KlickingKay ASMR I just got mine straightened for the first time since July on Saturday. I’m lucky that my hair grows even if I don’t take the best care of it. It was below tailbone length and I removed the super dry ends (first real trim since November 2018) and now it’s exactly at tailbone length. I will try to take better care of my hair tho. I used to straighten it every 1-2 weeks.

Sometimes, there are split ends that have to be cut that will damage the growth provinces process..then, you have scissor happy stylists... ✂ ✂ Went from Rapinzil to Amber Rose in 15 mins!👀👁👁
Yeah, sometimes there are damaged ends that should be trimmed but a stylist should tell the client before going to town and cutting off too much. I quit going to salons a few years ago. Way too many bad haircuts. I keep getting told women my age shouldn’t have long hair. Don’t care. My long hair makes me happy.

Wow I never realized how much effort black women have to put into their hair. My wife just washes hers with shampoo and conditioner dries it then combs it and its straight. Its really facinating, very pretty lady and great hair :)

I love the way you trim hair. When I go to saloons and ask for a trim they usually cut off a whole bunch of hair which I didn't ask for. I like my hair long and I usually grow it out for a few years and donate to a charity but getting my hair trimmed just sets that back a while.

By doing what works for your hair. As long as it's a low manipulation style: braids, twists, buns, wash n go's, etc. And you'll have to do it for a long time. Also by keeping your hair moisturised. And detangling properly.
