- I'm in the the process of making prototype pellet skirt repair kits to be used for JSB .177 and .22 cal pellets. All the tin cans of .177 and .22 cal pellets that we receive have dented skirts due to improper shipping and handling.
Pellet skirts that are dented produce very erratic points of impact at long ranges and are very inconsistent velocity wise as well.
This process works. The brits have been using pellet sizers for years and accuracy can even improved by changing pellet fit to your individual barrels
Thank you very much. I had a "Tin" of JSB pellets with some bent skirts. Thanks to you, now I know how to straighten them out. It seems also that the JSB's are the only pellets where I find the skirts are bent.
You’re very welcome. Other pellet brands have bent skirts too due to mishandling during shipping. This is common to us because we have to order them abroad and shipped to our country.
please post when you do have the kits ready. I'm interested
Awesome. I use a ring gage to size my skirts but never thought to use it in that capacity. I'm a machinist too smh.lol thanks for sharing 🍸
Ano po yan kuya ? Ano po trabaho niyo ? Keep it up and Keepsafe sa work mo Godbless you always po
Pellet skirt repair kit yan para sa mga pellets ng airguns na yupi. Thank you and Godbless also
Lol the bent pellets theme song in the background
So, you're a machinist, aren't you teasing us? When are you selling the kits and the kits to make our own pellets with hammer and block press/ tool hen , so we can use old wheel weights to make pellets, could make one with .177& .20 on one side and.22 & .25 on the other side a do it all set. Wanna make a few, need help, just ask.
And the jagged edges are left that way?
Yup! It’s better to have jagged edges than warped skirts. It flies straight too.
The Airgunnero - okay. It’s gotta be better than the tin of JSB .22s I just got. Look like every one of the five hundred are not true to spec. For the time sorting and repairing them might just go back to the Crosman premium HPs I’ve been using.
Thanks for the vid. Are you selling these tools?
Riccardo Rasberry I might sell them once my materials arrive.
@@TheAirgunnero ok, I'll subscribe and wait to hear from you. I received a tin of pellets so bad the supplier refunded my money and told me to just keep the pellets!
Esta muy padre donde lo puedo conseguir soy de México?
airgun A. Los estaré produciendo pronto. Todavía estoy esperando que lleguen los materiales.
@@TheAirgunnero estaremos al pendiente
I need this in my life... Hey, Hey, Heeeey... Don’t you forget about me! I want one please inbox me when they’re available 👌
Just throw em cheap skate😂🤣😂
At US $21 per tin and an 80% damage ratio I am forced to “repair” the skirts. I live in a country without a JSB distributor/retailer and I am forced to order them abroad and shipped to my place. 100% of all the tins that I receive have damages due to mishandling during shipping. That’s the sad truth 😞
Waste of time. The bent skirt, after being stretched back will have jagged edges that reduce accuracy.
handygent45 It is better than throwing the damaged pellets away and the jagged edges can be sanded off. 60-80% of the JSB pellets inside the tins that are shipped to me have bent skirts and I am forced to repair them considering its value (2X more than SRP) shipped to my country and delivered to my doorstep.
