This was the first smart watch I was actually tempted to buy since the first Moto 360. I was broke in 2015 though, so this was the first smart watch I actually purchased. I bought it on launch day and have been genuinely impressed. The bezels do feel big though. Samsung does try to put the bezel to use by allowing it to be a digit scroll wheel, but I don't use it.
⌚ I am interested in getting a Samsung Watch when I upgrade my phone next year. As it stands right now, Samsung have very little competition especially in my region. Between excellent software support, and Samsung Pay, the Samsung Galaxy Watch collective offer a better package overall.
⌚️Got one of these for “free” when ordering a s22 and after watching some reviews actually really looking forwards to it!
After owning the watch4 about a month now I must say it is really really good I had my active2 since last year it was time for a upgrade
Great content. I have the watch4 44mm. You should try the watch 5pro strap. Looks brilliant. I also have a matching case protector. About smoothness. Turn off Animation. Go into the settings. Just on the phone.

Anyone else have issues with the intensity of the vibration? I have to set mine to sound mode, since I barely ever feel the vibration on my wrist. I feel like it doesn't even vibrate half the time!
I had the same issue when i bought the watch 4 40mm. I ended up returning it as it was a deal breaker for me since i use vibration for my alarm as to not wake up my husband 2hrs before his alarm. I tried 2 watches in case i got a defective one and the 2nd was the same. I also bought the watch 5 and same dissapointment! I am now back to using my Galaxy Active 1, which is a 4 year old watch that has a way stronger vibration. I hope they improve this function in the watch 6, I called Samsung to address this issue. I thought it was just me because you are the 1st person i came across to mention the weak vibration.
@@MissSmurfey yes, my watch active 2 had better vibration. I seem to always miss notifications because of this and don't want to set the "long vibration" for anything other than phone calls, cause I'll always think I'm getting a call. Very annoying!
@@Daniela-2208 my husband has the watch 4 classic, try the vibrate alert called "tap" he says it has a stronger pulse. I just may give the watch a 2nd try 🙃

I've had one since January. Hands down the best smart watch I've owned. I've tried a couple of Ticwatches in the past, tried a Huawei watch and yeah, this one stuck. I use it for notifications on the wrist and the occasional workout. I get about 2 days, sometimes more, sometimes less, depends whether I use AOD of not. Can't wait for Google assistant to come, I use Bixby a lot for reminders and timers, but like Damian says, can't control your lights with it.
I'm a mechanic, I do suggest using a case with it, the bezel is very soft metal.
I'm seriously considering this, my first smart watch for my 50th Bday. Have read quite a few 'battery' related issues, over heat and shut down. I'm a big Samsung fan- appreciate any feedback - are the concerns warranted or should I hold out for watch5? Great comprehensive review! 👍🇦🇺
Hello Adam! The Watch5 already came out and the battery on it is supposed to be a little bit better than the one on the Watch4. But it's still very decent (1 full day with really heavy usage, or two days of normal usage). I have the Watch4 44mm and I can tell you I really like it. It's a bit cheaper than the Watch5 so Mayne you should consider that option.
⌚️: I do own this watch and love it! I get 2 days and qtr on one charge since purchased! I wish it had google associated but it's okay! You can change the bands to you outfit/feelings, watch faces the comp(s) dress it up with face protection (but plain is very😍 nice) and the side buttons... well! I fine more freedom with this watch than the Tizen! Thank you for sharing and great review which was true too me!😁

You are wrong when you are discussing their policy. Apple does the same on a lot bigger scale. Samsung has all the rights to limit functionality only to Galaxy devices in order to sell more of their ecosystem. That is the way Apple does it. Why should others be different?
Mate, I have no clue what the hell you're talking about because I don't mention Apple or the Galaxy Watch update policy. The ECG feature should be available to all users no matter if they're using a Samsung phone or not - this has nothing to do with Apple so no idea why you're bringing it up.

I see what you mean but I disagree, I would get it if it just didn't work with iphones but only android, fair, but limiting features that are actually on the watch to just selected subgroup of phones is stupid, people generally hate apple for doing that with their devices and we should talk shit on Samsung for doing the same
