Love your videos and following your journey, but this pitch is a bit extreme. A lot of teens look up to you and selling a “get fast quick” product is a bit cringe. I get that you need the sponsors but I think you know this fitness and lactate responses are a result of years of consistent aerobic training. You can pitch a product without over-exaggeration, but that is my 2-cents. Best of luck this season.

I appreciate this comment and the attention it seems to be getting. I was skeptical about this product as well and nervous about the negative feedback I might get from promoting it. Once I tried it though, these fears immediately were gone. I truly saw a difference in my training and especially my ability to recover. I believe those are things that are super important to many of my subscribers so I want to share this product with them. I understand it doesn’t replace hard training and years of consistency but research and my own experience does support its effectiveness. Thank you for supporting the journey and hopefully I can be a little less cringey in the future. (no promises lol)

@@TheAthleteSpecial I think what’s so awkward about this is you’re not forthcoming with how this is a commercial. You only in an indirect way say that you are indeed part of the marketing effort for this product. Would be much better if you just tell people straight up that this is a sponsorship. The cringe was in the part where you were like “no I swear guys it’s THAT good”

Sorry but that's some real dodgy stuff.
60 quid for a month supply? Cmon...
They don't even say how much of every ingredient is in it. Also the ingredients themselves aren't anything spectacular
You'd be better off investing that money in some good fruits and you'll get the same and even some enjoyment out of it. For like 10 or 20 quid you'll get enough Magnesium for probably a year. So that's a BIG YIKES from me

For those out there as well as for Spencer, allow me to give nuance to this product, as well as stuff like it, like Creatine. It does work. You will 100% feel more recovered and be able to endure more through these products. As a coach and someone who researches quite a lot, there is something we all should keep in mind. Just because your muscles recover quicker, doesn't mean you are not less prone to injury. If you increase your normal load or hit intervals at faster paces while using these, you could be susceptible to getting injured. Use these products and also dont adjust your training too much. That's my best advice.

Running preparation has changed a lot over the years. My only competitive years were 1980-84. No vitamins or supplements, worn out shoes, and Gatorade/Sunny-D/Kool-Aid. I guess Running Times, Runner’s World, and The Runner magazines were our Internet. We still ran pretty fast. But it was a different era. Still appreciate the new generation of runners. They are running damn fast.

I looked at this products ingredient profile all the ingredients are highly researched ingredients only problem they aren’t transparent with the dosage between each ingredient but clearly you feel the difference so there must be something right.
I think the message here is you don’t really need it if you are the average runner a good diet will suffice along with a good electrolyte drinks/chews for workouts but if you are a high level athlete you may find it beneficial.

For anyone wondering, I’ve been taking this product since the beginning of track season as well, I have nothing but good things to say about it,ong .obviously it doesn’t replace years of work but believe me when I say this product actually works.my workouts have felt a lot better lactation wise and overal I feel like it’s helped me push a lot harder during training and races, obviously without it I can still do the same but I feel like I have an advantage when taking it……

I don’t get how any of the ingredients (at those recommended dosages) do much…
The carbonates in it would suggest that thats buffering the H+. (Similar to sodium bicarbonate) but the dosage is way to low to be effective.
The boys know the ups and downs of bicarbonate loading 😉
I assume the magnesium oxide and the other ingredients are either increasing the NO in your blood or inhibiting the enzymes that break it down. (Which would cause Vasodilation) increasing blood flow and such. Which would be noticeable.
However beet root juice would be cheaper and probably more effective ?
The value proposition isn’t there for me.
But hey Spencer, awesome work. Congrats on the sponsorship!

Why do they say that the reduction in lactic acid will improve performance? Lactic acid by itself does not decrease performance and ONLY decreasing lactic acid production would not improve performance. I saw your post on Strava and I don't dislike the video. I think that extreme endurance should clarify if they are talking about decreasing lactic acid or if it is something like retarding exercise-induced metabolic acidosis.

I think it has to do with increase the nitric oxide concentration in your blood. Which would cause vasodilation, allow blood to travel quick with less work.
