That's a great variety of kites. I like the Halloween themed kites. The bat looks cool the way it appears to flap. Looks like a great time. They have snow fences up on our beach now, so I have to go elsewhere for the next few weeks. Sadly, snow will be here, then we are down until next spring.
It appeared to be a light breeze to start with but a great mix of kites arose with the some more wind. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves with a friendly mix of fliers. Pleased you both could enjoy a few days away flying. Thanks for all the video editing work. I enjoyed watching but would have enjoyed been there.
Kite flying DownUnder.... Carl Gillard We would have enjoyed being there with you. There was enough room to spread out. Also, no rope lines present this time.
Kite flying DownUnder.... Carl Gillard You were there in spirit...Halloween spirit :-). They say video is like life, with the boring parts cut out. I left the morning footage of downed kites in this time. I thought it might benefit the overall story, since I didn't do much captioning.
Again a beautiful video Glenn! A great diversity of kites, i specially loved the three different colored canard kites! Great show! I always looking forward to a new video! Keep filming...ànd fly kites of course ;-) :D
Glenn Mitchell, participated in the Milwaukee kite festival on July 3rd. May plan to visit my oldest son there next year around a festival or two. Kite festival in Grand Haven, MI looks like fun too. Other son graduates from Rhode Island School of Design next year, so we'll miss in 2017.
Wonderful venue, great display, and a lovely video, Glenn. Halloween clearly came early this year, and was celebrated in spooktacular style!
Jim Nicholls Being liberated from the patriot theme of past events was...liberating!

mrlionel1965 The bats were delightful to fly. Surprisingly good. Snowing rhymes with sewing. The only decent thing a kiter can do when housebound.

Stefaan Pyckavet This was a big event for Southern California. Thanks for the compliment😀😀😀
Glenn, What's the farthest you've ever traveled to a kite fest?
Michael K. Sherman Two days from Coalinga to Long Beach WA. LA and San Francisco are 4 hours away in either direction. Are you planning for next year?
