Wow did exactly what you instructed per your video now I have music in my garage. Thanks! I'm like you I have an old Pioneer with some old ADS speaker (that i just love) and now I can Bluetooth music to it. Thanks again love your video! Jake.
Usually I will put the blue tooth leads on cd/dvd/or anything with a high-end processing. Phono and tape just don't seem to sound that good especially when you have audio file grade equipment and you can hear the difference.
I did something almost identical to this with my antique (1967) Magnavox console stereo. However, my setup adds a stage to address an irritating problem I have with many portable devices - a noticeably weaker audio signal when compared to other audio sources, like a tape deck, CD player, tuner, or record player. To deal with this, I've added a TEC TC780-LC line level booster between the Bluetooth module and the AUX (tape-in) connections of the stereo. Both the Bluetooth receiver and thd line booster are powered from a switched AC outlet I wired in. Not the most elegant solution, but both the BT receiver and the line booster are installed on the back panel of the stereo, hidden from view but easily accessible. There are no permanent modifications; the external hardware can be removed and the internal modifications can be reversed easily, all in less than an hour.
Yes I had a low pre out when using a few of the BT units. On My Marantz I use one of my ART pre-amps. to boost up the HK unit Iam using. Great comment.
I connected my bluetooth first to a Pioneer graphic equalizer and this one to my vintage audio receiver Pioneer SX-1080, with 4 big tower speakers. The resulting sound from my cellphone in spotify music is awsome.
I think theres much easier ways of doing this. Theres a lot of bluetooth adapters that connect to aux inputs and will have their own power adapter. So you could just grab a 3.5mm auxiliary to rca adapter, then plug that right into whichever receiver input you have free. That way you dont have to rig up a car bluetooth adapter to work with the av receiver.
I have a Logitech Bluetooth adapter . In my Aux . Works perfect .. and i have it 8 years now ...i thought about it .. but i think i have that thing 11 years.

WOW! Nice to hear I made your day. I moved back to SLC last year and found that X96 has sure changed, I found cousin Brad and the crew on 103.1 The Wave, they are playing some killer tunes. Awesome! I never knew about these devices and to hook it up like that is so easy. I'm definitely going to do this to my workshop stereo, great video sir
I'm curious - I have my entire music collection on my iMac computer. Is there a way I can connect the bluetooth in iMac to connect to a device connected to my AV/Amp using a bluetooth receiver? It would seem to me you should be able to connect to the AV/Bluetooth device just like it was a set of BT headphones as far as the AV/Receiver was concerned.
Great video excellent demonstration I want to go to the opposite direction I have a pair of blue tooth capable hearing aids and I would like to be able to send the audio from my receiver like you're done on until I would like to send that over bluetooth to my bluetooth hearing aids the question is can that done please advise
Thank you for this! Really looking forward to upgrading! And and extra thank you for suggesting using the spare phone as a TuneIn Radio command center. Doing this immediately. Best...D
It figures, the JL MBT is out of stock, just like my luck, always out of stock. you got me excited over this, I want to get back into home audio again.
MUCH MUCH easier if you crimp one end of the barrel connectors to the wall wart leads before measuring. Then you can simply insert the voltmeter probes into the other ends for confirming polarity. You don't need three hands that way. (signed: old geezer, learned these tricks the hard way)
Great vid. I have a lot of the same era equipment. Adcom, NAD, B&O, Nakamichi, Denon, Advent, Snell, etc. Kids these days don't know what they are missing.
Just found 2 old school Sony home stereos that my wife's dad had and wasn't even on here looking to see if I could hook my phone to them and this video popped up. Crazy but sweet
Great video. I didn't understand the part about receiving the Salt Lake station in Washington. Or did you just have songs recorded on the old phone from when you lived there?
I listen to X96 in SLC Utah and a bunch of stations from around the country using TUNEIN app on my smart phones and laptop. I ts my favorite way to stream AM/FM radio
breakerbroke23 I think the deactivated phone still picks up wi if from his home internet? I believe this is how you get the Internet radio over to stereo from an old smart phone that’s no longer under a data plan?
For the most part, the inputs are all the same audio quality, except the phono input. ( phono is ultra sensitive and has RIAA equalization so don't use phono in.)
I have some awesome late 70’s towers design acoustics. Don’t really wanna wire them to a receiver anymore. Is there a Bluetooth kit there can somehow hook hese things up to? Maybe not anymore but when I was a teenager, they were awesome.!
I have one of these... S.M.S.L SA300 HiFi Digital Amplifier amzn.to/3PvCJV7 ... It works very good and have had no issues with it, it also has a mono sub out! I use mine in the garage.
I have an old Eclipse car stereo, has an input, and I love how it sounds! Is it possible to be connected to the remote cable to power on and off, like you would do with an amp?!! Thank you!
Yes you can run the BT unit off the Amp Remote out wire for 12v. Your radio will supply 12v at about 750ma - 1amp Hook the ground wire from the BT unit to the same ground wire to the Stereo. Should have no ignition noise. Great question!
breakerbroke23 ..haha your user name! Thank you. Yes I assume you can do that. The unit looks like is meant to be used in a car. I just wanted a second opinion. Years back I had Walkman(cassette) plugged into an amp using a Y cable, so I guess now we have Blu tooth. I was looking for a unit like this for a long time. The ones I've always saw were the ones to plug into the cigarette lighter in the car. JL is the ideal for me and thanks for posting this video, then making my day!
I'm assuming you soldered together the two leads of a 75 ohm coax transformer and are some how using it as an antenna or what is it exactly you're doing there ?

I recently purchased an Ifi Zen blue, blue tooth DAC for $129 , not as cheap as the unit you are talking about. If you are concerned with sound Quality this unit is a good choice. Gives you all the bluetooth codecs and get really good quality sound 32 bit 96khz . And I use the same Samsung Galaxy S7. Sound detailed without all this wiring hassle.
I have an old Sony reciever with surround sound. I see you selected the Karmon as the best selection for adding bluetooth. Does this come with the AC or do I have to add the 12v as you described in the video. I am searching for the best way to add bluetooth without buying new systems. The two I have work great but as you said I've completely moved from cassette and cds. There are a few of each still around in attic but the players are gone. Thank you for the video and explanation.
You sir have the knowledge that will let you thrive in a zombie apocalypse. LOL. Thank you so much for your videos. Great clear info thanks for making the video . I have a few 12 volt adapter's spare . I will look up the model you use , am also considering the Pure receiver as it has 24 bit capability. I like the radio much more these days myself and the internet has many stations .
great stuff. could a person add a bluetooth range extender like the miccus rtx 2.0 to this setup? Also...in an outdoor setting, how far would the range be with and without a range extender.thanks
Yes the RTX would be a good choice for the long range you want. Guaranteed range through wall etc ? NO. Every home is different because of walls wiring and so on. Still worth a try. Real easy to hook up, basically the same way as in this video except the AC adapter plugs in the unit and makes a simpler install. Cheers.
I have one of those crosley stereos that came with bluetooth. I hooked up my sony mp3 walkman to it and it paired fine. The problem is the volume control on my mp3 will not work on this stereo. I can select and play songs without a problem but no volume. I have to use the stereo itself for volume. The stereo has an aux setting and red and white rca connections in the back. My question is...will I have better luck using a bluetooth transmitter rather than the bluetooth that came with the stereo? Will it be a stronger signal in some way?
Hi I want to run my TV through my house amplifier. But is there anyway I can run my speakers wireless through the amplifier so no wires are seen from amp to speakers and enjoy what I am watching through the system thanks.
You need to have a BT Transmitter on your house amplifier, and you would need some BT powered speakers. You may have latency issues while watching TV as well.
I’m just making sure I’m not doing this the wrong way. So the transformer has to be 1A no more, no less? I have a 12V 1.5A and I was wondering if that’s going to end up damaging the Bluetooth receiver after sometime of use. Thank you for this very informative video!
12v @ 1.5a is just fine, but double check the voltage (with a meter) to make sure its not to high, some adapters rated at 12v can put out as much as 15-16v. 14.8 would be the max I would go with.
Amperage rating of supply does not matter much, as long as it is the minimum the device it powers requires, better to be higher then to low. The device it powers will only draw the amps required from the power supply regardless of yge power supplies amperage rating. Ifor example if the walk wort power supply is rated at 10 amps and your blue tooth device uses 1amp the circute only uses 1amp of the 10amps rated supply. If the wall wort is rated aat 0.5amps and you try to draw 1amp the power supply will shut down, overheat and or fail.
Another cheaper and simpler way is to connect a 3.5mm stereo plug to your phone and the other end to 2 x phono (RCA) plugs into any input (except phono, turn table) it will work fine. True it's not mobile but that is what legs are for.
I had followed all your instructions except the adapter had a 12VDC 500ma output. When plugged into the Switched plug the MTB-RX did not flash and heated up quite rapidly. Suggestions?
I was watching this upload as I really want to bluetooth one of my old amps and by chance got interupted at 13.48, just got back to you tube and if you look:-) I wondered what the hell I had been watching!! even my 87 yr old mum laughed:-))
All the Goodwills I go to never have audio amps for 5 or 10 dollars. They sell them for 40 to 50 dollars. There used to be a time when they sold donated stuff at a bargain. Today they go online and try to sell their inventory for what is going on Ebay. They are no longer a place to get stuff at a bargain price anymore. I've seen books there going for $5.99 and $10.99. If you want a bargain you are going to have to go to garage sales or Ebay because Goodwill is too expensive now.
I have parked where people bring in old electronics for free recycling. If you see someone unloading a amp/receiver from trunk just ask if you can have it.
I know I’m a bastard and I’ll tease you about shit but I still like your video, it taught me some things. I got a vintage Technics stereo receiver and I love the sound and old school features but all my music is on my phone atm. Thanks for the video bud!
Thanks for this video. I have some old KEF speakers and Yamaha receiver and I was going to give them away because I didn’t think I could connect with my new Samsung tv. Now I’ll just use your hack and skip buying a new sound bar. :)
I would not use BT for what you want to do. IMO, I would take audio from your tv, and plug into an AUX or Tape input to your receiver. You will need a 3.5nn to RCA cord to do this. Plug the mini 3.5 jack to your tv's audio output and plug the male RCA's into a AUX or Tape in. Doing it this way will give you MUCH better audio..... BB23 Like This..www.samsung.com/in/support/tv-audio-video/how-to-connect-audio-output-cable-in-samsung-smart-tv/ Use a Cable like this... amzn.to/2nJBJAw
Check the manual for the TV, Do you have an audio output that can be controlled. Im going to try to do what you are trying to do in the morning on my new LG 65". Both BT and audio out to my receiver.
I want question that I'm wondering is with Bluetooth does it still matter how much wattage you have to push speakers with. It seems to me with Bluetooth and you can push as many speakers as you want with your stereo without having to worry about the wattage
I hooked everything up according to your instructions. Problem is music is only coming out of left speaker when using the Bluetooth. How to fix this problem?
reverse your rca connectors, if the dead channel is now on the left side, you have either a bad rca cord or a defective BT unit. If the right channel is still dead you have a problem in the receiver, flip your speaker A/B switch a few times and see if it comes back in OR turn the balance control back and forth it may come back. If the latter gives you sound from both channels then get some DeOxit and clean that control.
@@breakerbroke23I reversed the rca connectors, same thing, right channel still nothing. However, both channels work fine when in CD mode or Tuner mode. Problem only when using this Bluetooth. Suggestion? Bluetooth bad?
Bonus points for X-96! Todd Nukem is a really cool guy. He comes into my shop on a regular basis. I'm going to have to rig this up on my receiver. Thanks!

I just got an Alturatek Bluetooth Audio Receiver and I'm hoping I can drive a stereo power amp with it. I actually have two power amps (Kenwood model Basic M2 and an Outlaw model 750) and no pre-amp to drive either one. I have a cable with a 3.5mm audio jack that I can plug the Bluetooth into and on one end, RCA connectors that I could connect to the power amp. Would this configuration create an impedance mismatch?
first of love all the info, I have a Denon AVR-3803 that I am using to hook up zen blue all ports produce no sound accept the phono port witch is already powered so I cant use that any suggestion?
I have never seen an AUX or CD input go bad, you may want to check your input settings. Have you tried a Tape input? And yes you are correct, the phono input is way to sensitive as it already has a preamp and RIAA equalization.
Great idea is there just one question you didn't mention oh, what about when you receive a phone call do you actually talk through the audio system??? Thanks
Thank you for the quick response amazing, very professional, so if I understand you correctly, is that was installed a vehicle it wouldn't work in the vehicle either correct.? Is it just a whole different type of setup actually be able to talk? Simplicity is beautiful I love those old stereos and got all the plugs in the back built-in amp. Last question for you maestro, would have let you know that the phone is actually ringing if you're in the Bluetooth mode listening to music? PS some of those comments, downright rude. That's the difference between you and them you're doing it make it happen and they're just talking LOL can't take it personal we know we all do. But at the end of the clip he never did put it on a load for the audience before it ended you just showed us some voltage. I guess a lot of people commented on that I was like the 50th person I guess he just could not handle people ask him that. I re-read all the comments everybody was polite and respectful some were just skeptical on the voltage and not putting a load on it. He started off, you people think you can do better than why don't you do it yourself. I remember now they were teasing him because he was in flip-flops shorts t-shirt is cutting a batteries open and working on batteries acid boiling on his shop counter. That was at the most the comments, we're about his outfit playful, when I said I wonder if those flip-flops are battery acid proof LOL:-) I really enjoyed you UA-cam clip there. I like to think we're never too old to learn and be open minded good suggestions. you have to have a sense of humor!! To deal with knuckleheads, one of your comment said that products been made in Wuhan! LOL that's just too funny :-) was it? I don't think I've ever seen a product that says Made in Wuhan specifically thanks again boss really enjoyed it and a quick response
I set the phone or device volume up at 100% then set the stereo receiver at the max volume I would like to play at, then I use the device to adjust playback volume. Kind of like a wireless remote.
I did this with my chinesium BT adaptor with mini USB charging port powered by an old phone charger. Took like 3min to hook up. You basicly have diareah of mouth.
Forget brand, get one that has APTx (BT 4.2 or higher). Playback device must ALSO support APTx . Next up in quality is APTx HD. The Sound quality increase is immense. Almost acceptable for an Audiophile!
What I'm trying to figure out is how to connect a receiver like yours with the same speaker wire attachment to a wireless bluetooth speaker. Any ideas? Thanks
The connect is on the back of my receiver. I just like the ones on this receiver, where you have to twist the wire around it to connect the speaker. Is there anyway to turn the connection to Bluetooth wireless speakers that don’t get wired directly to the receiver
Any wall AC Adapter that is rated 12v at 500ma or more will work just fine. While your at it, get you a PAC Line Driver as well. Check out his video to kick it up a notch.. ua-cam.com/video/OcJzLM7b8GQ/v-deo.html Well worth the upgrade.
I have three sets of ceiling mounted speakers all wired to a denon integrated network AV receiver. Currently running off a Control4 system. If I follow this setup would the music automatically play on all speakers and is there a way to select the speakers?
If you add the BT receiver to the Denon it will play through all speakers hooked to it. IDK anything bout the Control 4 system so I cant say how that would work.
In the video for wall wart you say 12v "1A" but the wall wart linked in your comments is 12v "2A". Does this matter? Thanks for the help and great video
Question RE Yamaha RX -v2600 --I tried to Bluetooth this receiver exactly as you instructed using Aluratek Bluetooth transmitter to my Bluetooth Cowin headset-will not Work ??? Suggestions??? Thanks
Trying to go the opposite way. Have a speaker system in back yard with bluetooth receiver. Works great if you use phone to send content. I want to send content from receiver into BT transmitter and into yard speakers. Bought a transmitter w RCA ins on Amazon, but no volume. Then added a small amp, but seems to overload. Would there be an issue matching low level power?
I wanna do this mod but going the other way....I wanna take an older Onkyo Amp without BT capability and add BT so I can listen with BT headsets at the same time audio is playing out the speakers. You cant use the headphone jack because that cuts out external speakers.
This video may help. Maybe try a tape mon out if you still want to use your speakers as well as a BT Transmitter. ua-cam.com/video/wt3_pedSlrA/v-deo.html
How much is the bluetooth device? Will this allow remote control and playback of other components in stereo like the cd player i use or just radio broadcasts?
I installed a bluetooth module in my Sony MHC RV5 system. What I found is that volume from the bluetooth is quite low compared to the CD/Radio at the same volume level. Any idea how to fix that? Thanks.

Hello, Very good information some of which I have been trying to figure out for a couple of years. I take it from what you are saying that I can take an old non service cell phone and use it as a wi fi connection to my now blue toothed stereo? That is what I want to do. I have a two room shop where while I am working I like to listen to Pandora. I have already gone through two different cheap "bluetooth speakers". I want to be able to click on a switch and have Pandora. I have wire connected speaker station in the one room and the other speaker in another room. The wi fi router is in that room also. I don't want to have to leave my active cell phone there as I move around the shop (signal drops in and out) but would love to have a way the Pandora could be independent. So is there a way to do that? Would an old inactive cell phone with bluetooth be able to be dedicated to this alone (battery is shot but I could leave it plugged in to its charger) and have my old house stereo (which has the wattage I need) with the blue tooth receiver pick up my Pandora. It is not even critical that it be stereo as it is a shop environment but I do want the speaker in each room so I can hear it at reasonable sound levels. I always thought the inactive cell phones went 'dead' except for the 911 feature? Also will these receivers operate the new longer range 2.1 bluetooth (50 feet I believe in optimum conditions)? This would be a great answer to my problem if it is possible. Thanks again for a needed video. Doug Thompson
Douglas Thompson you could go a lot simpler if the old stereo has an input jack and the old phone has a headphone jack. Just plug the phone into the stereo using an audio cable. Then as long as you have WiFi you can play Pandora over the phone through the speakers.
I use an old smartphone. I had spotify account, so, I had one account logged on 2 smartphones. When I change the musics on my actual smartphone, the music is changed on the old phone. It's better sound quality, as the old phone 6 is plugged on my receiver. Bluetooth is not good quality.
I jus pulled out my ‘71 Sansui G-5700 receiver that I would love to make bluetooth. After a lil cleaning and lubing it Still sounds like new! I will employ your technique asap and report! I recently bought a gadget to make my HD TV bluetooth. It actually works two bluetooth headphones simultaneously. And, the sound is crisp, but it’s not in stereo! Hopefully your technique will accomplish that for my classic receiver as well as for my 10+ yrs Sony STR-DE197.
I'm not really into surround sound either. even in 2ch mode i never thought they sounded that good for music & never seem to have that much power. compared to 2ch receivers. except for some of the older surround sound units from the early 90's had some power.

Usually I will put the blue tooth leads on cd/dvd/or anything with a high-end processing. Phono and tape just don't seem to sound that good especially when you have audio file grade equipment and you can hear the difference.

WOW! Nice to hear I made your day. I moved back to SLC last year and found that X96 has sure changed, I found cousin Brad and the crew on 103.1 The Wave, they are playing some killer tunes. This video is a bit dated and you may want to check out this one. Bluetooth has come a long way. ua-cam.com/video/8AjZPbF8W24/v-deo.html
Thanks for the kind words... Cheers my friend.

Hello,
Try this .. ua-cam.com/video/H0uL3kbLXz0/v-deo.html
I like your video, but a chest mounted phone clip my be cool for the way you move around your bench. Keep em coming!
These units are great. If you have an older hot tub with a stereo. Make it Bluetooth you’ll love it.
(signed: old geezer, learned these tricks the hard way)
good tip, thanks
Less likely to have an oops moment and short it out too since the connectors are insulated.
i need to do something similar with my Denon 1803, i wonder if there is now finished more compact products with those results.
Great vid. I have a lot of the same era equipment. Adcom, NAD, B&O, Nakamichi, Denon, Advent, Snell, etc. Kids these days don't know what they are missing.
Right on
I have a Yamaha hook up to big technics speakers
Got Bluetooth USB adapter off eBay works great with rca cables
Just found 2 old school Sony home stereos that my wife's dad had and wasn't even on here looking to see if I could hook my phone to them and this video popped up. Crazy but sweet
Great video. I didn't understand the part about receiving the Salt Lake station in Washington. Or did you just have songs recorded on the old phone from when you lived there?
I listen to X96 in SLC Utah and a bunch of stations from around the country using TUNEIN app on my smart phones and laptop. I ts my favorite way to stream AM/FM radio

I think the deactivated phone still picks up wi if from his home internet?
I believe this is how you get the Internet radio over to stereo from an old smart phone that’s no longer under a data plan?
Very Good video!
you connected it to the CD input ... is that the best performance / output volume you will get? , or can I try another stereo input?
For the most part, the inputs are all the same audio quality, except the phono input. ( phono is ultra sensitive and has RIAA equalization so don't use phono in.)
What about output to a bluetooth speaker for surround sound?
Your radio will supply 12v at about 750ma - 1amp
Hook the ground wire from the BT unit to the same ground wire to the Stereo.

Yes, that is another way to bluetooth. Cheers.
I have a Sony FM Stereo /FM - AM Recover str-DE 935
Will this a GOOD to use?
Yes it will work quite well
I know it's an old video but greetings from Sequim none the less!
I sure do miss Sequim, I lived on 101 between Sequim and PA.

I actually watched another of your video and ordered the transmitter and reciever to add. Thanks for the info
You sir have the knowledge that will let you thrive in a zombie apocalypse. LOL. Thank you so much for your videos. My component system is from the seventies that I got brand new back then and now I can stream to it. I think most people will never know what the smell of a tube system warming up is like. LOL!
Thanks for your kind words. Check out this better system, Bluetooth gets better over the years. Here is the best way to go if you want the best sound . This stuff is always changing.ua-cam.com/video/7558yMhj12k/v-deo.html
14.8 would be the max I would go with.
breakerbroke23 - Great! Thanks for taking the time to reply!
Check and make sure you have the + and - wired correctly.

Spot on!!
GOODWILL IS A RIP OFF! They do not help the Disabled, that is a P.R. scam..
We stopped donating to them years ago.
I have parked where people bring in old electronics for free recycling. If you see someone unloading a amp/receiver from trunk just ask if you can have it.
Don't deal with good will they are money grubbing idiots
Hey, I have a question. Can I also use the tape or tape monitor inputs? And is one better than the other?
Thanks in advance!
Tape inputs are okay to use, they are the same as AUX inputs.
The only one you can't use is the phono. Way to sensitive and it has eq ing.
Cheers.
I know I’m a bastard and I’ll tease you about shit but I still like your video, it taught me some things.
I got a vintage Technics stereo receiver and I love the sound and old school features but all my music is on my phone atm.
Thanks for the video bud!
Nice I’m into the old receivers myself I’m Definitely going to Bluetooth mines as well thanks for the video keep up the good work
Cool, thanks, have you checked out any of my newer BT videos?
BB23

WOW thanks for the help and it should be much easier.
So I hooked up my system like you said but I do not have volume control on my TV remote. If I used BT would I gain volume control on my TV remote?
Check the manual for the TV, Do you have an audio output that can be controlled.
Im going to try to do what you are trying to do in the morning on my new LG 65". Both BT and audio out to my receiver.
What is a wall wort
I want question that I'm wondering is with Bluetooth does it still matter how much wattage you have to push speakers with. It seems to me with Bluetooth and you can push as many speakers as you want with your stereo without having to worry about the wattage
what do you think about the Denon DN-202wr? More expensive but is it better than those marine receivers?
That 202WR is the incorrect unit. To bluetooth to your receiver you need to us the Denon DN 200BR... And yes I want one. Thanks for watching... BB23
Input may be bad on receiver try another
Bonus points for X-96! Todd Nukem is a really cool guy. He comes into my shop on a regular basis. I'm going to have to rig this up on my receiver. Thanks!

awesome and so simple . thanks so much for the video👍
Do these things come with invisible speaker cables or do you have to purchase those separately???

I just got an Alturatek Bluetooth Audio Receiver and I'm hoping I can drive a stereo power amp with it. I actually have two power amps (Kenwood model Basic M2 and an Outlaw model 750) and no pre-amp to drive either one. I have a cable with a 3.5mm audio jack that I can plug the Bluetooth into and on one end, RCA connectors that I could connect to the power amp. Would this configuration create an impedance mismatch?
It will work just fine. Just turn the device volume all the way down before playing music.
The test failed. The power amp pulled the output from the Bluetooth receiver down. I will need a pre-amp between the Bluetooth and power amp.
Can I use your method of creating Bluetooth to connect to Sirius XM streaming from smart phone to an older receiver like a denon avr 1804?
Yes. I do that when we have house partys.
first of love all the info, I have a Denon AVR-3803 that I am using to hook up zen blue all ports produce no sound accept the phono port witch is already powered so I cant use that any suggestion?
I have never seen an AUX or CD input go bad, you may want to check your input settings. Have you tried a Tape input? And yes you are correct, the phono input is way to sensitive as it already has a preamp and RIAA equalization.
Great idea is there just one question you didn't mention oh, what about when you receive a phone call do you actually talk through the audio system??? Thanks
This type of BT receiver will not let you talk through the phone. Great question. Cheers.
I don't think I've ever seen a product that says Made in Wuhan specifically thanks again boss really enjoyed it and a quick response
We are never to old to learn, you just have to want to learn. Thanks for your kind comment.... BB23
This is all nice but you still can only up the volume manually, right?
I set the phone or device volume up at 100% then set the stereo receiver at the max volume I would like to play at, then I use the device to adjust playback volume. Kind of like a wireless remote.
I did this with my chinesium BT adaptor with mini USB charging port powered by an old phone charger. Took like 3min to hook up. You basicly have diareah of mouth.
Forget brand, get one that has APTx (BT 4.2 or higher). Playback device must ALSO support APTx . Next up in quality is APTx HD. The Sound quality increase is immense. Almost acceptable for an Audiophile!
How about making a phone call on the celly?
What I'm trying to figure out is how to connect a receiver like yours with the same speaker wire attachment to a wireless bluetooth speaker. Any ideas? Thanks
Not sure I understand.
The connect is on the back of my receiver. I just like the ones on this receiver, where you have to twist the wire around it to connect the speaker. Is there anyway to turn the connection to Bluetooth wireless speakers that don’t get wired directly to the receiver

Well worth the upgrade.
The 2a ww will work just fine. Actually the 2a will run a bit cooler
The BT unit will only draw what it needs, so yes.
Great vid! If I do can I just plug in the 12v brick into the wall

Question RE Yamaha RX -v2600 --I tried to Bluetooth this receiver exactly as you instructed using Aluratek Bluetooth transmitter to my Bluetooth Cowin headset-will not Work ??? Suggestions??? Thanks
If you are steaming from phone to stereo Receiver then you need a BLUETOOTH receiver and not a Transmitter
That's 12v adapt can plus in the wall input ?
Trying to go the opposite way. Have a speaker system in back yard with bluetooth receiver. Works great if you use phone to send content. I want to send content from receiver into BT transmitter and into yard speakers. Bought a transmitter w RCA ins on Amazon, but no volume. Then added a small amp, but seems to overload. Would there be an issue matching low level power?
What BT transmitter and pre amp did you get?

I wanna do this mod but going the other way....I wanna take an older Onkyo Amp without BT capability and add BT so I can listen with BT headsets at the same time audio is playing out the speakers. You cant use the headphone jack because that cuts out external speakers.
This video may help. Maybe try a tape mon out if you still want to use your speakers as well as a BT Transmitter.

Hello, I love this video! My mete is dead what happens if I have the wires backwards, worst case? I have a 50/50 shot and one reply her said his just heated up. Your thoughts?
Use a volt meter to check polarity.
breakerbroke23 I figured that’s what you’d say. I was rushing to do this when it came on found my volt meter batteries dead so I went to get some. Thanks
I may try this with a dac that has rca inputs
Bluetooth is not good quality.
damm I could do this ,just leave old iphone wired to receiver ? or cable connected to receiver and iphone`s will bluetooth to each other for spotify?
The best one is a Phillips unit that has optical out, APTx, and a nice DAC. It costs 30 bucs. I did it years ago. Cheers
cool, thanks.

I love the video and I love old school Denon
I jus pulled out my ‘71 Sansui G-5700 receiver that I would love to make bluetooth. After a lil cleaning and lubing it Still sounds like new! I will employ your technique asap and report! I recently bought a gadget to make my HD TV bluetooth. It actually works two bluetooth headphones simultaneously. And, the sound is crisp, but it’s not in stereo! Hopefully your technique will accomplish that for my classic receiver as well as for my 10+ yrs Sony STR-DE197.
Would this work on a Pioneer A10 amp? does't have those ac outlets...
You can use tuner input, cd in, aux, recorder(tape).
this is old school style its cool with old radios. you can get the ones for card now that use usb power newer stearo's have usb and input jack.
True that..
I'm not really into surround sound either. even in 2ch mode i never thought they sounded that good for music & never seem to have that much power. compared to 2ch receivers. except for some of the older surround sound units from the early 90's had some power.
To power my Bluetooth development board one option is to put the wall wart inside the box hook it up in parallel with the power cable.
Fantastic how far can you carry the phone from the unit before it starts to fade away ? thanks
20-35 ft in house. A bit more outside on my Garage system.
Fantastic Thanks
