Greg Inglis was a beast and, as a viewer, used to think what he was going to create, but as a Queensland supporter he was a must have and always felt confident when he had the ball in his hands.
Inglis should be in the all time Australian team alongside Slater. I would put Inglis on one wing (the position he started in) and Ken Irvine on the other, with Gasnier and Rogers in the centes, Slater at fullback and Fulton and Thurston in the halves. Seven backs with extreme x-factor, try defending that!
Jarryd Hayne should be there instead of Slater. Put him with Inglis and Andrew Ettingshausen. Imagine what Hayne would have done playing for Melbourne ..... the only player Qld were afraid of, and won origin games on his own vs the Qld with all those players you mention in it. Johns and Sterling were both better players than Thurston, they were awesome defenders. Thurston was a weak link. Laurie Daley also rates as a better player than Thurston, based on defence. As does Wally Lewis. As does Fittler. Defence wins Origin games they say. Defence wins premierships they say.. If defence is worth anything in Rugby League, and most seem to think it is, Thurston isn't even in the conversation with Johns or Sterling to be the halfback.
@@bornyesterday1895 Thurston was the most dangerous player I ever saw in carrying the ball - with his acceleration, dummy, ability to pass short or long, ability to kick short, long or grubber while being tackled.
@@connorduke4619 the Cowboys had the best front rower in the comp, Matt Scott, plus Paul Bowman, Matt Bowen, Matt Sing........ Didn't Paul Bowman play for Qld? Thurston wins nothing without Matt Scott.
G.I and JT all time favs and younger me loved Bowen and Scott Prince. Hated both of them cause of those GI tries against bronx in '08 preliminary's and '13 and hated JT since 2015. Both true GOATS!

Greg Inglis a freak and some might say an immortal of the game, he made the game look to easy,
I agree with Joey.Owen Graigie was one of the most gifted footballers I've ever seen.Brilliant player.
Bloody oath. Was a wasted talent.
Good seeing GI part of the team
All of them were champions

@@connorduke4619 the most dangerous thing about Thurston was that 2 guys had to cover Inglis outside him.

Johns had Buderus in his team, Sterling had Kenny.

Hammer is the inglis, scoring whenever he touches the ball

Matty bowen was the best, the hammer is Billy slater, Greg Inglis and Matt Bowen all put together
So awkward seeing Inglis next to Johns lol
It would have been funny if Andrew Johns said Timana Tahu was the best he'd played with
Haha @@jagobbin2
What about JT!
Greg Inglis voice doesn't match his look
What do you mean?
@@williambaglme819 he's voice is so nasally and light
Some great players there. Now let'stalk about the greatest white players of all time so its fair
GI is better than Latrell Mitchell. Latrell could have been equal, but is lazy, and lacks discipline.
