to Google Translation: Good Harvest.
@@Beej1121 👌
We were watching the combining :)
1500 pounds ?!
Yes. This type of haying is all done with machines.
