I actually preferred the Tron sound. In a hollowbody, I don't think it needs fattening up. I'm getting a 5210t sent to me soon. It's a solid body with P90's. I think being a solid body, and more trebl-ey to begin with, it should balance it nicely as per the demo videos I've seen. I do much prefer the Dynasonic sound to the tron sound. Don't why Gretsch have gone crazy for the Trons. I pick up most Gretsch's and they don't feel right anymore. Anyway, still sounds good with the P90's, and thanks for the video. Very interesting! :)
Very cool man. If you do a 3D print you should put the specs on line. I was thinking about putting dog ear P90s in my 5120. Its black so maybe crome. See if I could find some used casino pups on line. I already have a casino so if it just sounded like a casino I'd have to go with something else. Maybe a DeArmond and a dog ear. Make it my poor mans Eddie Cochran model in black lol
I did make a 3d printed one and swapped the covers for chrome. I’ll make another video soon and show a print. I’ve been so busy I haven’t had time to play guitar never mind make videos. Hopefully that changes soon. I’d like to put out a video once a month.
Hi bro, Awesome video. I got gretsch 2410tg. Love this guitar but I want to put p90. I play epiphone wild cat and fell in love with the tone. But I didn't like the finish or lay out of guitar, where gretsch steals the show. Any suggestions
