Nice video, thanks. By the way it, as it was developed in Hawaii, we pronounce it “OOk” not “youk”. Oo-koo-leh-leh. Uku is head lice, or a flea. Lele means jumping. Because to the locals who heard the mandolin of the Vaqueroes who came to teach them how to ride the newly gifted horses, the sound reminded the of fleas jumping around.
I asked my brothers friend if he knew how to play thunder struck (he never played the Ike that much) he said idk I’ll try and whipped it out 😂 I had to learn it! Thanks fir the tutorial!

All can do a mistake
Well, string me up and call me uke, this is awesome!
:)
I found out that i could just use a capo on the second fret to keep it in B major so i can play it like you do and still retain the original sound
Brilliant video thanks for sharing
Thank you so much for doing the notation 😀 I've printed it off and hope to play it as fluidly as you after much practice 🎸👍

does anyone know where to get the actual music for this version? I can't keep up with how fast he's going
Celeste M. I could write it out, there is no actual music as I did it by ear.
that would actually be super helpful, this is the best tutorial I've found and I learn better when I see the numbers of the frets
