What bugs are you referring to?

@@whattherec Quiet a strange question😁 Too many to write here. Crazy amount - in EVERY section. I gave up to write them down. Forgot most names. Yamaha-customers are not like the rest of the world🙈🙉🙊 I call it "WorkAroundStation". I don't know much about the Montage. Only, that your audio-out is better than my cheap crap. Have a MODX8 since about 3 years. Only the SN (sequencer) bug is known, admitted; but not fixed. ONLY THAT SINGLE ONE! MS behaviour is perhaps wanted this way. For me: nonsense (values) or crappy (sync/start parameters). The least buggy feature; so I use it much. Know how to workaround. Browsing arps causes sytem crash. One effect causes sound-crash, when parameters touched. Samples... did you ever check them? My daily work. The last crap I found "cello of st" or simular name. For me unimaginable, how such an obvious sh... could ever make it into a machine. Unbelievable!!! And there are maaaaany samples with terrible faults. Controller Arps: unusable! No starting point, so random behaviour. No sync; "synchronisation" doesn't exist at all; despite parameters (fake!). And absolutely ridiculous - noone ever talked about - I found it in the first hour after unboxing! : the rhythm-speed is not consistent; means changing while playing! All those MIDI-fake-players can feel lucky, that computers or the drummers have a reliable speed😉 Could imagine, that this is better in the Montage. Perhaps. But mostly I imagine, that noone knows those machines! Not even those "Tutorial YTers". I browsed ALL arps. I nearly inspected 50% of the samples, playing them on the WHOLE range. I inspected ALL effects. E.g. "sidechain compressor ducking" is the last crap on earth. Who cares...

@@naamanpratt Did you mean I should have said we didn’t record it live, so I don’t mislead the viewers? Sorry, I thought that was pretty obvious, especially since there were no mics on the drum kit. As a drummer, I figured you would’ve noticed that! 😊

I did it with an external vocoder and resampled it into the MODX. Then I decided to use the chromatic scale to sample each slice to make it easier and more user-friendly. I bet you are gonna love it.

Sure. You gotta click on the part (1,2,3 etc), edit (not category), zone settings and select the midi channel according to your external device. Exactly how I did with the M3r at the start of the video.

But I’m trying to edit a performance. Each time I click on the + it takes me to categories. If I then select an internal sound to go in the slot/zone and click edit, the zone setting option you show doesn’t appear. So how do I have zones for internal sounds and zones for midi set up on the same performance? I want to play internal sounds on some keys, and trigger external sounds on others. Can this be done from the MODX screen?

​@@davedagreat69 I totally understand where you're coming from. Basically, you need to mute the internal sounds you don't want to use in the performance. It is better to start with an "init" template. Please send me an email so I can show you with some screenshots: whattherec@gmail.com.

@@whattherec I had a MODX a few years ago and did a 1999 patch from scratch. Sounded pretty good, but I traded up to get the new Montage M. With that AN-x engine I was able to add a few more synth layers and now that patch sounds HUGE!
