- Playing music wirelessly does not mean you need wifi or bluetooth. Have you some old stereo systems with FM radio function, but no input jack? Do you want to connect your Mp3 player, iPhone, and other music / video players to external speakers? Using a Nokia Pureview 808 as example, learn this simple method of using FM transmitter to play audio through your old radio! It is available for most of the Nokia N-series have it like N78, N79, N85, N86, N8, N9, Pureview 808, etc.

You can also get those cassette tapes that's got an aux jack built in you can connect to any audio device that use headphones. They were very well known as cd to tape in the late 90s. This radio will have a better hifi sound than many Bluetooth speakers out there today.

I put an iphone into an old pioneer 90s stereo pressed the data button on it used a jack plug & man did i get some sound off all the speakers . I missed my records especially floyd n the likes where one song seemlessly blends into the next without stopping , digital music ìs not fit for purpose as its not better as in more technical etc etc . Robot music goodbye to that . Take care all .

Yes, you can set the FM station on the phone to whatever frequency you want. The distance must be very close.

I've never heard of this function in telephones. Quite useful. Would be cool to get a gizmo that can broadcast to neighbor's radios, lol. I once had a walkie talkie that could transmit to all radios through the electrical grid when I connected a wall wart in place of the battery.
If I add by attaching a long range bigger antenna of 7 Km, would that phone transmitter go at a far distance of 7 km range?

Why not just tap into the volume circuit of the radio and install a "audio in" jack. Easy peasy. Just like on my old car that had an AM radio and I installed an FM tuner, ran the audio to the AM radio which powered the speakers.

No. It comes with several Nokia Symbian phones only. Most of the N-series have it like N79, N85, N8, N9, etc.

On the Nokia Pureview 808 it's called "Play via Radio". For other phones, your phone must have the radio transmitter function, if not, you will need to add an external device to your phone.

You will need to add an external transmitter. Though technically most modern smartphones have built-in FM transmitter but the manufacturers somehow disabled it.
