Hera I played with a few times by pure chance in the Voobly days. Love seeing creators still pushing aoe2 along as its a pure classic. I used to be around 1900 on Voobly but havn't played in years. Need to get back into it.

You could start with 10k stone with the stipulation that you sell it all immediately in feudal. This would leave you with a lower amount of gold to experiment with.

You really should consider deathmatch when doing this kinds stuff, because people just can run away with vills and are never fully defeted till you litterly wipe the map
Yep, villager production is the most important thing in the game. So when he says "booming" he means dropping 3+ town centers so that his vill production is way faster. That gets his eco up really quickly which he can then transition into military

did anybody try 2 douche + 2 boom against Hera so far? i feel, he won't be able to do just anything while fighting against mass early rushes except if he will start somewhere at the castle age. FYI, some years ago it even worked for me and friends (complete rookies) in starcraft team ladder games up to diamond league (2 terran + 2 protoss pick)

How come when pro players stream, all their deer are straight line clear path from their tc and when I play, they are ridiculously hidden behind trees and gold.

Massed crossbows, castles, and Mangudai can do. But you got to mass them so much before you can kill a couple cars
