i feel bad for devri, but i feel like the point of this video was well made. curly hair is a large category used to describe many different types of hair.
Kk’s worldxoxo Right and I'm trying to figure out why she has 240 likes. Black hair shops existed years ago. Who does she think started the heating tools, braiding and oiling of the scalp. Let's not forget the press and just comb your hair with conditioner in it and rinse....
I think in an extreme way it really shows how important it is to learn which techniques and products work for your hair. I feel so bad for devri's hair loss. I had to watch her with one eye closed. it was so painful.
Ashley Crystal i mean they BOTH sacrificed their hair just ig one had slightly better results idk I havent finished the vid yet. Edit: nvm both of them didnt get the best results.
I shampoo, condition & detangle, deep condition with a shower cap, layer on my DIY oil and a leave in, and twist. All in the shower. I pretty much to the breakdown method. Chile, once I leave the shower...... let's just not. Save the coin by keeping the water pressure as low as possible and invest in a shower head that has a shampoo button to turn it to a trickle. Or shower at the gym. Lol! Right now, the hair loves Made Beautiful products and that Macademia Natural Oil deep repair mask. I get my entire life with this mask. Gym days, it's DevaCurl. I have tried decadence yet.
Now I want to see them follow the same hair care routine as a bald man: 1. wash your head with the same bar of soap you use for the rest of you 2. rinse 3. towel off
Oh, I feel sorry for Devri! I think it's nice Christina apologized, but it appears as if both volunteered for this project, so I'm not sure an apology was necessary. But it was nice of her.
Evelina Olofsson well, 3c hair is a way more complicated texture than 2c hair. Basically, the whole routine was bad for her hair because of the hair type. Routines like that literally do ruin 3a-4c hair. 😶
Poor Devri! lol She stuck with it though. Cause if I had to cut out chunks of my hair, I'd be through lol. But I do appreciate you girls actually complete the challenge even if you dont like it or it comes out disasterous. Good vid, ladies!
My hair care routine is: *section my hair into 4 *finger detangle my hair to remove the shedding *Shampoo hair *Deep condition and leave it on for 30 min to a day (because sometimes I'm lazy) *Rince out conditioner *Put on leave in conditioner along with shea butter and detangle *Braid hair into cornrows
Clumsy Me My hair is waivy but my hair rotine is: 1.wet hair 2.add shampoo in scalp and then ends 3.brush 4.condicioner 5.let air dry 6. Add a recovery cream Then the next day put a heat protector with a lot of moisture .😐
My hair care routine is kinda simple but time consuming. I shampoo my hair, rinse it out, and deep condition it with loads of conditioner. Then, after my hair is done deep conditioning, I detangle it. The last step is moisturizing my hair, locking it in with oil, and letting it air dry. Transitioning is hard work ...
I need Cristina's routine because I have 2c hair but really don't know what to do with it so it looks more like hers did after she combed it while wet.
Erin Rose whenever you shower wash and condition your hair upside down because I.T gives your curls more bounce and volume. Also scrunching your hair while it’s wet is really good because I.T helps your curls stay, and if you want use a hair product that helps curls hold there shape and scrunch I.T in while your hair is wet. i have 2a/2b hair but i can’t exactly give you my hair care routine since we have different hair textures but really you just have to find the routine and hair products that works best for you
I don't have a super good routine yet but SCRUNCH YOUR HAIR. Do it when you dry your hair. It helped my curls come back and my hair not look so frizzy. Also never brush your hair. Go through it with your fingers. There's more steps but I don't know them. Btw I have 2c/3a hair
1. Bentonite clay mask for a couple hours 2. rinse out and shampoo 3. deep condition 4. section 5. moisturize 6. apply gel using the raking and smoothing method 7. air dry 8. rock my wash n go
I'll give you the really simplified version of my lazy 4c wash and go. 1.)Wash my sectioned hair with my cleaning conditioner 2.)Use my Aunt Jackie's 'fix my hair' conditioner. (since it's my lazy day use leave in rather than masque) 3.)Coconut detangling and conditioning time 4.)Quick run through with my coil moisturizing souffle 5.)If the curls aren't still poppin then some styling gel 6.) Put that hair up in my goto scarf up do and I am good as gold
Same, my routine is really, really simple but I use raw products (shea butter, sweet almond oil, castor oil etc..) because no products I like seem to ship to Japan. 😭
Devri’s southern accent is goalllllsssss. I wish my accent was that pretty. Instead I’ve been told I sound like a ghetto, country, valley girl. So... yea
I have been studying English for awhile (not my first language) and I think the accents are so cute and powerful. The "ghetto" sounds like a powerful beat, country sounds like the person is going to give the best hug of your life and the valley girl sounds like rich people from California lmao. Don't worry about it
i dont do wash-and-go's that often since i have 4c hair (not saying that 4c hair cant wash and go but the shrinkage KILLS me haha) but when i do i use as i am leave in conditioner -followed by shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie -i make sure to use my denman brush to detangle in between too - i use eco styler as my gel and finger it through my hair:)
I feel really bad for Devri having to cut out chunks of tangled hair :( My hair is 2C like Cristina. It's also very thick, medium/course and low porosity. I like to keep a relatively simple routine: - At times I prepoo (that's how you call it, right?) my hair with olive oil, coconut oil or a mask (sometimes it even has protein(!), my hair is slightly damaged from dyeing it). - Shampoo with Sheamoisture Fruit Fusion Coconut Water Weightless Shampoo or Jane Carter shampoo - Hang upside down and slather/massage ditto conditioner (great for low porosity hair!) in and leave it while I wash my skin - Detangle upside down (usually by adding some more condish and water) and scrunch in some more conditioner or leave-in if I have it - Cover with microfiber towel (whichever way) - Cover hair with Ecostyler gel (whichever, but I like the clear one best) upside down and then scrunch and later scrunch both 'sides' - Airdry or diffuse if I'm feeling fancy
I'm Hispanic and my hair is 3b. Detangling it is a nightmare. But I assume that having kinky tight curls is MUCH worse, and I have no ideA on how bad it is to detangle. I love my hair but I really hate that right after I detangle it, I let it dry, even if I haven't messed with it or been outside, if I don't like the way it dried and I try to brush it, IT'S TANGLED.
Devri's hair is almost exactly like mine, except I'm low porosity. The texture, thickness. The tangles😩😩. My heart was hurting for you, Sis. Oh and if I'm not mistaken, that Controlled curl cream is available on their website for free. You just pay for shipping.
Same I am 11 and do not have the time and I have frizzy baby hairs and wave/curly hair in the black and nothinggggggggggggg will keep thoughts baby hairs down
god, I can't even use conditioner because my hair is /too/ soft already and it just weighs it down flat against my head. 🙈 I assume most people with dry or coarse hair would love to have that problem, but it sucks lol.
Brittany Thomas I hate when my hair is to soft I’m mixed so my hair is super curly like mix girl curl lol and when it’s to soft and all in my face my head be high key gettin heated
I've been looking for my first professional job. This is my interview hair routine: Step 1: Wet hair and apply a detangler and then detangle gently with a wide tooth comb starting from the ends and working my way up Step 2: Rinse detangler out Step 3: Part hair into sections and apply shampoo at roots, then I use my nails to scratch and massage my scalp to make sure the shampoo distributes well across my scalp Step 4: After less than a minute of massaging I quickly rinse my hair. (I want to make sure my shampoo doesn't dry out my hair too much.) Step 5: Make two sections and apply conditioner using the squishing technique. Step 6: Gather and then clip hair on top of my head and then wait 5 minutes while the conditioner does its work Step 7: Use a wide tooth comb to detangle and then rinse out the conditioner. Step 8: Turn off shower and squish out as much water as I can. Step 9: Apply three half dollar size dollops of leave-in conditioner evenly throughout hair using the squishing technique. Step 10: Section hair into 4. From crown of my head down to the base. Step 11: Detangle lowest section with a wide tooth comb. Then section out smaller pieces and further detangle hair with a finer tooth comb before then hand twisting the piece of hair into a contained curl. Alternating curl directions. Step 12: Work my way up detangling and twisting as I go. Step 13: Flip hair over spray hair with an anti frizz and heat protectant and then diffuse hair until almost dry. Step 14: Separate larger twists. Step 15: Take each section of hair behind my ear and then pin them behind my head. Pull up curls above the pinned section to create more volume. Pin bangs to the side. And voilà! A tidy curly hair interview style! I typically just apply leave-in and then let my hair air dry overnight. Then hand twist the frizzy under section and my bangs in the morning.
My hair care routine is stepping in the shower and using my sulfate free shampoo twice, then I use a lot conditioner and rinse out with cold water. I then use my leave in conditioner and de tangle my hair while the leave in conditioner is still in then. I use an oil to lock it in, then I use a hair pudding, then I re-rinse my hair but only spray like 5 sprays on the sections, then I get my cotton t shirt and put cold water on it to remove some of the excess product then I let it air dry.
btw i rinse my hair i use jason black jojoba oil hait growth wash and giovanni/2chic olive oil conditioner amd i let it air dry then comb it out or style it
Brooo like everyone’s talking about having these super extravagant hair care routines but like all I do is use shampoo and conditioner and that’s it like every two days whaaaaaattt
some people need kinda busy hair care routines to keep their hair just looking low maintenance. i used to only use shampoo until i realized how much nicer my hair looked with masks, conditioner and mousse.
Depends on your hair for the girl with Afro texture hair that would lead to breakage and damage because our hair has curls so it's harder for sebum to go an all of the hair strands Wich leads to getting dry and tangled, so leave in conditioner help to moisturize while the oils help do seal in the moisture. Heat also helps the hair aborb product it it's lower in porosity
Hair porosity is how much a your cuticles are raised Wich determine how much product your hair takes in and how long it takes to leave the hair strand.
Y’all were so chill while handling the issues along the road! I was too scared to step out of my quite straightforward hair care routine hhh. Pretty much the good ol’ washing your hair with a nice Kirkland shampoo, scarcely applying some conditioner and letting that sit for a second and some leave in, scrunching, and air drying at the end! I would love to try some new products after seeing this strangely enough though!
Damn. I actually feel bad, like I'm imagining if I would do that to my hair, the amount of knots. Smh I I think I would've just preferred getting fired.
i first take a shower then i add in leave in conditioner and comb and brush my hair then i add water and a little bit of styling gel to enhance my curls and lay my edges and i blowdry it and let it hang loose
I pre-poo and detangle with aloe vera gel. I section my hair into four parts. I clarify with either a mixture of shampoo and apple cider vinegar or bentonite clay. Then I use my Aussie conditioner to detangle again. I deep condition with a mix of the coconut oil, Jamaican black castor oil, olive oil, and the organix coconut conditioner. After 20-3 minutes I rise out the deep conditioner. I moisturize my damp hair with cantu styling cream and my oil mix to seal in the moisture from the water. To style I use Eco-Styler for my wash n goes, and dry my hair using a diffuser.
My hair routine: 1 shampoo hair 2 condition and detangle 3 use 6 different leave in products 4 but hair in mini braids 5 put hair in sleep cap cuz I'm broke and can't afford a silk pillowcase 6 wake up and cry 7 put hair in sad bun
my wash and go routine for low porosity 3c/4a hair 1- Wash with Giovanni's Smooth as Silk clarifying shampoo/deeper moisture conditoner. 2- Deep condition with shea Moisture's Manuka and Mafura Oil Deep conditioner 3- Spray hair with some Aloe vera juice 4- Apply Kinky Curly Knot Today 5-Apply Shea Moisture's Curl Enhancing smoothie followed by an oil to seal in moisture
i got the whitest caucasian-est hair imaginable. Doesn't hold a curl or anything. But it's dryer than my bank account so before i wash it, i go in with a deep conditioning routine using either a hair mask or black castor oil. Then i wash it that evening twice with shampoo, go in again with a conditioner and rinse it. I wrap it up, (don't rub it dry!) then apply a leave in conditioner and blow dry upside down. That's it, and i still look busted with all my flyaways (breakage lmao)
My routine detangle Shea curly hair shampoo and hair mask or there conditioner. Towel dry braid in pigtail style and then let it go crazy eight hours later when dry
I have a very, very long washday. I dont have a fixed schedule, I'll just wake up with some energy and messy hair and be like WASHDAY!!!!!! Get in the shower ( with my glasses on because im forgetful) get out of the shower ( to put my glasses away ) Get back in the shower ( after staring at the tub because i dont trust anything without my glasses ) shampoo with some African back soap, rinse, condition with a mix of Cantu and Aussie, began to detangle, get tired, sit down, think about life, detangle some more, get some conditioner in my eyes, detangle even more, start to sing as i detangle , remeber that show Maury is on, detangle wothout singing because i wanna know who the father is, detangle...AND I FINISHED DETANGLAING... Put my glasses back on even though there foggy, I then dry my hair with a microfiber towel and put oil and bunch of Shea moistures curl enhancing smoothie to tame the frizz ( it doesn't work for my frizz, but smells like im almost finished with my washday ) And the end product is clean and moisturized hair with glasses that are now smudged with hair product 😂😭
I have 3c hair and for my wash and go's, I shampoo with OGX Biotin and Collagen. I don't really like their Biotin and Collagen conditioner. So, instead I use a conditioner called Curly Sexy Hair from Sexy Hair and detangle in the shower while conditioning. Then, I use the LOC Method as my guide to my beautiful curls. By the way, for each of these steps I part my hair into 4-6 sections. For my leave-in I either use the Cantu Leave-in with Shea Butter or Shea Moisture's Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen and Restore Leave-In Conditioner. Next, I finger detangle and then brush through with my handy dandy Denman brush. For my oil, I use Almond Oil or Black Castor Oil and use the "praying hands" technique🙏🏽. The following step is to use the Cantu Coconut Curling Cream and scrunch just a little bit. Sometimes I even use the Shingling Method to distribute all the products in steps. Finally, I just air dry and taaa daaa. That will conclude my wash & go routine.
Faith Vaea I use the Cantu for natural hair too & the Shea moisture Jamaican castor oil leave in. I only use an oil for the can't but the JBCO I only use that & leave(I do have to use a little since I am protein sensitive)...
I have curly hair and I always have to brush my hair before washing, and I have to deep condition pretty much every time I wash. So interesting to see your routines 😊
My wash and go routine is pretty straight forward for my 4b hair! I use the shea moisture dandruff control shampoo and conditioner, then after that some leave in conditioner and a little bit of castor oil to define those curls!! Love trying out new products and finding what works for my hair so I would really love to win this giveaway. Loved the video 💜
My routine is simple I just wash my hair with a silicone free conditioner. And I detangle my curls in the shower with the same conditioner. Then I plop my hair in a tshirt get dressed and then just add some devacurl foam, scrunch, and defuse.
My hair care routine: 1. Spritz hair with water and use conditioner to detangle. 2. Rinse out conditioner and shampoo scalp massaging scalp. 3. Deep condition and cover with a cap for 30 minutes to an hour. 4. Rinse well then do a cold water rinse. 5. Style using the Lco method on soaking wet hair. 5. Air dry while not touching or playing in your hair.
I really enjoy watching swapped hair care routines. Devri is so pretty. Love her hair!! I wash my hair once per week and in the middle of the week I co-wash. After I wash my hair I apply deep conditioner and sit under the steamer. Afterwards it's just the usual leave-in conditioner, styling cream and sealing it in with oil.
My hair care routine is pretty similar to most others. shampoo, condition. Flip head upside down and wash conditioner out, then detangle and put in a leave in. Final step is scrunching in some gel, scrunching out excess water with t-shirt and then air dry. Basically I do a lot of scrunching in each step. lol
I just big chopped! So I'm trying to get my new routine going, lord knows I need help. Now that it's so short it is easier, I can't lie. Step one- detangle before adding any product with a paddle brush. Step two- Shampoo hair with Shea Moisture Castor oil shampoo line Step three- Condition hair with Suave Coconut oil conditioner (best thing EVER!) Step four- Use hair mask, Im currently using the oil olive one. And massage scalp with coconut oil and add some to the strands. Apply TWO shower caps & a towel to trap that heat gurrrl! Step five-rinse out & go !
My hair is this awkward stage between curly and wavy like some parts have beautiful little curls and other parts just have a little. My hair care routine is really simple. I wash my hair every 2 days. I use sulfate free products. I shampoo my hair the first thing in the shower. After that, I put my conditioner in and leave it in a clip the rest of the shower and rinse out the conditioner last. When I get out, I use a t shirt instead of a towel to dry it. I use a pea sized amount of coconut oil on my damp hair and comb it out before it dries all the way. I wish I could afford nice products but I also need to eat and pay rent lol.
For devri, using thick curling products that’ll add moisture, any kind of oil but my favorites (castor, coconut, and peppermint oil) is amazing and light alcohol free gel helps so much.
I have locs so my life is complete. I wash with either VO5 or creme of nature sulfate free moisture shampoo. Then condition with either VO5 or CON conditioner. If my hair is feeling dry I add oil to the VO5 and leave on for like 20 minutes (I have very low porosity hair). Then I rinse. Do the LOC method. Liquid leave in. Coconut oil. Went Biologics heavy cream on special occasions. Dollar Tree creamy leave in conditioner on the regular.
I like that both girls are actually proud curl owners, but how small changes like to blow dry or not to blow dry, to use this brush vs. fingers makes so much difference. It just shows how close we all are, yet still unique in expression and results!
Bruh okay so my wash and go is the most but if my hair drys out it takes on a feel of cotton. not the one you buy at the store but the stuff in the fields. So i have so many steps. 1. wash hair(twice) 2. condition then sit under dryer for 10 minutes 3. rinse conditioner 4. Run Taliah Waajid natural hair cream through hair 5. Run Maui deep conditioner through 6. Comb hair 7. Go crazy with coconut oil 8. then black castor oil with lime and peppermint oil 9. massage scalp 10. now put in softee hair growth oil. 11. Put in Elasta Qp for curls 12. spray Carol's Anti frizzing leave in condtioner 13. now either leave hair wet to dry on the go or a go under the dryer for 20 minutes Being natural is actually alot of work but its fun to create new styles
What I do is wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner then scrunch. I can never find the right curl creams and stuff for me. So I would be very exited if could try your stuff. You guys are awesome keep up the good work.
My routine is pretty involved since I have long, thick, tangle-prone curls but I only do it about every week or so. Everything done in sections : ) 1) Pre-Poo/detangle 2) Shampoo 3) Deep condition 4) Apply leave in, seal, apply my gel and either twist or style in a wash and go
ok lol so i have 4a-4c coarse low porosity high density hair. with my wash and go i'll first wash out the protein treatment or deep conditioner i put in the night before with 16 twist in ny hair, depends on the week. i protein treat with a mayo and olive oil mask. i deep condition with the eden body works coconut and monoi all natural deep conditioner. shampoo (only on scalp)with the ogx weightless coconut water weightless shampoo then i condition with the ogx coconut curls conditioner with the twist still in my hair. i put on my shower cap while i u know, scrub my body😂. while washing out the conditioner i take down the twist and detangle with my wide tooth comb. while my hair is still under water i part it in 4 sections, 2 on each side. when i get out of the shower i immediately take down 1 part and apply shea moisture jamaican black castor oil leave in conditioner. i then apply the Shea moisture coconut and hibiscus curl enhancing smoothie. i put in the Shea moisture coconut and hibiscus curling gel souffle and brush it in with my denman brush. i do the same to the other sections. once I'm done with every section i finish with spraying the Shea moisture raw shea butter reconstructive finishing elixir. i flip my head upside down and diffuse for a good 30 seconds. that's a lot longer than i expected…
Hi my name is Sophia and I have 2c-3a curls in my washing go routine is the shampoo with the Garnier curl shampoo and then condition with the Garnier curl conditioner I get out of the shower then put in leave in conditioner whatever I have in my cabinet. After that I put my hair up in a topknot with the cotton shirt I wait like 5-10 minutes for it to dry a little bit in the shirt then I get the diva curl styling cream and a little bit of BB curl styling cream and put that into my hair and let it air dry. And that is my hair care or wash and go routine I would love to get the leave in conditioner in the towel thank you.
I have 2B/2C hair! I start with a smoothing shampoo and conditioner like the Aussie 7 in 1 shampoo and 3 minute miracle moist conditioner. I brush my hair while in has conditioner in in with the wet brush and rinse. While my hair is still soaking wet I use a quarter sized amount of R&B from lush in a scrunching motion then I wrap my head in a turbine twist. Once it's half way dry I add a little more R&B and put all my hair to one side and switch every 5 minutes to create volume until dry!
I Shampoo with the Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Condition with the Aussie Moist then rinse off with cold water, wrap my hair with a microfiber towel, put in lots of leave in conditioner, then something to hold my curls mousse or gel and while I'm styling it I'm always scrunching just so the curls get very nice and defined, then I just defuse it. Pretty simple hair routine takes me atlas 40 min to do.
Yay!! If you visit our website and search her name, you'll find all the articles she's written about products, routine, etc. Her hair looks AMAZING...when she gets to use her own products LOL
NaturallyCurly every time you feature a curly girl you should put the link of that in the info or in the doobly-doo to make it easier, I don't even know her name, they dont say it in the video, how am i going to find her?
Found this Chanel a few months ago and I have been in love ever since. 1. Cleanse ( I either use Calia naturals purifying shampoo for dry hair or the deva curl no-poo original) 2. Condition and detangle ( I either use the Calia naturals purifying conditioner for dry hair or the deva curl one conditioner original and I just use my Woden brush from urban spa to detangle) 3. Style- I use a pea size amount of the deva curl coconut curl styler and finger comb it through, than I do the same thing but with the deva curl touchable curl definer 4. Scrunch- and finally I flipped over my head and scrunch in the deva curl light defining gel 5. Go And that's my wash and go routine, also I'm about a 3A-3B curl type
I would never swap routines with anyone, not because I don't want my hair to suffer, but because I don't have a wash-n-go routine and they'd wind up losing hair like Devri.
Why are people using so many products? Is that normal? Is there anything wrong with me for using only shampoo and conditioner (and a pea sized amount of coconut oil sometimes). Im so happy I am lazy...
I use only shampoo, conditioner makes my hair too greasy even with the smallest amount. My hair is 30 inches long, very thick, and extremely curly. Sometimes I use a heat protectant when I straighten it. All of these products just seem useless, for caucasian hair at least, I can't speak on other types of hair :)
my routine is very simple I wash and apply before coconut oil to my roots, face, and bottom ends of my hair leave it in a towel and then wash it out after two hours with shampoo 2 times.
i transition so i section my hair sampoo and condition then i use a old t shirt to dry and add more water comb out use LOC method and do a twist updo....hope i win this summer heat drys my hair and im running out of product 😬😂
My hair routine normally consist of shampooing, followed by conditioner, then I detangle, apply my deep conditioner, rinse, get out and twist! Then air dry. Wash and gos are a no for me! I hope Devri salvaged her hair poor girl lol
I use an ACV rinse and I follow that up with a conditioner my favorite one right now is tropic isle JBCO conditioner, than I apply my leave in which is the shea moisture JBCO leave in than I add my concoction of oils ( avocado, sunflower,JBCO,) After that I style with cornrows, Bantu knots or twists.
I've been natural about 3 years now and I'm still getting use to what works for my natural hair,I usually wash my hair in the shower using any type of shampoo,I do this in four sections and then rise the water out and then apply my shea moisture leave in conditioner and that's usually my wash and go lol I'm still learning!
I love how Devri says something like she might be mad but then just says, "Alright, cool."
that was sarcasm, she was most definitely still mad :p
@@misscharlieaurora5772 she was joking
i feel bad for devri, but i feel like the point of this video was well made. curly hair is a large category used to describe many different types of hair.
Devry is coily and coarse. Christina is curly and silky. Its not just the products used. What is messing the hair up is the TECHNIQUE
"I haven't seen my scalp in weeks" 😩😍
#honesty LOL
Lindsey Rachel lol story of my life
sunflower child mine too! 😂
Lindsey Rachel my hair is a little bit curly but doesn't have that much volume so I still can see my scalp 😂
totally could relate
My hair routine as follows: wake up, cry while brushing, shower, biosilk, argon oil and detangler spray, and be late
Dani Meh Me

i've convinced myself that i don't even have a scalp anymore lmao
Lol same

Devri reminds me so much of Beyonce when she talks. The sound kind of and the way she talks while smiling.
that's so true! this sounds cheesy but both of their voices sound kind and inviting
Nevertrustaduck she does!!
She is from TX so it makes sense! I love Devri's vibe ✨
missarnold1988 I
I was JUST thinking the same thing. They have a similar tune. Devri is slightly a higher pitch but very similar to Beyonce's
Can you imagine what we had to deal with when black hair shops didn't exist yet? 😩 I suffered as a child.
Altina Latina Black.mix with other stuff & hunni our Black hair shops were our mothers, aunt's etc kitchen, kitchen table, living room etc..
Where was u at den cuz u look young in my mom looks older than you in got her hair done all the time since she was a child in know🤔😂💀
Kk’s worldxoxo Right and I'm trying to figure out why she has 240 likes. Black hair shops existed years ago. Who does she think started the heating tools, braiding and oiling of the scalp. Let's not forget the press and just comb your hair with conditioner in it and rinse....
Michelle Gomez exactly
Altina makes me happy that I had straight hair as a child and didn't get curly hair till later in life but I feel sorry for the sisters that did.
I think in an extreme way it really shows how important it is to learn which techniques and products work for your hair. I feel so bad for devri's hair loss. I had to watch her with one eye closed. it was so painful.
Okay but christina was so sweet and devri was so sweet and polite and just yes thank you keep being good people
Homegirl really sacrificed her her hair for this video, props to Devri 😂💛
Which one is devri
Reina Rivera
I can’t tell if that’s sarcasm but devri is the girl with really curly hair and no glasses
slushu _ why would that be sarcasm
Ashley Crystal i mean they BOTH sacrificed their hair just ig one had slightly better results idk I havent finished the vid yet. Edit: nvm both of them didnt get the best results.
They both equally sacrificed their hair for this
Nothing was worth Dervi's inches! She was such a good sport though.
Vision IKR! I was crying for her hair
I knowwww
Vision ain’t nothing in the world gonna make my cut my hair for a yt video
Oh Devri, I'm in prayer this WHOLE video. Jesus restore. GIRL!
Naturelle_D lol Same dow
😭💀
I was the 2,000th like!
devri is such a good sport
Now I want to see them follow the same hair care routine as a bald man:
1. wash your head with the same bar of soap you use for the rest of you
2. rinse
3. towel off
Sounds like my hair routine
Lol
As someone with curly hair i just have to say this is nightmare material 😂😥
I could never-
Haha to be honest it’s not that far from my straight hair routine. Wash and condition, let air dry , brush, done.
That black girls voice is soooo soft and i love her accent so much 😩😍
she sounds just like beyoncé
Same here. Its so cutee
Oh, I feel sorry for Devri! I think it's nice Christina apologized, but it appears as if both volunteered for this project, so I'm not sure an apology was necessary. But it was nice of her.
Rachel Gordon You can feel bad someone had to go through something like losing their hair and apologize without being at fault
Evelina Olofsson well, 3c hair is a way more complicated texture than 2c hair. Basically, the whole routine was bad for her hair because of the hair type. Routines like that literally do ruin 3a-4c hair. 😶
Rachel Gordon don't feel bad for devri hair just because she has more course here doesn't mean you should be feeling bad for her

Tbh her hair is more 3A curls those arent waves
Spider Squirrel Thats definitely what I thought! My hair is 3a and is quite similar though mine is a but more spiral curls
Lynne Bass Same here!
Those are waves sis
Nope LMFAOOI its def 2a. 3 is more like spirals

Devri is soooo pretty
So is christina

@@aniyahbtw devri has had her moment now it's time for christina
@@hi-xl9px Didn't I just say "let Devri have her moment" Literally please begone thanks
Poor Devri! lol She stuck with it though. Cause if I had to cut out chunks of my hair, I'd be through lol. But I do appreciate you girls actually complete the challenge even if you dont like it or it comes out disasterous. Good vid, ladies!
My hair care routine is:
*section my hair into 4
*finger detangle my hair to remove the shedding
*Shampoo hair
*Deep condition and leave it on for 30 min to a day (because sometimes I'm lazy)
*Rince out conditioner
*Put on leave in conditioner along with shea butter and detangle
*Braid hair into cornrows
Clumsy Me that’s what my mom does but my hair is wayyy to thick and long so she can’t do that on me
Your hair routine is soooooooo similar to mine
Clumsy Me My hair is waivy but my hair rotine is:
1.wet hair
2.add shampoo in scalp and then ends
3.brush
4.condicioner
5.let air dry
6. Add a recovery cream
Then the next day put a heat protector with a lot of moisture .😐
"30 mins to a day" 😂😂😂
My routine:
1) wash it
2) let it dry
3) brush it..
Its really complicated guys please pray for me..
Pixel Star I feel u I don't know how to deal with my natural hair anymore
noni chan What's your hair type?
May I ask what transitioning means in this context? I'm guessing it's moving from heavily straightened/relaxed hair to your natural type?
LyraAdams Yes.
LyraAdams I am moving from relaxed to natural hair
my hair routine as an asian girl:
step 1: brush hair
BuBbLeYeLlY there are Asian girls with curly hair 👩🏻🦱!
Damn, y'all don’t even gotta wash your hair.
I'm asian and i have curly hair-
@Nicoll idk if that helps ":)
Nicoll some Asians perm their hair so it stays curly even after a shower.
@@Rose-pv8gr I kind of need to brush my hair. Its gets tangled very easily.
Look up the curly girl method
1. Bentonite clay mask for a couple hours
2. rinse out and shampoo
3. deep condition
4. section
5. moisturize
6. apply gel using the raking and smoothing method
7. air dry
8. rock my wash n go
Charel Samuel Where can I buy the clay from please?
amazon
Devri has such a calming aroma about her,, no cap I could listen to her speak for hours 😂
Roseavv did you mean aura*?
Jazz oops,, i didn’t notice that
I'll give you the really simplified version of my lazy 4c wash and go.
1.)Wash my sectioned hair with my cleaning conditioner
2.)Use my Aunt Jackie's 'fix my hair' conditioner. (since it's my lazy day use leave in rather than masque)
3.)Coconut detangling and conditioning time
4.)Quick run through with my coil moisturizing souffle
5.)If the curls aren't still poppin then some styling gel
6.) Put that hair up in my goto scarf up do and I am good as gold
Same, my routine is really, really simple but I use raw products (shea butter, sweet almond oil, castor oil etc..) because no products I like seem to ship to Japan. 😭
Mina in Japan Do you love there, or are you apart of some program (like univedsity, teaching, etc??)?
Mina in Japan I'm a natural girl living in Japan too! but i live on base so a lot of products ship here fortunately
Mine is deep condition, become busy, forget conditioner is in hair, give up and let dry
Don't worry about it
RIP devris inches. Girl I was praying for you
i dont do wash-and-go's that often since i have 4c hair (not saying that 4c hair cant wash and go but the shrinkage KILLS me haha) but when i do i use as i am leave in conditioner
-followed by shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie
-i make sure to use my denman brush to detangle in between too
- i use eco styler as my gel and finger it through my hair:)
I feel really bad for Devri having to cut out chunks of tangled hair :(
My hair is 2C like Cristina. It's also very thick, medium/course and low porosity. I like to keep a relatively simple routine:
- At times I prepoo (that's how you call it, right?) my hair with olive oil, coconut oil or a mask (sometimes it even has protein(!), my hair is slightly damaged from dyeing it).
- Shampoo with Sheamoisture Fruit Fusion Coconut Water Weightless Shampoo or Jane Carter shampoo
- Hang upside down and slather/massage ditto conditioner (great for low porosity hair!) in and leave it while I wash my skin
- Detangle upside down (usually by adding some more condish and water) and scrunch in some more conditioner or leave-in if I have it
- Cover with microfiber towel (whichever way)
- Cover hair with Ecostyler gel (whichever, but I like the clear one best) upside down and then scrunch and later scrunch both 'sides'
- Airdry or diffuse if I'm feeling fancy
I'm Hispanic and my hair is 3b. Detangling it is a nightmare. But I assume that having kinky tight curls is MUCH worse, and I have no ideA on how bad it is to detangle. I love my hair but I really hate that right after I detangle it, I let it dry, even if I haven't messed with it or been outside, if I don't like the way it dried and I try to brush it, IT'S TANGLED.
I'm between 1 and 2a
What I do
1. Shampoo
Wash it
2.conditioner
Wash it
And yes I am obviously a white girl
i would have to get another big chop with the wavy routine lol
zeeb116 same
Devri's hair is almost exactly like mine, except I'm low porosity. The texture, thickness. The tangles😩😩. My heart was hurting for you, Sis. Oh and if I'm not mistaken, that Controlled curl cream is available on their website for free. You just pay for shipping.
I legit just wash and go😂 as in shampoo, condition and go letting it air dry😅😂
Firdaus xoxo I cqnnonly do that in the summer. UK winters leave my hair wet for the whole day/ to the next day. It get uncontrollable
Same I am 11 and do not have the time and I have frizzy baby hairs and wave/curly hair in the black and nothinggggggggggggg will keep thoughts baby hairs down
same lmao
god, I can't even use conditioner because my hair is /too/ soft already and it just weighs it down flat against my head.
This is my interview hair routine:
Step 1: Wet hair and apply a detangler and then detangle gently with a wide tooth comb starting from the ends and working my way up
Step 2: Rinse detangler out
Step 3: Part hair into sections and apply shampoo at roots, then I use my nails to scratch and massage my scalp to make sure the shampoo distributes well across my scalp
Step 4: After less than a minute of massaging I quickly rinse my hair. (I want to make sure my shampoo doesn't dry out my hair too much.)
Step 5: Make two sections and apply conditioner using the squishing technique.
Step 6: Gather and then clip hair on top of my head and then wait 5 minutes while the conditioner does its work
Step 7: Use a wide tooth comb to detangle and then rinse out the conditioner.
I really hope I win. 🙋 I need one of those towels! 😂
I hope y'all don't mind my crazy long post.
How do you convince people to do this? I would NEVA. Nope. No. No ma'am. Nyet. Never. Uhn uhn.
i would LOVE to do that. it seems really cool
Yea
glamazini your saying that but when there’s money put to the table, you can’t say no
One word MONEY
My hair care routine is stepping in the shower and using my sulfate free shampoo twice, then I use a lot conditioner and rinse out with cold water. I then use my leave in conditioner and de tangle my hair while the leave in conditioner is still in then. I use an oil to lock it in, then I use a hair pudding, then I re-rinse my hair but only spray like 5 sprays on the sections, then I get my cotton t shirt and put cold water on it to remove some of the excess product then I let it air dry.
Devri look mad as hell 7:03
Much better then the other video of this that I’ve seen!!! Both having fun and respecting each other!
I heard Evelyn's laugh in the background, omg I love her!
P.S. I'm not a creep just really enjoy her videos lol.

Thanks so much!
Zercovia White I love that conditioner!
NaturallyCurly and I loveeee these videos two
Me too
Brooo like everyone’s talking about having these super extravagant hair care routines but like all I do is use shampoo and conditioner and that’s it like every two days whaaaaaattt
some people need kinda busy hair care routines to keep their hair just looking low maintenance. i used to only use shampoo until i realized how much nicer my hair looked with masks, conditioner and mousse.
My hair routine:
1 shampoo hair
2 condition and detangle
3 use 6 different leave in products
4 but hair in mini braids
5 put hair in sleep cap cuz I'm broke and can't afford a silk pillowcase
6 wake up and cry
7 put hair in sad bun
I love how dense devri's hair is. It practically made a red hazy outline of her hair. I am in love.

my wash and go routine for low porosity 3c/4a hair
1- Wash with Giovanni's Smooth as Silk clarifying shampoo/deeper moisture conditoner.
2- Deep condition with shea Moisture's Manuka and Mafura Oil Deep conditioner
3- Spray hair with some Aloe vera juice
4- Apply Kinky Curly Knot Today
5-Apply Shea Moisture's Curl Enhancing smoothie followed by an oil to seal in moisture
This routine could seem excessive, but it works to give me defined curls!
i got the whitest caucasian-est hair imaginable.
Laura 😂
“Dryer than my bank account” 😂😂😂😂
Have you tried a serum for the flyaways?
Patrice yeah, it makes my hair super greasy super quickly tho :,(
Laura 😂😅🤣
I think I like this hair routine switch video better than the other one. it got the point across a lot more!
Sarah Mini I take a shower with my glasses on because I'm blind without them 😂
Sarah Mini as a person with permanent glasses...I 100 percent agree on the glasses parts😭
Faith moa I use the same shampoo for my hair and its 3a/b, I love it! It helps with hair growth too.
Faith Vaea I use the Cantu for natural hair too & the Shea moisture Jamaican castor oil leave in. I only use an oil for the can't but the JBCO I only use that & leave(I do have to use a little since I am protein sensitive)...
I love Christina's hair!
i love how christina felt for devri throughout the video like sooo sweet
My hair care routine:
Dee Michele what products for that LCO girl?
Indian Love I use mielle organics

I really enjoy watching swapped hair care routines. Devri is so pretty. Love her hair!!
I wash my hair once per week and in the middle of the week I co-wash.
After I wash my hair I apply deep conditioner and sit under the steamer. Afterwards it's just the usual leave-in conditioner, styling cream and sealing it in with oil.
DEVRI'S HAIR LOOKS SO FLUFFY, AND I LOVE IT
My hair care routine is pretty similar to most others. shampoo, condition. Flip head upside down and wash conditioner out, then detangle and put in a leave in. Final step is scrunching in some gel, scrunching out excess water with t-shirt and then air dry. Basically I do a lot of scrunching in each step. lol
Kelsey K. Pretty similar to others? That’s pretty similar to type 2 hair and type 2 hair only. Usually type 3 and 4 need more mouisture
I just big chopped! So I'm trying to get my new routine going, lord knows I need help. Now that it's so short it is easier, I can't lie.
Step one- detangle before adding any product with a paddle brush.
Step two- Shampoo hair with Shea Moisture Castor oil shampoo line
Step three- Condition hair with Suave Coconut oil conditioner (best thing EVER!)
Step four- Use hair mask, Im currently using the oil olive one. And massage scalp with coconut oil and add some to the strands. Apply TWO shower caps & a towel to trap that heat gurrrl!
Step five-rinse out & go !
Niome Star I did mines July 4th
vivi_ etc Congrats! How much did you cut?
Devri looks like such a nice person I love how calm she is
For devri, using thick curling products that’ll add moisture, any kind of oil but my favorites (castor, coconut, and peppermint oil) is amazing and light alcohol free gel helps so much.
Devri is so gorgeous!!!
Finally someone with wavy hair 💃 lol
I have locs so my life is complete. I wash with either VO5 or creme of nature sulfate free moisture shampoo. Then condition with either VO5 or CON conditioner. If my hair is feeling dry I add oil to the VO5 and leave on for like 20 minutes (I have very low porosity hair). Then I rinse. Do the LOC method. Liquid leave in. Coconut oil. Went Biologics heavy cream on special occasions. Dollar Tree creamy leave in conditioner on the regular.
still learning to love my curls working on my routine now have a no poo and leave in conditioner
1. wash hair(twice)
2. condition then sit under dryer for 10 minutes
3. rinse conditioner
4. Run Taliah Waajid natural hair cream through hair
5. Run Maui deep conditioner through
6. Comb hair
7. Go crazy with coconut oil
8. then black castor oil with lime and peppermint oil
9. massage scalp
10. now put in softee hair growth oil.
11. Put in Elasta Qp for curls
12. spray Carol's Anti frizzing leave in condtioner
13. now either leave hair wet to dry on the go or a go under the dryer for 20 minutes
Being natural is actually alot of work but its fun to create new styles

What I do is wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner then scrunch. I can never find the right curl creams and stuff for me. So I would be very exited if could try your stuff. You guys are awesome keep up the good work.
My routine is pretty involved since I have long, thick, tangle-prone curls but I only do it about every week or so.
Everything done in sections : )
1) Pre-Poo/detangle
2) Shampoo
3) Deep condition
4) Apply leave in, seal, apply my gel and either twist or style in a wash and go
ok lol so i have 4a-4c coarse low porosity high density hair. with my wash and go i'll first wash out the protein treatment or deep conditioner i put in the night before with 16 twist in ny hair, depends on the week. i protein treat with a mayo and olive oil mask. i deep condition with the eden body works coconut and monoi all natural deep conditioner. shampoo (only on scalp)with the ogx weightless coconut water weightless shampoo then i condition with the ogx coconut curls conditioner with the twist still in my hair. i put on my shower cap while i u know, scrub my body😂. while washing out the conditioner i take down the twist and detangle with my wide tooth comb. while my hair is still under water i part it in 4 sections, 2 on each side. when i get out of the shower i immediately take down 1 part and apply shea moisture jamaican black castor oil leave in conditioner. i then apply the Shea moisture coconut and hibiscus curl enhancing smoothie. i put in the Shea moisture coconut and hibiscus curling gel souffle and brush it in with my denman brush. i do the same to the other sections. once I'm done with every section i finish with spraying the Shea moisture raw shea butter reconstructive finishing elixir. i flip my head upside down and diffuse for a good 30 seconds. that's a lot longer than i expected…
So you have wavy hair
I Shampoo with the Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Condition with the Aussie Moist then rinse off with cold water, wrap my hair with a microfiber towel, put in lots of leave in conditioner, then something to hold my curls mousse or gel and while I'm styling it I'm always scrunching just so the curls get very nice and defined, then I just defuse it. Pretty simple hair routine takes me atlas 40 min to do.
I'm still perfecting my.wash and go. It looks really defined when I'm.done but then it comes to drying :/ so twistouts are my go-to
Devri is so cute oml 😍😍
me and the black girl has the same hair type im so happy!!
Sofia Cavalcante Her name is Devri and Christina (the wavy girl) says it several times in the video.
Norree C oh, i think i missed that, thank you a lot
They began the video with their names, we put their instagram handle on screen, and it was listed in the video description box.
Devri was having such a hard time😂 While the other girl was just doing everything so easily💀
Found this Chanel a few months ago and I have been in love ever since.
1. Cleanse ( I either use Calia naturals purifying shampoo for dry hair or the deva curl no-poo original)
2. Condition and detangle ( I either use the Calia naturals purifying conditioner for dry hair or the deva curl one conditioner original and I just use my Woden brush from urban spa to detangle)
3. Style- I use a pea size amount of the deva curl coconut curl styler and finger comb it through, than I do the same thing but with the deva curl touchable curl definer
4. Scrunch- and finally I flipped over my head and scrunch in the deva curl light defining gel
5. Go
And that's my wash and go routine, also I'm about a 3A-3B curl type
i use cantu and this yellow gel. cantu is good for the moisture and the gel if for making it untangled and helping it hold its shape
Devri sounds like BEYONCÉ... love it 😍
La Diabla i can kinda hear it but not really in my opinion
I would never swap routines with anyone, not because I don't want my hair to suffer, but because I don't have a wash-n-go routine and they'd wind up losing hair like Devri.
Why are people using so many products? Is that normal? Is there anything wrong with me for using only shampoo and conditioner (and a pea sized amount of coconut oil sometimes). Im so happy I am lazy...
Curls need a lot more. The more curly and coily your hair the more you need. Pea sized coconut oil is ridiculous to me I need a palm full.
Michelle Johnson Thank you for not being ignorant.
Miriam Musanovoa girl, you need to moisturize
I use only shampoo, conditioner makes my hair too greasy even with the smallest amount. My hair is 30 inches long, very thick, and extremely curly. Sometimes I use a heat protectant when I straighten it. All of these products just seem useless, for caucasian hair at least, I can't speak on other types of hair :)
When you have curly you need product lol
my routine is very simple I wash and apply before coconut oil to my roots, face, and bottom ends of my hair leave it in a towel and then wash it out after two hours with shampoo 2 times.
So cool for people to learn about each other. Greater understanding 😊

My hair routine normally consist of shampooing, followed by conditioner, then I detangle, apply my deep conditioner, rinse, get out and twist! Then air dry. Wash and gos are a no for me! I hope Devri salvaged her hair poor girl lol
"I haven't seen my scalp in weeks" Ooh girl I felt that in my soul
