    I am so glad I found you! I am attempting to create a clay ornament depicting The Scream as a going away gift for the curator of the museum where I take pottery classes. Painting with underglazes is different from acrylics but this was enlightening. Thanks.

      I'm really looking forward to new videos I'm learning first year animation course and I found it very helpful all the theory and importance of color we did these assignments in our class but I was wondering that why are we doing it..? Why the color wheel or tint tone shades but after watching these videos I finally got my answers and I'm feeling very much inspired to draw and paint further. I still have a question that where could I find your new series of videos because it's Oct now and I guess you must have started the videos in Sept ....?

    Very informative - I totally get confused about ‘cool’ and ‘warm’ colors unless it’s obvious but as the colors lose ‘temperature’ I still get confused - I know I’ll get better - Thanx for the lessons!!

    I think Munck don't made a mistake about using warms and cools. His warm is not background sky. Suddenly I saw a horrible reddish flag placed in foreground. Please your opinion, and thank you for great lessons !

    That's great, but how do I paint it in 1893?

    • @MarkowskyArt
      @MarkowskyArt  7 років тому +3

      Thanks! Most scientists would agree that to paint it in 1893, you'd need an "Einstein-Rosen bridge" (otherwise known as a wormhole), unless you could build a machine that travels faster than the speed of light. You might be stuck painting it in 2017.

    • @melkore31415

    As a matter of fact Munch did not paint “five or six” versions of this painting. He used various techniques and materials to paint, draw, print more than forty versions of this work. Perhaps even more. Why encourage your followers to paint versions of this painting using any color they choose? I suppose beginners might not wish to try doing a faithful copy because it may intimidate them but trying to do a faithful copy might teach more visual acuity of the eye to master color than just picking any color they like. What is the purpose of turning this great work into a cartoon? It is something of an insult. Of course there are right and wrong ways of doing this. Development occurs when rigor is expected. This exercise is pointless. When I was in school in Paris we were tasked with doing as faithful a series of copies as we could of dozens of great works of art in various schools of painting in the Louvre and other museums. If we had chosen any colors we wanted we would have been kicked out of university altogether. This method teaches nothing and offers no gain to a beginning painter other than the false idea they created something meaningful when they did not. Again I emphasis learning and mastery is achieved with RIGOR not spin the wheel and pick a happy little color. They may as well take a Bob Ross course in how to paint as badly as possible. This is silly in the extreme.
