Saw one of these originally on Intheblues and it looked and sounded great. Definitely going to keep the old peepers peeled for these in the future. The red is gorgeous too!
God how much this guitar screams!! I love the high end!! But let’s just say I never watch a video for the gear!! That’s just a bonus!! I come for the playing and the divine tones that summon the gods and titans to this realm!!
I own one, it’s an awesome tone and sustain machine, it’s really stratty - not too bright (I just roll the tone down a notch) and very reliable, a tone bleed will be a future mod. The only thing I’d like is slightly bigger frets.
Love the clean playing section, dirty playing at the beginning is instant Satriani: Absolutely love it. Nice sounding guitar, I like the top end in the tone. Shame they don't offer a left handed variant
Hey Rabea...I get it if you don't ...oh man, I was typing while listening to the beginning of this video, and was going to ask about Vola Guitars, and was going to say that I've seen Joss Allen playing them, and now I see you are covering them in one of your videos...and then less than a minute in you mention him...going to watch to see what you have to say...thanks in advance for the video, and hope you and yours are doing good.
That guitar needs a 473k resistor from both hot wires of the single coils to ground. Its amazing how few companies understand how to wire an HSS guitar properly.
Sometimes when I do a quick master for a video, it does the same trying to bring just the guitar up to loudness. That combined with the treble content will give a ton of fuzz I think.
IV'E been digging there t style 7 string w/swamp ash body - 24 frets - trem - made in Japan - they do have a bright cutting sound to them which is not a bad thing - eq accordingly at amp or pedals
Don't know how they have wired those pickups but sounds like they have put a 500k pot for volume for the bridge and it's made the neck and middle bright. Might be wrong 🤷♂️ Awesome demo dude!
Nice. If you like the strat vibe but don't want to be just another guy playing a Fender, it seems like this would fit the bill. Its nice to have something a little bit different from time to time.
I’m having such a hard time choosing a guitar lol I have to buy online…. I really don’t want to get screwed over with a crappy guitar I neee one that does clean and metal with a thin neck like fender would you be able to recommend one to me please? Thanks so much!! 😅
The tones were interesting but I just have a hard time imagining when I would want to use this guitar vs a strat OR a more modern guitar. What is the real applicability?
I guess some people prefer variants of the classic selection? Like people play suhr, or Tom Anderson, exotic, Chapman etc etc there are sooo many variants of basically the original dozen or so guitar designs. The Vola stuff I think took a bigger step with the shapes of their guitars. In essence it’s the same vibe as a lot of other stuff, so it’s down to if you prefer the design and vibe, and supporting a smaller brand etc.
@@valebliz yeah that’s a prime example! Some people love modern specs on a classic looking guitar etc. So other brands provide that, then if the shape isn’t doing it for you either, other brands provide that too hahah
@@valebliz that’s fair! Though I’m getting my strat re-fretted and that puts an American strat roughly in the price range of this guitar after updates ($1900-ish). Plus you retain resale.
@@RabeaMassaad oh for sure. The body is definitely distinct. I guess more of what I meant is in what context or genre are these tones better/more applicable than a strat or a more modern guitar (which is all subjective of course - so my comment is pointless). The barkiness/brightness is just a little bit odd to my ears.
I've never owned a Fender Strat that I haven't had to replace the pickups to my personal preference. Accepting that, for $1100 US, how does this guitar compare to the baseline Fender Strat. Was the fit and finish equal to an Elite, Professional, Player, MIM. Basically is it worth $1100 knowing you're going to have to replace the pickups? Thanks and I always appreciate your videos.
It's got an Andy Timmons vibe to it.... Or maybe Rabea was in a Timmons vibe... Or maybe, Rabea just has so much musical experience, he knows what to do with an S-shaped guitar🙂
Gloss finish all day long, can't stand the matte finishes!!! Also, I've always called that line on the neck as a "skunk stripe", probably American, but suites. Does sound good though.
those pickups...the shape... the reverse headstock....that BODY! my god, I'd never need another person in my life.
it missed stainless steel frets...

I took a break from UA-cam! This is the first place my heart bought me to hear this man Jam
I’ve got an Oz 7 and as far as build quality goes I don’t think it can get much better. Great guitars.

I was not blown away by these until recently! After seeing this demo along with one from R.J Ronquillo these guitars now have my attention!
Always an awesome player. And that’s a very nice Vola
Vola makes awesome guitars!! 🤘🏻
Those bright pick up sound great with high gain

That's the guitar for Kezyah Jones !
A bit too much reverb in general, no ?! ^^ Thank you Rabea always a pleasure listening to you
I would buy 50 of those guitars if they made me sound like you Dude!!!! Hellova Demo! LOVED IT!!!!
those pickups sound amazing.
Someone looking to career in guitar music might consider that as a signature guitar. Whoa, those Totemist 2880 tracks sound badass.
Right up my alley....sounds like ceramic magnets all round... and 500k pots !!!
Too bright?... that's what that Tone control is for ;-)
It takes a single extra resistor to do the electronics the right way where the pickups are balanced with a 500k pot.
nice review with real info
Nice Guitar!

Lots of high end treble bite throughout, not my thing really but a nice guitar none the less. Thanks for the honest review Rabea.

Listening through decent headphones and I'm hearing so much fizz when you dig in. Not sure if that is the guitar or the signal chain.

The guitar? Meh. The playing? AWESOME.
rabea could make a broom sound awesome 💪🏼
Nice, will you do the OZ RV 24 ? its the dual humbucker one.
Dudeeee that rif at 13:15 with the octave pedal was sickkkk!!!!! what is that? is this for a new song or an existing one?
It's DHW, off 2880, by The Totemist, his latest project.

@@LuxTheSlav Thanks i Appreciated!
Sounded better with high gain than crunch tone to my humble ears
definitely a unique shape
voila! c'est la vola
I've never heard a guitar more in need of some lower value pots. Maybe 250k would be too dark, but currently it's earbleed inducing.

Really eyeing the 7 string version of that guitar hahaha

The simple fact fender doesn’t really offer SS frets makes me avoid them in favor of similar alternatives equipped differently. There you go.

I just wish I could afford one, that's just me, my guitar, my tone, myself.
If Fender and Ibanez had a kid this would be it.
Just a random question. Approximately how much would these people pay the musicians to check their guitars?
Hey homie thinking of reviewing the BOSS IR-200?
I have zero interest in this guitar, I just came to here Rabea play strat stuff. Not disappointed.
They should make guitars with full sz Jumbo as well
Man I love Japanese guitars
Very well-rounded sound. I would totally be down to own one of these.

Can we pls have the larada video
But I forgot to say that guitar is beautiful!!

Pity they not put the volume U down a little further. Like Strats the volume write in the way. Then U need to movie it
stainless steel frets?
no, i think are nickel frets
It's obviously called the ounce shape.
My Tagima sounds just as good or better!🎸👍
Avoiding words like nasal and tinny..
