I'm really hoping for some South East Asian or Pacific mythology theme. Tattoo yourself to grow in power, channel the power and personalities of gods and spirits, fight in lush jungles and beaches when Non-Western castles were at their peaks.
i love souls games too but i'm not happy we're getting so much of them.. because when something good go mainstream it becomes stale after a while.. just like open world games
Played about 10 hours or so and I love this game. My favorite aspect of this game is that it's rhythm is completely different than all the other souls games. Only gripe is my complete lack of understanding why all these games don't support save files like dark souls/elden ring. As someone that makes any amount of characters, this is incredibly frustrating
IGN gave it a 6, but really it didn't seem like the reviewer even played the game after I watched this review. Edit: whoa people chill! IGN was just the first review I saw posted. I'd never take a publication serious that has given Madden an 8 for the past decade. (For a step in the right direction)
Been looking forward to this game ever since Spiders announced it. I'm really happy that they managed to finally hit it out of the park with this one, especially since it's a different type of RPG than Greedfall. Steampunk and Soulslike is a fascinating combination and I cannot wait to dive in..thanks for the review!
Going for a combat-focused game is a bit weird for Spiders because that was probably their weakest point previously. I’m still gonna give it a chance though because I enjoy Spiders’ particular brand of jank 😂
I just finished it. Very very easy compared to all the other Soul games. Once I upgraded my main weapons (ball chain thing) I sailed through the game. I really enjoyed it. Graphics are lovely in a lot of places.
Very well put together video. Concise, clean, and organized. Fextralife is one of those insanely high quality channels that, for some reason, doesn’t gain much traction. Definitely want to see you guys hit 1 mil subs soon. You deserve it.
Looks interesting at first glance, but I'm hesitant still. With games like these it all falls appeart instantly if the combat doesn't fell right. And it's actually hard to get it right. The Surge 1 is a good example, they got it way better in the second game but the first was just stiff combat that boiled down to "attack once, dash back, wait for enemy attack animation, go in and repeat".
Was never a fan of dark soul games or bloodbourne games but this has completely taken over my time lol level 30 dancer and a grind resources before moving onto the next area or quest. Having such a great time with this game its so well flushed out ecspecially on series X
@@Barney_rubble983 I did play it. I liked it. You can really feel the difference when attacking with a light weapon and when attacking with a heavy weapon, like in ER. Movement looks good, might feel kind of sluggish if you are used to DS/ER games. I enjoyed it
Alright I'm sold. Just recently discovered this game and conveniently it's on sale right now. It's only about 25 bucks (regular price) in my region and currently it's on sale for 15 bucks.
I played the beta pretty extensively and did notice the frame drops and missing HP bars as well. Hopefully that will get fixed with a patch. Otherwise I had an absolute blast and can't wait to play the full game.
@@1985NEVETS I'm currently playing and they feel fair. Couple times I had to argue so far but it's been a great experience. LOTS of Bloodborne influence.

I think Spiders does good work. They do admirable work with a cool identity (like Greedfall!), even if it's not going to trounce a AAA powerhouse outright.
@@locdogsgg9135 Bro, I've been a Saints Row fan since the beginning. The reboot has furthered my disappointment. I'll have to give it another shot at some point.

This game was pretty cool, but for me it fell short..It gets repetitive fairly quickly..it attempts to make the game bigger by making you retrace levels when you get new "powers" to access different parts of the levels...I got 1 full day of gameplay out of it and feel like I'm just doing busy work fetch quests now
Excited for this title, Elden ring and Lies of P. Devil May Cry released by Capcom Production Studio 4 really pioneered the genre in 2001 but we didn't get to see a comparable 5 star title until Dark Souls released by From Software in 2011.
