Wow! What a great set! I was on the fence about this one. But after watching this, I'm going to pull the trigger on this one and get it. Thanks, Keith!
Hey Christian. $40 for this amazing set. I think it's a no-brainer and I really do hope you pick it up for yourself. Thank you as always my friend for stopping by. Really hope you enjoyed your Christmas and all the best for the New Year
Wow !!! Not seen this awesome looking set Keith, loving the red & black look to the edition & it goes really well ! I"ve never liked "Rosemary"s baby" thought it was quite tame, but i hope you get more enjoyment out of it then myself, love the look on the "Pet Sematary" cover with the cat & the eyes 😎, & its a movie i really like & the ending is a creepy one. Really enjoyed "Smile" & i look forward to the sequel to watch, a good collection of movies inside the set & nicely put together & a bargain ! Thanks for sharing !
$40 for everything in this set I think was an absolute no brainer and I am ecstatic that I picked it up. I'm hoping to check out Rosemary's Baby sometime in the next week or two. I have that much to catch up on it's borderline ridiculous at this point. But every other movie in this set I absolutely love and thankfully I only owned two of them on 4K already. Thank you once again Carlos for stopping by. You are really getting through them tonight
A really awesome pick up Keith, at an amazing price as well. Love most of these films within the set, the art work for all of them is superb. Really nice looking set. Great picture quality also. Hope you enjoy mate. As always, excellently presented and very informative, as per all your reviews. Thanks as always and keep up the good work. All the best mate.
Hey Adam. I'm a huge fan of four of the movies in this set. Haven't seen Rosemary's Baby yet so hopefully it'll be a full house. I think it's an absolute no brainer $40 for 5 movies on 4k. A huge thank you once again Adam for taking the time out of your day to stop by and check out this beautiful release. The support is massively appreciated. Happy New Year to you my friend
@MUSICLOVER72 it's great to hear Chris that you and the family have been out celebrating your wife's birthday. Gone but never Forgotten. It says a lot about you and your family.
Great unboxing! I've never seen the inside of this set, so i didn't know about the new slipcovers that came in the set. Personally, I really like the simplicity of them and how they all match very well. I also like the art of the box, the pin and the Fangoria magazine is very cool as well. I only wish they would of put the original poster art on the Pet Semetary cover. I figured they would since the other films have their original poster art on the actual covers.
I was under the impression that the artwork that you get with the pet cemetery release was the original. Again my history is not great with that movie so chances are I might be wrong. But I think the set itself looks fantastic and for $40 it was a no-brainer. Thank you so much for taking the time to check it out
@@millerman9991 Yeah, the artwork on the Pet Semetary is the new artwork they made for the bluray release. It's not a big deal though. The set is still awesome and great for the price.
I really do hope you consider picking it up because for that price I think it's an absolute no brainer. Such a lovely set as well. Thank you so much for checking it out
Yeah John it was a bit of a no-brainer this edition. Thankfully it's still available at that price. Hopefully a few people can benefit from it. Thank you for checking it out
Great unboxing, Keith. I didn't get the Paramount sets since I already own most of the individual 4K releases. However, the boxes are really neat. I do like the slipcovers for the 4K cases. And 59 € including shipping and customs is money well spent for this edition.
Thankfully I didn't own three of the releases in this set so it was a no-brainer to pick it up. But I completely understand why you would pass on it Ash. Like you said 59 euro money well spent. Thank you once again my friend for stopping by. Happy New Year to you
Two very nice looking special editions, Keith, and the price for volume one is excellent. some great movies in this edition and like you, I have never seen Rosemary's Baby, I was going to watch it a couple of months ago but heard nothing much happens in it and it put me off but I do have it to watch when I'm ready. Great artwork on all of these movies Keith especially Rosemary's Baby. I hope you and Ellen had a great Christmas yesterday, Keith.
I heard very mixed things about it myself Gary and it did put me off as well. But it's also a classic and for that reason alone I really need to check it out. I can't believe the price of this edition. It was an absolute no brain to pick it up. Just for Rosemary's Baby on its own was excuse enough. But a huge thank you as always Gary for taking the time to stop by. A Merry Christmas to you my friend
Man you guys are sleeping, RB is a classic, great score great cinematography great atmosphere, great which craft lore a very trippy dream scene, go watch now.
An awesome set, though I'm not a fan of Sweeney Todd, but the other four films I've not seen at all (apart from bits and pieces of Rosemary's Baby). Great video, Keith. Cheers, and I hope you and Ellen had a fantastic Christmas.
Wow I am so surprised to hear that you have not seen four of the five movies in this. There is some great movies in there to check out Mike. Thank you as always my friend for stopping by. A Merry Christmas to you
Hi Keith, I've been keeping an eye on this set for a while now. It changes in price weekly. The cheapest I saw it for was £36. For that price I should have nabbed it. Problem is I already own Pet Semetary, Rosemary's Baby, Smile and Sweeney Todd. I haven't seen Crawl yet though. If it drops in price again i'll pick it up and sell my other editions. This set looks fantastic so thank you for the unboxing. You will absolutely love Rosemary's Baby. Slow, intense, atmospheric, brilliant score. An absolute classic!
To be honest I completely understand why you didn't pick it up. Thankfully 3 of the five I didn't own on 4K so it made all the sense in the world for me to pick it up. I highly recommend checking out crawl by the way. It's a fantastic creature feature movie. Very unique as well. Thank you so much my friend for stopping by and for the heads up on Rosemary's Baby. Really looking forward to checking that one out
Hey Keith. Have to admit that Vol 1 looks a better package than Vol 2 for me, but I already picked up Pet Sematary and Rosemary's Baby earlier this year. Both great transfers - Rosemary's Baby was a first-time watch for me, too. Ill be interested to see what Sweeney Todd looks like. Love the film and it would seem made for 4k. Hope your Christmas has been great. Catch you soon, buddy
That's why I passed on the collector's Editions for pet Sematary and Rosemary's Baby because I had my eye on this set. Never in a million years did I think it would drop down to $40. I cannot wait to finally cross Rosemary's Baby off my list. It's a classic and I hope it lives up to that classic stature. Whenever I get around to watching Sweeney Todd I will let you know Steve. As you mentioned it's made for 4K. Merry Christmas to you my friend and a Happy New Year
@millerman9991 Keith I think you'll love it. It's definitely a movie that you would enjoy, knowing what you like etc from over the years of getting to know you.
Very nice set and an absolute bargain Keith, even with delivery and customs charges. I didn't know that the lovely Denise Crosby (Tasha Yar) was in Pet Semetary mate. Never seen the film, just spotted her photo in the Fangoria magazine. Best wishes to you both. Gaz.
Yeah Gary you can't really complain when it comes to the price of the set. It's an absolute no brainier. Very surprised to hear that you haven't seen pet semetery. Definitely recommend checking it out. Brace yourself for that ending though. All the best my friend
Hi keith really cool box set and nice touch with that fangoria magazine👍 If you like psychological horror movies you will have fun with rosemarys baby. It scared the shit out of me when i was younger because its playing with your expectations considering the main charackter and its surroundings. Its a slow burn but it is actually genuine creepy and the ending to it is as good as it is cruel! Greets from germany Stefan
Hey Stefan. Thankfully I am a massive fan of psychological horror movies and from the sounds of things this one might be right up my street. I don't mind a slow burn movie either because it's just developing character. Once it's creepy and has an element of atmosphere I know I'm going to love it. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and share your thoughts on it. It's always appreciated. Merry Christmas to you my friend and a Happy New Year
Yes "Generation Tik Tok" might have its problems with it....but like you said people of our age grew up with those movies and know theres not only gore for gores sake! Nothing wrong with gore but it cant replace atmosphere and scare in a movie and there is not one gore scene in rosemarys baby but like i said it isnt missed because the movie totally delievers and works that way. I also wish you all the best for the new year🍀 and keep them live streams comin😉
Keith i dont know if it came to your attention yet but rosemarys baby forms a trilogy with 2 other movies by polanski "Repulsion" and "The Tenant". Repulsion i havent seen but the Tenant stands up with Rosemarys Baby equally to me!
You are definitely tiking all the right kind of boxes for me Stefan. As you said I will always prefer atmosphere over gore all day long. I think that's what's wrong with a lot of horror movies today. A huge thank you by the way for the heads up on the sequels as well. I honestly never knew they existed and if I end up enjoying Rosemary's Baby I will look into them.
The Tenant got released by vinegar syndrome in 4k(!) and a really nice edition by the way. I dont know if its sold out but just to let you know👍 Otherwise you can only get it on dvd!
Lovely looking edition plus very reasonably priced...I got Rosemary's Baby and Pet Cemetery 4ks Paramount special editions, have a lovely steelbook of Smile too,a standard 4k of Crawl (Nige didn't like it)..hope Xmas went well 😊
I was very surprised that Nige did not enjoy crawl. It seemed right up his Street. I'm a huge fan of the movie. I probably would have picked up the Paramount special editions if I didn't buy the set in the end. Couldn't say no to that price. Thank you as always Marty for stopping by. Merry Christmas to you
Lol I would say the opposite I have only had issues with UK once with US every damn thing I bought apart from 1 item arrived with some damage at least UK use a shipping box or Cardboard Sleeves US send it in flimsy bubble mailers or paper bags or even worse just put the shipping label on the item itself
I've never been a fan of gimmick covers, where they take an object from the movie and make it the one and only thing on the cover. "Remember the door from The Shining? Remember Indy's hat/whip? Remember the Spoon in The Matrix? Remember the egg from Cool Hand Luke?" It dumbs a whole movie down to one member berry. These covers aren't bad but I'm definitely getting that give from the back of them.
I wouldn't really call them gimmicky. Theres something about the black and white colour scheme with the hint of colour which I think is quite different and to be honest I fell in love with them the minute I seen them. Not everybody is happy with them and I completely understand. I think you are getting the Best of Both Worlds. You're getting a unique slipcover but under it is your original cover artwork.
Great find Keith! Pet Sematary is amazing. Actually I watched an on location video lately. I know there are tons of videos out there, but this one takes you to the real Pet Sematary only. It's really interesting how the guy explains everything and how simple it looks in daylight. Of course there's not much left in the woods after 35 years, but it's still kinda creepy. ua-cam.com/video/6V7a3Q-6zmo/v-deo.htmlsi=eCLjFgKadD0MulOD
