Klucky telling Marian that "this is no place for a lady" before proceeding to take down a bunch of armored rhinos football-style is one of my favorite parts in this movie XD
The scene where Lady Kluck went up against those soldiers will always be my favorite and such a masterpiece. I used to crack up at it all the time as a kid lol
i love that little john rocks up in a not-particularly-convincing costume, calls himself "sir reginald, duke of chutney", and prince john is instantly like "yes! i fucking _love_ this guy!"
Ahhh, Robin Hood, one of the only Disney animated movies I actually did know well when I was young since it was the only one to pop up on broadcast television back when I was a kid.
I'm a rancher, and also the frontman of a metal band who lives in the middle of nowhere. I hadn't seen this movie once since I was, oh, about 6, and I just rewatched it a couple weeks ago and fell absolutely in love with the film. As someone who's never really experienced love, Robin and Marian's love is the most perfect and beautiful love I have ever seen. I'm never, never, sad. And this movie had me in a puddle for a good week. The love scene/song is just perfect. Perfect. It really spoke to me deeply as I live in a vast, open, and empty desert, where I'll just walk, and walk, and walk for miles into the nothing letting my mind wonder, and enjoying the utter silence and peace... always alone. And it got me thinking; "Wouldn't it be nice, to share my world with someone? Have someone sit next to me on my little mountain and enjoy company?" But I know that type of love expressed between Robin and Marian is very, very rare. Something only a very lucky few in this world will ever experience. Will I ever get that chance? Only time will tell. For now I'll remain in my secluded little world, far, far away from everything...
My dad took my brother and me to see this movie when it first came out. He enjoyed it as much as we did. He was laughing about it for the rest of the day!
Growing up, I was always about a foot taller than the rest of my class, so my nickname was Long One. I loved it, and at one point my friend's ringtone for me was the whistle song!
A scene from this film came up in my recommendations and now I can't stop watching videos about it. I remember how happy I was when I watched this a child. Hiss was always my favourite character, (stills is) and I now realise how iconic Lady Kluck is.
This is my ALL TIME favorite Disney movie. I've loved since I was in 2nd grade and I've always wanted to adapt the Robin Hood story for live action based around this template. The best Robin Hood ever!
ummmm... this is great but also "Who's driving this flyin' Umbrella?!?" and "take that ya SCURRRVY Knave" are in my daily vocabulary and I'm very sad they're not in here
This Disney film is one of my favourites as a Notts native, it was always on play in our house when I was a kid (it came out well before I came along). Granted its not historically accurate exactly lmao but its nice to have our local lore represented anyway.
Great video, but should've had more prince Richard content. He and Hiss were the most entertaining chaters in the film. I would've added the "how dare you slap the royal hand".
It is even funnier in retrospect. My brothers and I didn't know what an in-law was so instead of saying Richard had an outlaw for an in-law, we said he had an law for an in-law.
I love this movie so much. We can hike up to that hill and die on it together. And also, I can’t stress how satisfying it was to see Friar Tuck go ham on the wolf IRS. Fun fact: in the Bible, when Jesus saw the tax collectors at the Jewish temple, he flipped thier tables, and beat up the tax collectors, throwing them out of the temple. Neat parallel
Great video! This is in my top 3… I def think Phil Harris is a factor in that because Jungle Book is my favorite of the old classic with this right underneath…. I made a Robin Hood video commemorating the 50th, 90’s/00’s hiphop fans will enjoy immensely…. 😁😂🎤
pretty sure the 'little einsteins' theme either sampled this or was composed with this in mind; the pink they all wear reminds me of the 'pink elephants' scene from "dumbo", and the croc/gator's voice reminds me of le frog (from flushed away) when the henchfrogs ask him about dinner
I don't know who you are and I don't know what you know but what I do know cuz you made me laugh my f****** ass off you took me straight back to the f****** kid days in the 1990s man f****** I haven't even thought about this movie for 15 years what an amazing clip you made up I love you keep doing what the f*** you're doing keep expiring us 80s kids
3:58 aww you left out when Prince John screams and ties Hiss up on that pole several times over lol There are a lot of other scenes that have been left out but it is kinda hard to include them all of you're trying to make your video a few minutes long Anyway I enjoyed the scenes and the commentary thoroughly lol
This film being nearly 50 years old doesn't decrease how much of a masterpiece this will always be
Not really a masterpiece, but a damn good time all around.
*50 years later*
Friar's rubbing wood
It’s a masterpiece…. And Glenn Miller is a legend for his songs here and in country music

"Be gone long one" is one of my litmus tests for humans.
One of the most underrated influences of all time. I randomly hum the tune to the royal procession when I walk around 😂
Ahhh, Robin Hood, one of the only Disney animated movies I actually did know well when I was young since it was the only one to pop up on broadcast television back when I was a kid.
Exactly the same!
This will always be my favorite Disney movie. It's got the kind of humor that just gets funnier the older you get
This will always be my favourite movie deep down.
Absolutely timeless, it's still just as funny as it ever was and it was before Disney went all weird......
You mean the late 80s into the 90s where some of their best work EVER was done?
@@s4mpson I like Aladdin, Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast
Ya back when Disney know what they where doing, providing us with top notch entertainment
Clucky is a queen !

Robin Hood is probably the most rewatchable Disney movie
I’ve always loved this movie! Where was the “who’s driving this flying umbrella” moment? Probably my favorite part!
every day i regret leaving out that line, it's so good 😂
Growing up, I was always about a foot taller than the rest of my class, so my nickname was Long One. I loved it, and at one point my friend's ringtone for me was the whistle song!

My favorite Disney film by far!!
Truly one of the greats and my to favorite Disney movie. It’s funny, has great music, and has that 70’s art vibe.

Ok Ima Just Look Around In So- *SNEEZES*
Oh Bless Me
I love this movie 😂❤️
Fun fact: when me and my step siblings were kids we'd use that exact "no tattling" oath
I wore this vhs tape out when I was a kid, still one of my favorites to this day
0:09 is my favorite.😄😁
This movie never gets old to me.
When I was little I used to love that little baby bunny. I mean I still do because she’s adorable
Whenever I instruct people on guns, the "safety on Ol Betsy" is frequently used.
YES this movie and the princess bride made me
same! have you seen my princess bride videos?
@@katieedits2020 OOH MY GOD NO BUT IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR ONE
I've seen this movie so many times that it has become a part of my lexicon & I still use quotes from it all the time.
I watched this just the other day and realised it's still an absolute masterpiece.
This is my ALL TIME favorite Disney movie. I've loved since I was in 2nd grade and I've always wanted to adapt the Robin Hood story for live action based around this template. The best Robin Hood ever!

I haven’t watched this move entirely but I can still feel the strong nostalgia
Sir Reginald, Duke of Chutney! Still hilarious 😆
I've got a doiwty thwumb will always be in my head
as it should be 😂
“Bro, Friar Tuck is going sicko mode,” made me wheeze-
This Disney film is one of my favourites as a Notts native, it was always on play in our house when I was a kid (it came out well before I came along). Granted its not historically accurate exactly lmao but its nice to have our local lore represented anyway.
Nostalgia gave me the feels. Thanks for sharing this. Good old times. Shame Disney is not like this anymore.
Thank you!! I hadn't even thought about this movie in like 30-40 years until now. Really brought back a lot of memories!
HISS!!! You’re never around when I need you!! 😂
I still love it even grew up on it and mine grew up on it as well
Not me naming one of the dolls at my grandma’s house Archery Tournament bc of this absolute masterpiece
oh my gosh that's hilarious i love it 😂
This movie has lost none of its charm since I was little.
this movie WAS my child-hood
I love this movie! Especially when Friar Tuck had enough!
That moment when Sir Hiss has more brain cells than Prince John 😅
I almost forget how great this movie is😭
1:06 The text here accurately reflects me too. 😆
