Great story. I believe you were or are the publisher if JSST, which published an article I submitted 40 years ago….about a paradoxical strategy for treating unwanted Visions of a deceased relative. I was fortunate to have a fellow psychiatry resident who was quite knowledgeable. This was the first year of our residency. He suggested I read Uncommon Therapy by Hay Haley. That book had a big impact on my work.

Over the past week all I’ve been doing is binging on psychology stories. This along with the intensive training is how I will really get a deep understanding. But I’m happy that I’m listening to all the stories first because of their visceral Impact on me. I recognize all of the devices experientially. It makes the traditional education of this subject easy. You all may want to consider Creating a podcast for the foundation and telling all the stories and even more daily stories on the podcast. It would go really really far because it’s really engaging for those of us that are studying this subject.

The Milton H. Erickson Foundation no problem. I’ve been searching nonstop for more Jeff Zeig career therapy stories in general. I could listen for hours! When learning this craft hearing these stories allow you to get deeper with understanding things that can’t be taught in school and only are understood through experience or listening to experiences as opposed to theoretical academic examples. Thanks so much!!!!
