Bravo!!!! That IS beautiful wood. What kind of wood is it? It looks sooooo nice. Lucky Mr Refurby!! I am a little envious, but not bitter ha ha! Merry everything! All best wishes for a happy and healthy New year! See you then.✨❤️
Aww thanks Mea! Merry everything to you too! Xx I think it’s Australian blackwood. I’m not 100% sure but it has a fiddleback pattern through the grain and similar rings. 😊😊
Hi Di, this turned out just gorgeous! Beautiful job as always. Could you please let me know where you get the drawer stoppers from. Thanks for sharing your talent and time 😊
This is the first video in this collab that I've got a chance to see yet. What a way to start off. You did a fabulous job there. That hemp oil just made the wood sing. Wonderful. Could I ask please, would the hemp oil on it's own be enough protection for a dining table top? I have an oak farmhouse table that I just got from fb marketplace for free. Finish on the top is practically non-existent any more so I'm gonna tackle it after Christmas and get the finish off the legs too and restore as best I can. Love how your dresser turned out. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Emer, The hemp oil will dry hard and be waterproof and seal the timber. This curing process takes a little longer than top coat. I like to leave the hemp oil for a good 22 days before being sure it’s completely cured. It is also good to reapply the hemp oil after about 12 months. The wood really loves it. Pureco hemp oil is also-food safe so you can use it on chopping boards as well. 😊😊❤️
Di, this is absolutely beautifully restored. I’m glad you kept the old pulls. Just perfect.
Thanks oodles tarnya xx

@@Refurrbys Thanks a million.
This is gorgeous. Great work. What does wet sanding on hemp oil accomplish?
Hi MrsJax. Wet sanding allows the hemp oil to penetrate a little deeper and also results in a super smooth finish.
Its soooooo soft! 😊😊😊
