Absurd. So many customers left hanging. My team found out when we tried to install for a new client and realized we lost support for around 15 implementations we built out and charged clients for. EoL is probably coming... I can't imagine the feeling after creating all of these great videos, yet you guys still voice your opinion professionally.
Thanks again for these videos... They helped me learn a lot when I really needed it.

Yeah, it's tough when products make changes like this. I understand it's inevitable but I don't understand why it has to be done with complete disregard for your customers. We are glad you found the videos helpful! Looking forward to making many more!

I stumbled across this as a client has the free version and we needed to reinstate the sync due to a change in credentials but it seems that we can't do that without uninstalling and reinstalling it, which I don't want to risk yet until I know we can install it! ROAR!!

You are correct, changing the user credentials requires a reinstall. I still haven't heard back from MailChimp on the request for the link. I would open a support ticket with them to see if you can get it.
