I take that her message here is: the best ‘revenge’ from a bad relationship is just to let go and party. That ubiquitous boombox prop evoked her early years in NYC-it was her companion everywhere she goes-in her apt, listening to her fave music, when she practices her dance moves, befriends the neighborhood young boys by inviting them to sing/dance with her in the apt building rooftop and open spaces for protection after her apt kept being broken into and robbed. She and her dancers was really having fun here doing all sorts of pop dance genre at that time. Them pulling in all sorts of men off the streets and challenging them to show what they can do in dance form is hilarious. In her choreo she incorporated some martial arts moves-I guess her way of saying: if you want to get physical with me, I can handle that too! -Lol! Great, fun reaction from you. ❤😊

Great sequel to the Hung Up video. Pretty fun video and she looks just flawless. This (if I’m not mistaken) was the first video directed by her long time choreographer Jamie King. There was also a making-the-video aired on MTV and the van appeared on the video was featured on Pimp My Ride. Great memories of 2006! Thank you ladies.

I am pretty sure that the inspiration for the lyrics in this track and other tracks from this album comes from her relationship with second husband Guy Ritchie which occurred 2000 - 2008. Confessions, recorded in 2005, is one my favorite albums of Madonna's and often gets me through my drive commute to and from work! 😉

I don’t know if anyone mentioned it here or on “Hung Up,” but these videos were made right after Madonna was thrown from a horse and broke some bones and ribs. You can see in both videos where she’s walking around and has one hand in her pocket, and that was so she didn’t aggravate her shoulder since it was so hurt. But then of course since she’s Madonna she somehow has an incredible and insane DANCE OFF in both videos even though she’s still injured😮😂. Her X-rays end up as backdrops in the Confessions tour. Amazing.

Years ago, a big group of us went to a "gay night" at a rollerskating place. At one point, someone came up and said "I think your boyfriend hurt himself" Me laughing: "my boyfriend is a hypochondriac" [a shamefully flippant statement but still true] Cut to us spending rest of the night in ER with a very stubborn dislocated shoulder that took HOURS to painfully pop back in place! He did at least laugh when I eventually told him my initial response. Said the worst part was going to work in a sling (he was a school principal) and everyone finding out their usually quite dignified and serious leader had been out rollerskating 😂😂

I don’t know if anyone mentioned it here or on “Hung Up,” but these videos were made right after Madonna was thrown from a horse and broke some bones and ribs. You can see in both videos where she’s walking around and has one hand in her pocket, and that was so she didn’t aggravate her shoulder since it was so hurt. But then of course since she’s Madonna she somehow has an incredible and insane DANCE OFF in both videos even though she’s still injured😮😂. Her X-rays end up as backdrops in the Confessions tour. Amazing.

Me laughing: "my boyfriend is a hypochondriac" [a shamefully flippant statement but still true]
Cut to us spending rest of the night in ER with a very stubborn dislocated shoulder that took HOURS to painfully pop back in place!
He did at least laugh when I eventually told him my initial response. Said the worst part was going to work in a sling (he was a school principal) and everyone finding out their usually quite dignified and serious leader had been out rollerskating 😂😂
