Golok Dhabe : An Artist's Journey Through Loss and Resilience | Art | Struggle | Ling Ghesar

- As a refugee who embarked on a harrowing journey to escape a troubled past at a tender age, marked by the absence of familial connections for some decades, narratives have become my lifeline. Without the semblance of a permanent address, stories have emerged as my sole asset, composed of dreams, hopes, and ideas-a treasure trove I hold in the highest regard.
My upbringing was steeped in the richness of narratives, acting as the driving force behind my pursuit of continuous growth and self-improvement. This journey has not only solidified my passion for storytelling but has also highlighted the profound impact it has on our scattered global community. This endeavor has served as a vital bridge, fostering mutual understanding among individuals from varying walks of life. It's been instrumental in bridging the generational gap, uniting the wisdom of yesteryears with the vigor of the present through the conduit of stories, experiences, and ideas.

Real Tibetan like that’s, always appreciate Golo Dabe. 👍☕️
Good to interview with Golok Dhapee. He is very famous person in tibet when I was child.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Thank you Dhabe la for sharing your beautiful insights 🙏🏻
Such a brave man! People like him are the one chinese afraid of.
Golok Dhabe explains it very well about Ling Gesar since many people have no depth knowledge about it and even calling it a story tale.
We Tibetans must take care of our own culture and history instead giving it away to China.
China is doing big efforts to take care of the epic of Gesar and spends lots of money for reseaches on the Tibetan King Gesar. If we can‘t take care just because our own mind is limited, it will be a great loss.
The interviewer has big struggle to follow the explanation given by Golok Dhabe, even he repeated it multiple times. Either he thinks it is a joke or he doesn‘t understand several topics or Tibetan.
These days you can see several ruins and artefacts related to Ling and Gesar all over Tibet. It‘s not only about Golok, Gesar is known throughout the whole Himalayan countries as far away as Baltistan.
Tibetans in Exile lack knowledge of the deep potential of our culture, history and religion.
The interview was so good...😊
Very good job.
🙏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🥰

Gesar's legend is still mysterious. Even expert historians have conflicting views. So let it be like that till certain evidential materials are uncovered like the Dunhuang ancient manuscripts that proves its validity or otherwise.
World know nothing about that Dun hung thing of yours but the the "Journey to the West" is well known. It is about Chinese monks travel to India. If Tibet was part of China "since the ancient times" then the title of this story would be "Journey to the South" and not "west"
This famous Chinese epic itself proves that Tibet was never under china in the past.

I am so disappointed bhuchung la. You didn't let him speak on the validity of Ling Gesar as a person who actually lived and died as a Tibetan irrespective of the region he was born. As he seems to be passionate about the Ling as a Tibetan persona, and hence lot of research seems to be done on his side within his own capacity, you should not have
interrupted and ultimately forced him uncomfortably to change his approach.

The only joker here is you
As Dhabe La being an expert on Ling Gesar legend and as a guest speaker, you could have avoided putting your view on Gesar's legend and concluding by yourself that it is a made up story written by some monks who glorified a non existent person equivalent to Buddha like image.
