Good video. Just one thing missing you may need to calibrate the touch screen. I used an Asus VT207N display which displayed the MODX screen perfectly but the touch screen functionality was not in sync with the menue items it was all over the place. To fix press buttons [Utility]+[Part] together then press [Enter]. You will see a small square on top left of the external screen, press it, you should hear a 'beep'. Do the same for the other squares as they appear. All good!
Not sure but the theory is the same. I think as long as the synth has a usb to device port it will be possible. However, check with Roland first if this will not damage your synth ! 🙏
in fact I have questions but for me it's a little too complicated I don't think you will be able to help me in fact let me explain I have a Yamaha Modx 8 plus question. I wanted to use us b but I couldn't find it for mac book 10.9.5. on the Yamaha website otherwise another question we sent free sounds I compressed mi on usb key but I can't download it into the synthesizer thank you
Hi ! You can use a USB hub as long as it a powered one but you will connect it directly to your MODX/Montage not your Mac. Regarding the files, you just need to upload any library to your usb drive, plug it in the USB hub, and load the file via MODX/Montage. I hope that helps !
After my trial with an old touchscceen ended with failure 2yrs ago,and now after watching this video i ordered from amazon another monitor. I hope i ll succeed this time
@@whattherec Thanx for the video!! Hi, I've tested with Arzopa and it didn't work. Now I've ordered a CoolHood. So I'm very curious to see if this works. Coolhood has a USB for touch connection. Do I also have to use this connection?
@@whattherec Quiet a strange question😁 Too many to write here. Crazy amount - in EVERY section. I gave up to write them down. Forgot most names. Yamaha-customers are not like the rest of the world🙈🙉🙊 I call it "WorkAroundStation". I don't know much about the Montage. Only, that your audio-out is better than my cheap crap. Have a MODX8 since about 3 years. Only the SN (sequencer) bug is known, admitted; but not fixed. ONLY THAT SINGLE ONE! MS behaviour is perhaps wanted this way. For me: nonsense (values) or crappy (sync/start parameters). The least buggy feature; so I use it much. Know how to workaround. Browsing arps causes sytem crash. One effect causes sound-crash, when parameters touched. Samples... did you ever check them? My daily work. The last crap I found "cello of st" or simular name. For me unimaginable, how such an obvious sh... could ever make it into a machine. Unbelievable!!! And there are maaaaany samples with terrible faults. Controller Arps: unusable! No starting point, so random behaviour. No sync; "synchronisation" doesn't exist at all; despite parameters (fake!). And absolutely ridiculous - noone ever talked about - I found it in the first hour after unboxing! : the rhythm-speed is not consistent; means changing while playing! All those MIDI-fake-players can feel lucky, that computers or the drummers have a reliable speed😉 Could imagine, that this is better in the Montage. Perhaps. But mostly I imagine, that noone knows those machines! Not even those "Tutorial YTers". I browsed ALL arps. I nearly inspected 50% of the samples, playing them on the WHOLE range. I inspected ALL effects. E.g. "sidechain compressor ducking" is the last crap on earth. Who cares...

Thanks! Just what I was looking for!
That's a major W. Thank you!
Nice, nice👍 Did you check the Roland screen? Horrible. A reason not to buy it😅 So this is a universal idea!
This is great! Thanks. I subbed

Whats your touchscreen brand?
Coolhood

@@ozcandurmusoglu Yep. I tested with two brands that did not work. I learned Coolhood (from my own experience) and Arzopa work fine.

@@Andre-Vossen Yes! Otherwise the touch function will not work. You need to connect it to two USB ports.
Instead of such playtoys one should better care for updates that solve this bug colony. But in order to do so one would need users who use it 100%.
What bugs are you referring to?
