25 years ago I had a 1980 Gibson LP Custom Silverburst (I know) I had re-done as a JS replica, the luthier knew someone who knew John, and told him it was being made. I then got this Edwards which I preferred and sold the Gibson - I've still got the Edwards.
@@blakespurlock5322 I loved that it had an ebony board. Most Japan LP brands put rosewood. The weight was fairly similar to a Gibson. Overall it nailed the LP Custom look 😊
Yeah, this can be tricky. We got ours from an online platform that allows you to purchase stuff from China. It'll surely be available there. Apart from the size, the hue/shade varies. Hope you get the right one for your guitar 👍
@@soundforge8096 yes I been looking also not easy to find I found it in another part of Canada he was willing to ship it to me got it for 750 usd...ebay they are going 1200 usd...and I won't need to pay duty.. cheers
@@Dennisbluschke also the factories that do the mill work for Edwards/ESP/Grassroots were built by ESP so the quality control was as tight as possible. Folks just love to hate on stuff they know nothing about. Edwards are fantastic. Ordering an older one of these this weekend.

Yeah, Edwards are great value guitars. 👍
What did you like more about the Edwards? Tone? Weight?

I had a Les Paul custom many years ago, should never trade it.
Maganda! I want one. Greetings from Sweden.
Thanks! Ahhh Sweden, one country in our travel wishlist :)
Hello, if you don't mind me asking where did you get the pickup rings? I tried to buy some from mine and they're always the wrong size

You are making a custom into a standard with adjustments for the most part in terms of esthetics
Block inlays won't match a standard, especially with the extra one behind the first fret.
sounds great! Rest of the gear?
We had this plugged straight into a Marshall SC20 if I remember correctly. :)
I be soon getting a goltop p90 edwards whatvi understand edwards make good guitars...
We've been looking for a P90 Edwards for a long time. Nothing is popping up where we are :) Happy for you on your find. 👍

How to order this model ? Thanks
Congratulations
In our country, we have a lot of travellers bringing home Japanese made guitars. It is easy to find one on sale on the used marketplace. :)
@@soundforge8096 Thanks Pal
I just wish they where fully made in Japan not China
What's the difference, when it's good? Wake up and face reality.

They are made in Japan. Edwards only made them in China and did setup in Japan for about a year back around 2009.
@@davelowe864 really?
Mine says Made in Japan under the serial # behind the headstock, also have a JS Burny lp custom
YOUR LOGO SOUNDTRACK IS OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD!!!
Thanks for letting us know. Will definitely adjust it. 👍
So why not get a cheap plain lp if you wanna customise it.. this is a great guitar as it is.. shame
