It’s the central locking system. I have the same problem with my Ford. My key would not lock my car and the handles would keep springing back open. I then had to manually lock the car. One way to sort this out temporary is to disconnect the battery and reconnect it. Another way is to clean all around the locks on both doors with some cleaning fluid. They get dirty and sometimes can’t fully close. This also helps get rid of it. Hope this helps!

If you have the better InstrumentCluster with the Board Computer which tells you which door is open, its a greater problem because central locking does not allow you to close the doors and it makes a BeepSound, even while driving Most likely its the microswitch in the doorlock. Unfortunatly its a pain to get to it, you have to disassemble the hole door and its quite expensive (300 Euros) Dont get a used lock, like i did the first time, because its likely to have the same error. Last time i solved it by cutting the signal cable. I have to solve this on Fusion. If i get to it, i post more infos which cable it is. I think the simple solution is to cut the cable by the instrument cluster, so it always thinks that the door is closed.
Have You find the signal cable? I am thinking of the same solution that You have described, but I do not have wiring diagram, and I do not know which wire to cut…
I encounter the same problem after a small side crash and after the restore and paint the door, I assume that they have not done a good fit in the repair shop, especially when I lower the window to the side of the passenger's door. it's the next one I'm going to take a look at, with a exterior use of spray wd40 it did not solve the problem. these days i deal with the window motor crack on the driver's side and opening the door inside I found a lot of dirt on the moving parts, I suppose by cleaning in the passenger side can improve the problem especially now that I learned how to open (fiesta mk6 3d 2007)

My issue is for a 2004 fiesta after i changed the window regulator, now my central locking does not entirely work. The door open light is constantly on even when im driving , and i have to lock each door individually, but sometimes the door doesn't lock because it thinks its unlocked - its so annoying..i fixed my window now i have this to contend with

Hello! I have a same problem with my 2 door 2008 Fiesta. In this case I open and close the door 1-2-3x and it will be good. It seem to me the problem is in the doors's latch, with door's close sensor micro switch. I have not yet found a chiper solution, just change the full latch only. :(
Hey! I'm facing the same problem (2008, 2door Fiesta). It began few months ago, and evolved. Now, when I want to lock my car, I have to close and open the driver's door at least 8-10 times, till the switch works properly and let me lock the car. A possible solution that I'm curently trying is to spray the door's latch with WD-40, daily. I did it only once (first day), and the problem tend to ameliorate. If you want, I can keep you up to date.

UPDATE the new lock cost 240euros the used 50euros (greece). we test 3 different used locks but the problem remain, so a lot of cleaner and contact spray in door latch and interior and seems to work ok, i know better at few weeks. take pictures if someone can show me where the micro switch is p.m please

I was lucky enough to just have problematic locking mechanism sprayed on with WD40 and the problem was gone

Lubricant oil spray/silicone oil in door latch seems to work.

found a solution yet? exactly the same problem. I've got Fiesta ST. have to re-close my doors so i can lock the car lol
cloudburst WD-40 spray seems to work but you have to spray it from time to time, weekly. So is just a solution to fix the problem temporary.
The problem: The micro switch cemented from locking mechanism . Solve, complete device replacement. Well done Ford engineers!
