- In this installment, I work on the benchwork on both sides of the room. It's a short video, so be sure to check back in a few days for a fun little bonus.

It’s nice that the shop supervisor has made his appearance
That’s really taking shape Peter 👍👍
Shame it was short but excellent progress. Gonna be magnificent 👍
I admire your skill & accuracy. Wish I had the space & patience to do what you do Peter.
Got to say this just blows my mind. I started with a 4x8 HO layout about 30 years ago now, starting my 2nd layout. Its a very simple around the top of the room design. Few lower spots for operations but mostly for laps. I have a small place and after years of want I found a way to make it happen. This is an inspiration to help me get off my caboose and get start on the benchwork. I am also thinking about documenting it on my channel.
Great work on a massive project! Thanks for showing us.
Fascinating watching a concept progress from the mind to real matter.
I’m not envious really, oh to have a layout that size. Great work, well done.👍
Why would anyone be envious of a layout that size? Just like I'm not at all envious of people who own Ferrari's. :-)
@@mpeterll No, but it would nice😊
Love your work Impressive someone got MONEY. Keep at it.
🇧🇷🚂👏🏻👏🏻
Montagem incrível, como sempre!
Seu trabalho é muito profissional senhor Peter!
as always very informative. Thank you
You're layout builds always look awesome peter
Rodney
Coming along very nicely.
That is a lot of plywood. Nice work on taking out the bow.
So far, I've used 50 sheets and have another 30 on order. I don't know how many I had used at the stage shown here.
Thanks for the explanation at the end. I can visual now better the layout design with the real thing.
Amazing work and very timely your workshop was ready to build this giant. What tickles me is that on the last planning video your client might move and make it a bit larger…. The dreams of so many. Great to hear you will be going to Oz to assemble, will you be doing the scenics too? All the best Stephen
The workshop was built specifically for this project.
I hope to be doing some scenery, but that's not certain yet.
Great work. Are you based in Australia or the US? Your benchwork is the best I have seen. Mike HO in Australia
I'm based in Tennessee, USA, but I will be visiting Sydney in order to assemble this railroad.
I presume you would be coming down under to assemble the finished product as part of your contract.
That is my plan. Although a couple of my clients have assembled their layout kits themselves without my help, this one will be rather complex so I really need to be there. I don't have a date yet, but I may have the opportunity to meet up with all my Australian fans.
CNC-cut helix parts are much better than hand-cutting them too
Yes, of course they are. Until now, I didn't have that option available to me.
Are you going to include packing this stuff up for shipment? It would be interesting to see to say the least?
I always include the dismantle and packing videos at the end of every series.
@@mpeterll Perfect! I look forward to the completion of this masterpiece.
What is the diameter of the helix ? Judging from the size of the pieces, I'm guessing the helix will be huge !
It's an oval. See the design video for full details.
keep camera on you will get more views we want to see everything nice work
On earlier projects I ran a time-lapse camera to do exactly that. They were the least-viewed videos I produced.
