It's so hilariously sad how many people take this so serious. It's pretty easy to tell it's a joke and not meant to be a serious remake. Seems like people only realize satire in songs when it's done by Weird Al.
I love how they change the tone of the song and suddenly it becomes satire. Great cover, because it is different, and works for this band. I love this song.
I know seeing some these comments it’s sad people who weren’t around in the 90s missed the best alternative rock and rock period this song was on the radio every hour! Huge
My mom introduced me to this song. I sang this out loud in high school, and some kid said ‘🤨 that’s not how tf it goes’ 😅 I was so confused, I didn’t realize until years later how different the original is and how weird I must have seemed to that 1 kid lol
The video matchs the song perfectly. A bunch of white kids singing gangsta rap? How could they not play them off as rich and playing golf and sweater vests.
It clashes with with EVERYTHING else in the video, but that it starts that way, is it's own homage to the original and letting the viewer in own the satire and expectations from the first bit, then comes back to it later.
This is the shittiest remake ever if u think this is better than the original then ur literally a bum this is just shitty trash boyz n tha hood is a top ten rap song of all time but this is garbage
Son this has been out long before the straight outta Compton movie came out, you probably stumbled across this after seeing the movie yourself and having a renewed interest in N.W.A you went to see what you could find. Having found this hilarious interpretation of the song to go against something your in pysche, you got upset with circumstances beyond your control and made a racist generalization
I absolutely laughed my ass off listening to this shit! This is a brilliant comedic cover; it obviously isn't meant to be taken seriously. I can't believe people actually think that it is...
It's called "Satire" it's a form of humor and yes a Caucasian aka a white person can do it as well.... They are just making fun of differences in black and white culture. Not too mention a pretty damn good song original and cover....
Woke up quick at about noon Just thought that I had to be in Compton soon I gotta get drunk before the day begins Before my mother starts bitchin' about my friends About to go and damn near went blind Young niggas on the pad throwin' up gang signs I went in the house to get the clip With my Mac10 on the side of my hip I bailed outside and I pointed my weapon Just as I thought, the fools kept steppin I jumped in the fo' hit the juice on my ride I got front and back side to side Then I let the alpine play I was pumpin' new shit by NWA It was "Gangster Gangster" at the top of the list Then I played my own shit, it went somethin' like this: Cruisin' down the street in my 6-fo' Jockin' the bitches, slappin' the ho's I went to the park to get the scoop Knuckle-heads out there cold shootin' some hoop A car pulls up, who can it be? Bored as hell and I wanna get ill So I go to a place where my homeboyz chill The fellas out there try to make that dollar I pulled up in the 6-4 impala Greeted with a 40 and I start drinkin' And from the 8-ball my breath start stinkin' I gotta get my girl to rock that body Before I left I hit the bacardi Pulled to the house get her out of the pad And the bitch said something to make me mad She said somethin' that I couldn't believe So I grabbed the stupid bitch by her nappy ass weave She started talkin' shit, would'nt you know? Punk ass trippin IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT Homies scored a key, he's gonna fly, punk ass fly
Unpopular opinion: agreed. The original doesn't have natural/ rhythmic flow, which is requisite for top tier rap. Not saying it isn't a classic, just it sounds... forced.. frontin' even if it's 100% legit. Probably just nervous given the circumstances and time
It was choppy and unnatural. More takes or revisiting it would have likely definently improved it's quality but that wasn't in the cards, they were lucky to get that done in the first place. However, there is a bit, some background synth riff that really hits. Simple but effective
Mandela effect, it used to say, “punk ass tripping in the dead of night” at the end before it said “punk ass tripping but it’s alright.” Then it said, “homies scored a key, he’s gonna fly punkass fly.” I know this for a fact. Can’t tell me any other way.
All these years later, still the best remake ever.
Jessica Cruz you are correct top five remake ever!
It's really trash.
I'm here 8 years after you. Still agree.
Senior class trip to Myrtle Beach 2000, this was playing 24/7
Greetings from 2023, I learned to play this back in my high school days....
Lord I'm old..

It's so hilariously sad how many people take this so serious. It's pretty easy to tell it's a joke and not meant to be a serious remake. Seems like people only realize satire in songs when it's done by Weird Al.
well the song is an actual cover and I like it but the video is satire for sure
We are in the era of 'Karens and Cancel Culture'...Hilarious!!!
the original by ez e
ua-cam.com/video/PIU07K_28ck/v-deo.html
The Karen meme is a psyop to demonize white people who are being vocal about the country their ancestors built going to sh!t before their eyes.
It’s satire but I love it so much. Better than the og as much as I hate to say it 😂😂😂
who else died of laughter when they waved at the cop?
"Officer Johnny!" - Ryan Reynolds as "Guy"- Free Guy
I seem to remember a verse where he had to ditch the Impala. Or am I punk-azz trippin?
I'm amazed how many people don't seem to get the joke, this is the most unsubtle use of contrast in all of song-cover history.
Joke's on you.
Smash mouth.
I really love mellow remakes of rap songs like this
If you haven't heard of it listen to Ben folds - bitches aint shit
@@KyleCostin-yv2bx I love the style too. u got any more songs or playlists?
I'm trying to make a cover band where we play songs in this style.
Hows that going?@@ohmbettafish323
There's a good cover of gin and juice
Greatest cover of all time.
Second only to Smashing Pumpkins cover of themselves (Disarm).
Absolute masterpiece.
They play this song at my country club always
Anyone else here because they watched Boss Baby? Lol, soon as I watched it with my son, I instantly needed to hear this!
Both versions are good. This one just cracks me up with its whiteness
ikr lol i love it!
I know right
Cisco Martinez polar opposites
XD
Yeah bra I kno right bra...
I love how they change the tone of the song and suddenly it becomes satire. Great cover, because it is different, and works for this band. I love this song.
It’s satirical from the beginning
None of the song is satire.
Alanis did the same thing when she covered My Humps. She sang the exact same song just in another tone.
love those hummer golf carts. amazing.
I can't even explain how much EVERYONE loved this song, at the time!!! 💯😎
I know seeing some these comments it’s sad people who weren’t around in the 90s missed the best alternative rock and rock period this song was on the radio every hour! Huge
@@UnwrittenSpadeQuite possibly the best cover song of all time. 😎💯
Never forget
These young chaps are quite gangster if I do say so myself.
Hm, Twould agree. One might say they are ill as all get out.
Indeed
My mom introduced me to this song. I sang this out loud in high school, and some kid said ‘🤨 that’s not how tf it goes’ 😅 I was so confused, I didn’t realize until years later how different the original is and how weird I must have seemed to that 1 kid lol
song and video are HILARIOUS. one of my favorite covers of all time. i love people who dont necessarily feel the need to take shit so seriously.
Don't quote me, boy, I ain't sed schi.....
SO I SPENT MONTHS LOOKING FOR THIS SONG AFTER I HEARD IT ON THE RADIO AND I AM NOW SO HAPPY
lol i got it on the first try
GREATEST REMAKE OF ALL TIME. HANDS DOWN.
How much this meant to kids when it came out can't be described. Everyone at my high school already knew the original song word for word.
Still my go to karaoke song.
This is how I live my life
Like high ball and low par life?
Or acoustic guitars, while strapped with a semi auto gat, carrying a 9 iron, prepared to give a fool a handicap?
Absolutely Brilliantly Funny. Grew up with N.W.A. And this is a perfect parody thanks Dave and Chuck the freak for mentioning this on today’s program.
The video matchs the song perfectly. A bunch of white kids singing gangsta rap? How could they not play them off as rich and playing golf and sweater vests.
They symbolism of these guys doing this song with this video is awesome.
Even as a satirical joke (risky af to do) it's still politically poignant that white (privilege) collar crime actually does fit pretty well with it.
I'll say it again, .... BEAUTIFUL SONG.. That is all.
This song takes me back.
I love the Rolls Royce up on blocks. OMG that's too funny.
It clashes with with EVERYTHING else in the video, but that it starts that way, is it's own homage to the original and letting the viewer in own the satire and expectations from the first bit, then comes back to it later.
I heard this before the original, and I just LOVE this one so much more!
101ultimategaming Agreed. Best version.
This is the shittiest remake ever if u think this is better than the original then ur literally a bum this is just shitty trash boyz n tha hood is a top ten rap song of all time but this is garbage

I love both the original and this one.
This is horrible

that's okay, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. i love this version because I find it pretty funny
+Octavia Hightower I love your name!! and your intelligent response to the previous comment lol
+Octavia Hightower haha I agree it's funny but at the same time it does sound good.....I like both versions too
this is my new favorite song.
I just watched this like 5 times in a row. lmao, too funny
When white people watch straight outta Compton

+Tyler Paplaczyk Word.
Tyler Paplaczyk Exactly!!! I think this came out late 90's early 2000...Kids will be Kids...
perfect video, perfect song
how come they never did anymore... I love this to the top
A shame this band isn't that popular.
Heard this on a mainstream pop radio station and fucking died.
These white boyz paved the way for candy shop band in the hangover 😅
I remember when this came out. Thanks Carson
Eazy E would be proud...
hahahahahahahhaha

@@Mightymikeydr Easy loved anything's that was different. He would have embraced this song.
I sang this to a black guy here in town and he laughed so damn hard. He said “I love ya Couz’!” It was quite funny.
THEN I LET THE ALPINE PLAAAAY!!

Badass version from long ago
omfg here in quarantine, jammin to this in 2020
I absolutely laughed my ass off listening to this shit! This is a brilliant comedic cover; it obviously isn't meant to be taken seriously. I can't believe people actually think that it is...
this is more gangster than the original and the original is pretty fuckin ganster
Lmaoooo satire on point
It's called "Satire" it's a form of humor and yes a Caucasian aka a white person can do it as well.... They are just making fun of differences in black and white culture. Not too mention a pretty damn good song original and cover....
yes it's a parody... it's also been out close to 20 years. chill out guys
Blackbird by the beatles there at the end haha.
this is fucking amazing
Excellent.
Why do I still like this song?
This is genius
1st saw the band and video on Farm Club after Monday Night Raw back in high school.
Woke up quick at about noon
Just thought that I had to be in Compton soon
I gotta get drunk before the day begins
Before my mother starts bitchin' about my friends
About to go and damn near went blind
Young niggas on the pad throwin' up gang signs
I went in the house to get the clip
With my Mac10 on the side of my hip
I bailed outside and I pointed my weapon
Just as I thought, the fools kept steppin
I jumped in the fo' hit the juice on my ride
I got front and back side to side
Then I let the alpine play
I was pumpin' new shit by NWA
It was "Gangster Gangster" at the top of the list
Then I played my own shit, it went somethin' like this:
Cruisin' down the street in my 6-fo'
Jockin' the bitches, slappin' the ho's
I went to the park to get the scoop
Knuckle-heads out there cold shootin' some hoop
A car pulls up, who can it be?
The fresh El Camino rollin Kilo G
He rolls down the window and he starts to say
It's all about makin' that G.T.A
Cuz the boyz in the hood are alwayz hard
Come talkin' that trash and we'll pull your card
Knowin' nothin' in life but to be legit
Don't quote me boy, I ain't said shit ...
Bored as hell and I wanna get ill
So I go to a place where my homeboyz chill
The fellas out there try to make that dollar
I pulled up in the 6-4 impala
Greeted with a 40 and I start drinkin'
And from the 8-ball my breath start stinkin'
I gotta get my girl to rock that body
Before I left I hit the bacardi
Pulled to the house get her out of the pad
And the bitch said something to make me mad
She said somethin' that I couldn't believe
So I grabbed the stupid bitch by her nappy ass weave
She started talkin' shit, would'nt you know?
I reached back like a pimp and I slapped the ho'
And her father stood up and he started to shout
So I threw a right-cross and knocked his old ass out
Cuz the boyz in the hood are alwayz hard
Come talkin' that trash and we'll pull your card
Knowin' nothin' in life but to be legit'
Don't quote me boy, I ain't said shit ...
Punk ass trippin IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT
Homies scored a key, he's gonna fly, punk ass fly
I actually like this a lot.
Old song just like Eazy's and both are awesome
I actually like this version better, the original just sounds so forced, this one feels like it doesn't have to try too hard to be badass.
Unpopular opinion: agreed.
The original doesn't have natural/ rhythmic flow, which is requisite for top tier rap. Not saying it isn't a classic, just it sounds... forced.. frontin' even if it's 100% legit. Probably just nervous given the circumstances and time

if u have a love for music you would respect and like this
White Boys playing an acoustic cover of E...and you people think they are serious! MAN! I guess satires are dead.

Awesome
They do any other songs besides this?
gotta love all the N.W.A refrances.....lawl
Mandela effect, it used to say, “punk ass tripping in the dead of night” at the end before it said “punk ass tripping but it’s alright.” Then it said, “homies scored a key, he’s gonna fly punkass fly.”
I know this for a fact. Can’t tell me any other way.
Is this windowed video with a max resolution of 480p, really "The Official HD Video straight from the Band"?
