Thanks for the front view, the cab looks just as incredible as the rest of the model! My jaw literally dropped as the tailgate opened, such accuracy! Even the wear markings on the inside of the body are spot on. Everything about this truck is amazing, no doubt the greatest garbage truck model ever.
Thanks for the nice comment! Well, hopefully someone else creates something similar. And I am definately going to make more! I see that you are into the hobby as well, du you have any refuse truck related plans? =)
Masterpiece, really professional build. Looks a lot like the Norba Ki 11 which we had in my town 20 years ago. Think about me when you want to sell it, which you probably never will do. Mind the fingers with this big boys toy!!
Are the packer and hopper custom made? I just made one of these two days ago and I did it in about 5 to 6 hours. It started out as a 3 foot by 3 foot sheet of aluminum. I marked all of the folds , and took a chisel and rocked it back and forth on the line putting some decent pressure on the chisel , then after I folded the left side I "chiseled" the other 4 lines and folded them into a box. Then I took my tin snips and cut back 4 inches on the part that I wanted to be the front so that I could fold the end closed , but that didn't work as planned, after I cut it ,I went to fold it and I did but that failed very badly. I put gorilla tape there for now to hold it together but I will do something to hold it together permanently later on . I had about 5 inches of extra metal that I folded to hold the side to the top and I just drilled two holes in the side where the top connects to the side and put a bolt and nut in each one to hold it but I'm going to find a better way that's less "ugly" . And for now my packer is just made out of a cardboard box that was cut into two walls , a top , and a hopper. The packer as you've probably already guessed is made out of cardboard. For now . I want to make a hydraulic or electric one in a few days from now or until I get the parts. I still need a cab and chassis so I can make the bottom of the packer ( or hopper ) part lower than the bottom of the trucks body/ holding compartment. Videos will come as soon as I get a new video camera so look for them on my channel as well as go pro trash and recycle collections with a head-cam and also look for first gear trash truck videos. And if you could, could you get a manual of how you built the hopper and packer?if not it's ok I get that it takes a lot of manual labor to do these kinds of things ,but if you can ,great! But if not could you make a parts list for the hopper and packer? Thanks!!!
Hi! Thanks a lot for the comment. Yes, I have built it from scratch (except from the cab which is "only" shortened). I don't think I will recommend anyone to build this truck, it is very time consuming, and requires a lot of manual labour. maybe in the future if I create a more simple model. I recommend you to read about cad-software, water/laser cutting and soon you will be able to build something like this yourself. :-) Would love to see a video of your revopack by the way! :-)
Thanks for the comment! Well, the advantage of proportional hydraulic functions is that you can make the movements very realistic if you want to. =) The wear markings took a lot of time to make, so glad that they were convincing! And thank yo very much!
this is a fantastic model Norba RL-35 i also like the ejector barrier design for a clean discharge .can you do a video of the blade crushing match sticks bits of wood
Thank you! =) Conscideering the amount of time and money it takes to build a model like this, I can honestly say that I will probably never make models to sell. I don't think that anyone would want to pay a fair price. The only way to make it cost-effective is to do it yourself. :-(
I must say your models are really great do you build them from scratch? I have made a revopak out of wood with working ram but not with hydrolics. Now i am looking into making one out of aluminium and with hydrolics but it mite be a big mission. If i paid you would you make up a manual for me pls. Then i would beable to do the rest. What would your price be. Pls pls pls.
Wijnmuseum about 30kg in the downward motion, and 22kg during it's upward packing motion. Weakest moment is as the blade starts to swing inwards, where only 7kg of force is available.
Thank you very much! It is not surprising that it reminds of the Ki11, since they share an almost identical tailgate. Haha, I will sure mind my fingers, since I think it would hurt a lot to get them caught in this packer! =)
Sorry! :-( I could put together a manual of the parts that you need, like electronics and hydraulics. I could also add the types of aluminium/steel sheets/profiles and screws that I have used, along with the manufacturing methods. But to make a manual including every step would be veeery time consuming, as I did a lot of this manually. So no promises.
can i have the truck pls when i have this truck i go to the playground and i go find sticks and put in that crusher and it crush the stick pls i want that truck

How much pressure power has the packer?
Wijnmuseum about 30kg in the downward motion, and 22kg during it's upward packing motion. Weakest moment is as the blade starts to swing inwards, where only 7kg of force is available.
