Tuilieres for dash/jump dodge, La Cite for grappling hook (I did Tuileries 1st and it made the La Cite boss stupid easy) • Enemies can damage one another. • Watch for hanging bags, there aren’t a ton of them but they have items in them that drop after hitting them • Dodge towards and behind the serpent enemies when they spit for a free charged hit. • Side Mission tip/SPOILER: The surgeon tools are not in Tuileries (your welcome)

I picked the soldier and used the Leda Halberd weapon (found behind Marbeau’s house). Once you’ve maxed and invested in Power, Vigor and Engineering. You will walk through this game with some ease. I completed this game at level 85 and this is in NG+. From 1 - 10 I give it an 8
The ability to dodge in mid air (gained earlyish) is pretty op. And the Dancer's agility should not be overlooked. With a push/pull combat style and a well paired weapon, this class has better dps than the tanks.
I was thinking the Dancer would be pretty powerful with how much the trailers emphasize the fans. Seems like the game was designed around that quick hit-and-run philosophy. It will be interesting to see how powerful or how weak the various status effects wind up being, though. Games tend to treat status effects as either minor inconveniences or total game breakers, with very little in between. Depending on how elements and statuses are balanced, the Alchemist starting class might wind up filling a niche similar to Bleed/Frost/Arcane builds in Elden Ring or Arcane builds in Bloodborne: Slow to start but eventually ramping up to insane damage by the later stages of the game.

Dodge in midair I need that, do you get that at a later point or is it an optional thing you find? I just defeated the first Titan and gained the clawhook ability
I found the ice cannon actually does more damage and more affliction if you jump before pressing the attack action. Note: I don't use the heavy attack, just the attack action, also if done quickly enough you can fire twice while in midair usually two shots is all I need to freeze a target.

I have a problem. When I throw grenades at enemies, they tend to dud out on me. I threw a petrifying grenade at an acolyte. More than one in a row, and their poise remained the same. Then I threw 3 frost grenades at a forger, all of which landed. First one built up its frost damage bar; the rest did nothing at all. Finally I try throwing from different angles; makes zero difference. Is it a PS5 problem, or am I doing it wrong? Is anyone going to explain exactly how I'm supposed to use the grenades, or am I better off just giving up?
My progress is blocked please help!! The bot that holds the key to the cells in the bastille has fallen into the moat. It died and now the item (key) needed to progress despawns if I leave the cells to drop down and get it! WTF
So most of this video is just several ways to say grind repeatedly to level up and very little was specific to this game. Find a grunt, kill it, refresh the area, repeat until you can upgrade your equipment and move on. How about advice for how uncommon health items are and that blocking is not a good combat strategy because blocking is a special ability that mpst weapons don't have and health is still damaged with a successful block
How do you not know you're on the beta? It literally says in the top right hand side of the screen as you are playing that you are on the beta build. It's in your face the whole time you're playing

I'm about 3 hours in and honestly am VERY underwhealmed.. the combat is too easy and the environments are pretty dull and narrow in scope. I'm still gonna give it a fair shake but so far it's MEH

As a souls player i love all kinds of Soulslikes, i immediately bought lies of p which is an amazing 10/10 game and the new lords of the fallen which i also liked even tho it had some issues. I platinumed every fromsoft souls and im working on nioh 1/2 and wo long. I never heard of anyone hating other souls likes for copying, for example i only heard good things said about lies of p. Idk why this game isnt so popular, i heard of it the first time from Playstation+ this month.

The setting of the French Revolution WAS DYSTOPIAN! you don't need an alternate universe to make it so...the atrocities commited by the revoultionaries pale in comparison to those presented in the game
This is such a disappointing and boring souls clone that I can't even play it. Combat is clunky, animations are not smooth and barely readable. Enemies are basically all different versions of a few types without any imagination whatsoever. Bosses are totally forgettable and generic. Weapons are all the same, without any interesting options. Optimization is atrocious, this 2013 looking game manages to lag even on very strong PCs. Spiders are making the same mistakes every single game, I think that's enough for me. Justifying similar low-budget and unimaginative RPGs by being a small indie studio is not working anymore.

An OP weapon combo at least at the early stage is charleville 1789 musket using it strong attack then using body of works heavy attack.

I really thought starting class matters but it really doesn't :) but it's a beautiful game overall :)
