+oreskec So you see the black bar at the bottom of the circle in the Moto 360? Well they measure vertical and horizontal height. That black bar isn't part of the screen so the height is shorter than the width. The width is 360 while the height is 330.
+James Kemp Thank You. So You actually get lower resolution (360x330= 118 800 pixels) than that because corners are cut off, so first and last column of screen would only have like 100 pixels in height
I really like the 360 hardware, especially that rotating bezel, but I can't get over that little black section on the bottom edge screen. It really disrupts the illusion of a normal watch which I thought was the entire point of the 360. Little things like that are why I generally stick to Apple hardware, they pay attention to little things like that.
Best thing about the new Android Wear devices is that last year's are now in the $149 price range, and now that they're compatible with iOS they're even more appealing.
+supersonik90 not at all, 360 is made from multiple pieces where as the apple watch is clean with one unibody. idk i think it kinda makes the 360 look cheap but hey thats just imo
+Jordan Thompson aren't normal watches made up of multiple parts?? sorry but I'd rather take something that actually looks like a watch than a toy any day
But the option would be there especially if you owned a one plus two say without NFC you could still use android pay and second point NFC doesn't have to touch just get very close
+James Pearse I can agree its great in theory but the apple watch has proven that to not be a viable way to pay, especially when you consider the position your arm would be in to do it xD
+Sebastian Chavez I have one, because why not. It makes wireless pay much easier, and it's way faster than pulling your phone out. So it *is* proven to be a nice way to pay. It's not necessary, but it's always nice to have more options. Still moving back to Android once the Z5 Premium comes out, though. iOS is a turd for me, atm.
Thinking about getting the Moto 360. Really love the look of the gold/nude colored wristband that is shown in the beginning of the video. It has a nice slim look to it. Where can I find it?
I have the Moto 360 2 and I love it. I've had it a few days and I've gotten a few compliments on it. The battery life on it is great as it will get you through a whole day easily. Mine has been on battery for 17 hours and its at 63% and I use mine quite a bit to send text messages from. A day and a half is very believable. I would call it from 100% to 3%....probably about 42 hours
Nice detailed reviews I just subscribed to your channel thanks from a apple fan I'm loved of apple devices latest I apple watch your reviews are awesome detailed and in depth of each product keep up the great reviews
I like your review. It's clear and informative. Moto360 and Apple Watch have their own unique features. But I prefer the modular smartwatch from blocks. I find it classy, one of a kind and very innovative in many ways since It's fully customizable. It supports both iOS and Android platforms. It's also a standalone smartwatch which you can directly send or receive messages and calls. That means you can leave your phones at home with no worries. What do you think? Will you be reviewing it soon? Anyway, keep it up.
I kinda like the fact that Apple didn't go with a circular design, because as you can see every other maker has drifted towards a circular shape - so the uniqueness factor is kinda voided. The new gold Moro 360 is beautiful but again, I could pick up a gold circular watch anywhere.
+Terry Situ Idk where Jared got his info, but yes you can. You can receive your messages on there, even from iMessage, but you can't respond, similar to pebble.
+Dylan Robertson I don't mind it.... The apple watch sport gave me a rash in 2 places. The band did and the actual watch did. So.... I returned it. Yea moto 360 for me.
+iWindowz I agree, except for two points. First, the flat tire is hideous and cuts off the bottom of many watch faces. Second, Android Wear is garbage. Sorry, it just is.
***** I would liken Watch OS more to non-perishable garbage like cardboard boxes and plastic wrappers, whereas Android Wear is more like the kind of garbage that contains rotten eggs and dog shit.
They are not biased, you just want the product you prefer to beat the other and when the facts are given that contradict your opinion, you call it bias.
I had a friend who paid £545 for his apple watch, funny thing is it was the basic standard watch. they saw him coming. anyway we was in the local and everyone liked my 360 over his watch, it was the same comments that it looked like a proper watch
I have the current gen Moto 360 and honestly I probably would not buy another one, especially with the price increase. It doesn't feel premium and what is weird is that Android Wear seems to have gotten worse, not better over time. Also not being waterproof and not being able to make or take phone calls on it is a deal killer.
Really want to get one of these for my iPhone. Just wish apple would open up iOS a bit more to allow us to reply etc. I've heard that it's something that devs can add compatibility for, but no idea if that's true or not.
I passed on all 1st gen smartwatches... now I'm really trying to justify getting the 2nd gen 360 but can't come up with a good enough reason outside of it being a cool, sexy piece of tech. I mean is it really worth it to get a smartwatch??
I like the round design of the Moto 360 but it's also really thick. That said I'm really interested in the Apple Watch for fitness. We'll watch the new Watch OS 2.0 looks like this Wednesday.
Opinion: The most important thing for a smartwatch is how it looks. It's not supposed to be a computer on your wrist, it's jewelry. The Moto 360 2015 looks fantastic. With the black metal band and the black body, it's actually close to my own Armani watch... But with a beautiful huge touchscreen! Apple Watch with the metal band is almost twice as expensive as the Moto 360? And it doesn't look so great? (like, an actual watch?) I'm fine with less options, notifications and basic info are most important anyway.
299.99 price point is steep for someone with an iPhone seeing as how u have limited features just get the 399.99 Apple sport. As far as the NFC it is a nice addition. I love using apple pay on the watch. The moto wins in the design dept tho IMO.
I've been thinking over whether to get the original moto 360 for $ 150 or get the new one for $350, I'm just going to go ahead and treat myself to the new one since it has some improvements over the last one the bigger battery and the lugs to make changing the band easier and the newer processor
I used to have the s6 edge and moto 360 deadly combo now I've switched to the iPhone 6 plus and apple watch I really wanna hear from those ppl who were saying "the apple watch cost too much " but will run for the new moto 360 even though it's literally like the same price as the apple watch lol
holy hell the 360 2 looks freakin amazing. probably the best looking smartwatch to date. The apple watch seems OK but the looks and The ridicoulos pricing makes this a nobrainer for me. 360 2 all the way. still looking for a comparioson between the new 360 and The Gear s2 though. one of them will definetly be my next smartwatch.
Have both did not like the Apple watch gave it to my wife. I like the size of the Moto 360 2nd Gen and Android wear. I also like how I can customize on the 360.
If Apple doesn't lower the price of the Apple Watch, I may go with the Moto 360. Atleast they can make an round smartwatch this year, then I may consider the Apple Watch at the same price as it is now.
I'm a huge apple fan and I've got an Apple Watch of my own. But I have to admit the moto 360 looks way better... But it just lacks so many features lol.
On ios, the apple watch for now operates better, but it still gives you everything you need, i have a pebble and a whole bunch of apps and quite honestly i use the weather and the notifications, pretty much it, and the android wear app will evolve, it did come out 2 months ago, eventually like the pebble did it will have an app store, and even potentially respond to notifications, but the customizability and the amazing looks do make up for the less functionality
I have really liked the moto 360 I think iam gonna call Motorola and ask he if I can get a gold version from it it. It will be awesome. Thanks for the review
my problem with this review is that he was comparing the 360 on iOS. why would he do that? It's Android Wear and has its full capabilities on Android.... not iOS.
Because we already know what it can do with android. Know that android wear is capable with iOS he want to talk about the pros and cons of using it on iOS.
Problem is not with the Motorola.... is the interface with the Android wear...still far behind that Apple. but it is completely a different story with the galaxy gear s2 that using tizen and interface is good and its comparable with apple watch.
So... the moto has half the storage (4GB vs 8GB), which means no music and limited apps Not a great HRM like the Apple Watch Not good fitness options (only Google Fit) Doesn't make calls (even on Android) Customizability? The Apple Watch can be bought in black, silver, rose or golden aluminium, black and naked steel or yellow or rose gold. Has an enourmous amount of extreme high quality first party bands, and third party bands for all tastes and price points, plus, you can use your 18, 20, 22, etc... bands on it, besides the proprietary adaptor, just with a $5 adapator... So Moto 360 wins for customizability? Where do I get a magnetic leather bracelet for the Moto? Where do I get a rubber band that doesn't have a buckle? Where do I get a metal links bracelet that can be adjusted with a press of a button? You can't!
The flat tire sucks (cuts off the bottom of many 3rd party watch faces), and Android Wear sucks. Other than that, I love the Moto 360. Way classier looking than the Apple Watch. I bounce between iOS and Android a lot so it makes sense to go with the 360 since it's cross-platform, although I believe the Apple Watch is currently a more useful product overall.
Beastz Nonsense. It was extremely noticeable every time that I looked at it. It cuts off text, the bottom of certain watch faces, etc. It's one of the biggest reasons why I got rid of it.
All smartwatches suck But my list is 1-apple watch ( because it has a lot of apps and its a decent watch overall) 2-moto 360 ( 1-android wear 2- circler screen 3- 250$ price) 3-Samsung gear s2 ( i hate the software ( tizan) but other than that its a very good watch ) 4-gear s1 5-peple watch ( the newestone )
I would definitely get a Moto 360 if it had apple music and Reminders and native apps etc from my iPhone. Both are winners. I long for the day when I'm high out of my fucking mind on a summer night and I look at one of those beautiful watch displays on my wrist. I might time travel into a different vortex.
I do own an iPhone 6 but just look at the Moto 360 it's so beautiful and apple watch is just meh.
Haha yea, I think it looks more classy and looks more like a watch.
Hey how does it work after syncing?? M planning to buy so ur inputs will b vital for me :) tks...
+Dylan Robertson So what? The Moto360 still looks 1000x better then the Apple Watch.
#RoundWatchesMasterRace.
+Nookiezilla exactly!
+Aaqib Bora I did a video about the moto 260 v2 vs apple watch on my channel and I agree with u
can someone explain me how screen resolution on Moto is 360x330 when screen is round???
Because Google.
+Dom Esposito www.google.hr/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=AHTsVYr2A-fH8ge2s6-gCw#q=360x330+screen+resolution+of+circle+screen this didn't explain much
+oreskec So you see the black bar at the bottom of the circle in the Moto 360? Well they measure vertical and horizontal height. That black bar isn't part of the screen so the height is shorter than the width. The width is 360 while the height is 330.
+James Kemp Thank You. So You actually get lower resolution (360x330= 118 800 pixels) than that because corners are cut off, so first and last column of screen would only have like 100 pixels in height
+oreskec Yes, the resolution would be smaller because it isn't a square.
will you be reviewing the galaxy gear s2 when you get hands on?
+Steive Mcurry yep
nice one *****
+Dom Esposito yo bruh, do you know where you get you intro from bruh?.
+Herve “Michaelanglo” Shango he made it bruh
Emrich Perrier oh thats cool
you just earned a subscriber very well made video!
+RAIN thanks!!
Apple watch is better man
The apple watch with no 3rd party watch faces sucks.
The apple watch with no 3rd party watch faces sucks.
The Apple Watch doesn't support Android phones while Android smartwatches works on both iOS and Android...
Sorry for the two comments. ios 8 is super buggy and it sends two messages :/
+Wayne Kosimoto wait until Watch Os2
Please tell me what size is case and band in minute 3:45
Hey Dom, was cool seeing you at IFA ;). Great comparison!
This is very true . . . hmm
+Daremachina I dont think the bezel rotates.... Also the little thing there is for the ambient light sensor and to keep Bezels as small as possible.
+Daremachina The rotating bezel is on the Samsung Gear S2
I agree with the bezel being annoying. I also think the watch is a little on the thick side. However, I do really like it. 😊
+Wall Breaker That is true... 😊
Best thing about the new Android Wear devices is that last year's are now in the $149 price range, and now that they're compatible with iOS they're even more appealing.
that 360 all black is beautiful! definitely looks cleaner then the square apple watch.
+supersonik90 not at all, 360 is made from multiple pieces where as the apple watch is clean with one unibody. idk i think it kinda makes the 360 look cheap but hey thats just imo
+Jordan Thompson aren't normal watches made up of multiple parts?? sorry but I'd rather take something that actually looks like a watch than a toy any day
+Jordan Thompson apple watch looks like a toy
apple watch far superior. galaxy gear s2 is the only competition.
+coolertuep looks like you havent seen the LG Watch Urbane or huwaei watch
Will you be reviewing the Galaxy s2 epic 4g touch?
How are you liking the classic leather band on the Watch? That's the one I want
Does the $299 price tag for a 42mm or a 46mm?
42
***** thanks
+Sebastian G no its 46
No it's 42 and I don't even want another Moto 360 anymore
I have a iPhone and i am waiting for my 46mm moto 360 2nd gen to get here
Great video dom
THE ONLY video on UA-cam where they actually show something else besides the smooth bezel.
am a big android fan but why would you bring out smartwatchs without NFC with marshmallow around the corner with android pay . FAIL!!!
+James Pearse Paying with your watch sounds like a nightmare and a lot of scratched screen
NFC is unnecessary in a damn watch. Bluetooth is more than enough.
+Sebastian Chavez I have one, because why not. It makes wireless pay much easier, and it's way faster than pulling your phone out. So it *is* proven to be a nice way to pay. It's not necessary, but it's always nice to have more options.
Still moving back to Android once the Z5 Premium comes out, though. iOS is a turd for me, atm.
look at how long the Moto 360 watch band looks at 3:30... 0.o
Great video, Dom. :)
Why did you just randomly stop making videos? It's stupid imo as you had many subscribers and just randomly quit
hi dom, does moto 360 2nd gen allow call feature
does the new 360 support phone calling from the watch? I've heard differing info.
What are the differences in the operating systems?
At 3:36 that band on the moto 360 is like 2 feet long!
Thinking about getting the Moto 360. Really love the look of the gold/nude colored wristband that is shown in the beginning of the video. It has a nice slim look to it. Where can I find it?
can you receive iMessage notifications on the moto360? I'm sure that'd be a more crucial selling point
As a current Moto 360 owner this next generation model definitely looks better but is not a necessary upgrade.
Can we see the Moto working with Maps on iOS?
I have the Moto 360 2 and I love it. I've had it a few days and I've gotten a few compliments on it. The battery life on it is great as it will get you through a whole day easily. Nice detailed reviews I just subscribed to your channel thanks from a apple fan I'm loved of apple devices latest I apple watch your reviews are awesome detailed and in depth of each product keep up the great reviews
Thank you!
+MozzBytes Crapple Watch*
Can you still get text messages and all that stuff with the Moto 360 paired with iPhone 5s?
+Noah Eide
yes
I am trying to decide which one to get
Which one for iPhone?
I like your review. It's clear and informative. Moto360 and Apple Watch have their own unique features. But I prefer the modular smartwatch from blocks. Moto 360 because it actually looks like a real watch...
when a watch has the same processor as your phone :|
İt's an amazing comparison Dom , so thanks :)
Can I get regular message/iMessage notifications from my Android Wear watch when it is paired with my iPhone? Thanks
+Terry Situ no.
+Jared Allister thanks!!
+Terry Situ Idk where Jared got his info, but yes you can. You can receive your messages on there, even from iMessage, but you can't respond, similar to pebble.
can the moto 360 view photo like the iwatch?
everyone on the iWatch should try 360(2015) or any of the new android watches coming out.
It's the apple watch you dingus.
+Dylan Robertson I don't mind it.... The apple watch sport gave me a rash in 2 places. The band did and the actual watch did. So.... I returned it. Yea moto 360 for me.
Moto is better :)

***** You're welcome.
+VitoDaKing I believe that if you have IOS get a Apple Watch. But if you have android get the moto 360
exactly
Both are great. I'm an Apple Watch guy but love the Moto 360. On the other hand, the Samsung Gear S2 can't compared to the Moto 360 (2015).
Why are all M360 vs AW do biased?
So*
They are not biased, you just want the product you prefer to beat the other and when the facts are given that contradict your opinion, you call it bias.
Apple watch is the best I got one today :D
But moto360 is $200 cheaper
Hey , I have a question if anyone has the answer.... Is the older version of the Moto compatible with iOS too or no?
I had a friend who paid £545 for his apple watch, funny thing is it was the basic standard watch. they saw him coming. anyway we was in the local and everyone liked my 360 over his watch, it was the same comments that it looked like a proper watch
I have the current gen Moto 360 and honestly I probably would not buy another one, especially with the price increase. It doesn't feel premium and what is weird is that Android Wear seems to have gotten worse, not better over time. Also not being waterproof and not being able to make or take phone calls on it is a deal killer.

u should hv compared it with gear s2 or LG urbane
I think "for ios" should be added to the title.
I like the round design of the Moto 360 but it's also really thick. That said I'm really interested in the Apple Watch for fitness.
We'll watch the new Watch OS 2.0 looks like this Wednesday.
Apple Watch any day of the week
Can I use whatsapp and instergram on the Moto 360??
Opinion: The most important thing for a smartwatch is how it looks. It's not supposed to be a computer on your wrist, it's jewelry. The Moto 360 2015 looks fantastic. With the black metal band and the black body, it's actually close to my own Armani watch... But with a beautiful huge touchscreen!

299.99 price point is steep for someone with an iPhone seeing as how u have limited features just get the 399.99 Apple sport. As far as the NFC it is a nice addition. I love using apple pay on the watch. The moto wins in the design dept tho IMO.
Is the watch too heavy
I've been thinking over whether to get the original moto 360 for $ 150 or get the new one for $350, I'm just going to go ahead and treat myself to the new one since it has some improvements over the last one the bigger battery and the lugs to make changing the band easier and the newer processor
I love my Space gray Apple Watch but I prefer the look of the round face Moto 360. The watch faces look more natural on the round screen.
On such a small screen I have no idea why any manufacturer would elect to use an IPS display over an OLED display.
I used to have the s6 edge and moto 360 deadly combo now I've switched to the iPhone 6 plus and apple watch I really wanna hear from those ppl who were saying "the apple watch cost too much " but will run for the new moto 360 even though it's literally like the same price as the apple watch lol
I think you'll find it's called the Moto 270 "Flat Tyre" edition...
The Moto 360 looks laggy. Apple Watch FTW!
why would they make them last only a day
That's not his Watch is it?
I like Moto 360's design and i wish apple comes out with more options to choose from. As far as apps go i would def choose iwatch.
Can i talk from this watch?
holy hell the 360 2 looks freakin amazing. probably the best looking smartwatch to date. The apple watch seems OK but the looks and The ridicoulos pricing makes this a nobrainer for me. 360 2 all the way.
still looking for a comparioson between the new 360 and The Gear s2 though. one of them will definetly be my next smartwatch.
How much did samsung pay you to say that?
Have both did not like the Apple watch gave it to my wife. I like the size of the Moto 360 2nd Gen and Android wear. I also like how I can customize on the 360.
هل اقدر احفظ بداخلها صور لاختبار الجامعة
Love the iPhone but the apple watch is just meh... comon, while the iphones looking amazing the watch is like a 10 years old child watch for 10$
Just got my Apple Watch it's amazing!!!
the apple watch with the OS looks like something you can buy at toysRus
If Apple doesn't lower the price of the Apple Watch, I may go with the Moto 360. Atleast they can make an round smartwatch this year, then I may consider the Apple Watch at the same price as it is now.
My issue is I need to be able to reply to text messages from the watch, does anyone know of any smart watch that allows this if I am an iPhone user?
either on the play store there are android wear apps that allows you to use internet ,UA-cam and emails on the watch
both watches can but the Moto 360 has a distinct keyboard while the Apple watch only has voice to text.
I like the look of the Moto 360 over Apple Watch but I'm gonna stick with the Apple Watch. If you have an android phone it looks pretty awesome.
I prefer gear s2 Classic :)
I'm a huge apple fan and I've got an Apple Watch of my own. But I have to admit the moto 360 looks way better... But it just lacks so many features lol.
+Amin.Arri so many features? what are all of these features?
Isn't the apple watch the best selling smart watch of all time?
On ios, the apple watch for now operates better, but it still gives you everything you need, i have a pebble and a whole bunch of apps and quite honestly i use the weather and the notifications, pretty much it, and the android wear app will evolve, it did come out 2 months ago, eventually like the pebble did it will have an app store, and even potentially respond to notifications, but the customizability and the amazing looks do make up for the less functionality
I have really liked the moto 360 I think iam gonna call Motorola and ask he if I can get a gold version from it it. It will be awesome. Thanks for the review
it is $30 more for brass finish.
my problem with this review is that he was comparing the 360 on iOS. why would he do that? It's Android Wear and has its full capabilities on Android.... not iOS.

Hate the round screen in the Moro 360
So...
the moto has half the storage (4GB vs 8GB), which means no music and limited apps
Not a great HRM like the Apple Watch
Not good fitness options (only Google Fit)
Doesn't make calls (even on Android)
Customizability?
You can't!
yummy video
Lol ... your name sounds familiar!!

Want apple watch just can't afford it...
All smartwatches suck
But my list is
1-apple watch ( because it has a lot of apps and its a decent watch overall)
2-moto 360 ( 1-android wear 2- circler screen 3- 250$ price)
3-Samsung gear s2 ( i hate the software ( tizan) but other than that its a very good watch )
4-gear s1
5-peple watch ( the newestone )
huawei watch is also there for the ful 360 deg. experience
360 all day every day
360 look is much much better. But functionality obviously is much better on Apple watch so I'll stick with that.
When people prefer iOS because it's simple then don't like android wear because it is more simple then watch OS...
Will prefer moto 360 gen 2
