This is a really good guide to do underclock, however one needs to experiment to find the right spot. In my case with his settings my clock speed decreased ro 2.6 while it should be 3.5 at max. So i reduced undervolt to 130.9mv for both and made the tpl settings to default values. My pc - Ge63vr 7rf raider gtx 1070 i7 7700hq

Great video, really helped... I am now observing 15-20 degree drop in CPU temp after I configured the Throttle Stop settings, set my offset voltage to -120 and rest all same settings as per this video., mine is a MSI GF65 laptop with i5 10500H and 1660ti GPU.

this really helped. temps of CPU was 71 degree Celsius in Far Cry 4. Earlier it used to be 91. And little effect of the cool weather today as well due to rain

I have a i5-9300HF processor with base speed 2.4ghz and boost speed 4.1ghz . I was having thermal throttling so I tried undervolting the pc. The temperatures went down and the cpu speed was around 4ghz. But after like 20 or 30 minutes the clock speed goes to 800Mhz . I panicked and reverted the settings in throttle stop as they were. But nothing changed. So whenever I run a game the speed automatically gets stuck at 800Mhz after sometime of playing. please help .

this is not due to throttle stop laptops have this problem shutdown laptop take battery out and power up on plugged in and check if still not helps when its running just take the plug out without shutting down it sounds bizzare but this is the only way i fixed this anad this happens time to time to me lol because i dont use battery

why is everything like grayish for me i cant change anything the app works but i cant change any setting . im on a laptop btw with i5 10th gen and an rtx 3060 gpu , the gpu performs very well and never overheats but my cpu its always between 86 and 95 when im playing warzone i tried lowering the minimum and maximum power state of the processor from the power options by just 1 so it became 99 and that decreased my performance in games alot despite the 20°c drop in cpu temp so now i just cant find a way to reduce temp but keep performance as it is

I have a nitro 5 with i7-9750h and rtx 2060. Serious thermal throttling in games (starts to throttle at 92 degrees), the clock speed goes down to 2500Mhz from 3500Mhz. I tried undervolting it from -130 mv to -145.5 mv but no use, all of them still give me the throttling issues and same temperatures. What can be a solution to this?

I have a 9750h + 1660ti laptop from Asus. Forget 125, if I undervolt it beyond -50, it's starts giving me error in TS Bench. I've tried multiple combinations of settings but nothing seems to get me a decent temp drop.
Is there something I'm missing or is my laptop that's messing up? I could really use some help here.
PS: My laptop didn't originally have the ability to change voltage settings in Throttlestop. It was grayed out. I realised it was due to an Intel bios update. I reverted to an older bios and Throttlestop finally had the option to play around with voltage.

I wanted to know if gpu on ROG GL503GE is supposed to hit 90 degrees Celsius. My laptop specs are:
i7 8750H
16gb ram
GTX 1050ti
Even after repasting, the gpu sits at a temp of 90 degrees Celsius and keeps rising to a 94, doesn't cross 94 tho. There is no thermal throttling tho, I confirmed this with msi afterburner. So does all the laptops of this model behave this way for AAA titles games or there's some problem with mine. I've to give it to service center again and I'll have to defend my concern.

Hi. I am using an i7 11370h. I am not able to see fivr controls. I have a hp pavilion gaming dk 2076tx. I am just able to monitor but not change anything with this. I observed a prochot temp value as 97 in throttlestop so is it safe to reach temperatures below 97. I am not having any performance issues at those temperatures and the temperature switches in between 80-95 with high clock speeds

In my Asus tuf fx506lh(i5 + GTX 1650) when I run witcher 3 even in low or medium settings my temperature was above 90°c+
Didn't think this would be that effective now but gave it a try, now i can play on high or even ultra settings (if you play ultra fps may drop)

I followed same steps on i5-9300H, I was getting 89-90+ temp even after repasting and cleaning. After seeing this video I getting 65 temps for CPU, cannot believe it. No drop in performance at all and GTA V is running smoothly. Thanks a lot man. Didn't know the thermals can be handled this way.

Bro love your content but you made a mistake. Under TPL you changed Speed shift value to 35. That locks the clock speed to 3.5 GHz. You shouldn't change that if you want max clock speed for a given undervolt.

True, it's still good enough but some competitive games prefer higher clock speeds for better FPS. I prefer to keep clocks as high as possible with low temps. So that's my preference. @@seismic871

⚠Warning: Underclocking is safe and different for every CPU before applying the voltage setting check online for your CPU.
The offset voltage according to the video is good but mine CPU is i5 8th gen 8300h so, keys point to remember before undervolting is that first upgrade your RAM(dual channel), clean your laptop/pc fans, repaste thermal compound and check the temps.
As per my CPU I used -120.1 stable offset voltage other wise my laptop crashes everytime and one more thing update your windows, drivers and GPU drivers and use a cooling pad for laptops it won't lower your thermal but it will ventilate the airflow for cooling.
Before upgrading my laptop temps were: CPU 95'C and GPU 88'C
After upgrading my laptop temps were: CPU 55'C and GPU 60'C
sometime it depends on game to game but I use to play GTAO, COD warzone and RDR-2.

Tried undervolting with 120.1 value but my system crashed multiple times trying to boot itself further i had to reset my bios to boot it fine btw where i can a thread so that i can read it and do it all again without errors.
