Hey thank you so much! It’s comments like these that make this worth all the time spent. I really do try my best to bring a different perspective and view.
As always your truck reviews as redundant as you claim they may be are Most Welcome. The information is very thorough factual and presented in a very professional matter. Personally I love them. I do miss your beginning video catch phrase “Let’s roll that tape” 🤣. As for the AE, downside #5: it’s not the ZikZ 605R. LMAO. Many players don’t use this truck because it steers just as fast as the Ever Green in the Suez Canal but in my opinion that aspect is not a deterrent. We are not trying to improve our lap times on the Suzuka race track with this truck, I think this Voron is the best of the three because it is the narrowest, it will fit through just about anything.🤘😬🤘
Hey thank you for that compliment sir. With the Highrange it can be pretty rapid, and turns can come up fast which get drivers messed up. Im really glad you enjoy my reviews! As for the old intro, I felt that I just needed to get to the point and tell peoplem about the truck :)
I find I can travel more distance with the Vorons than most trucks because they’re quick, good for high range gearbox and even if they consume more fuel they also get me past the difficult terrain faster which in the end saves more fuel than I spent. Obviously other trucks can do that too and maybe some of them are even more fuel efficient, the Vorons are just some of my favorite trucks with always on diffs.
There is the arguement of range by sheer distance traveled on a tank of gas and gal/min or L/min. I think early on the former works really well, but later on when you cant just jam it into high and cruise things get interesting. The AE is a boss truck
I still havent upgraded suspensio and engine, but it seems to be doing magic even with small mudtires high range and stock engine. And from all 4 best trucks, including the grad, tayga and the D one. This one is best for me
@@NProvince I guess devs made it so you get higher suspension to use the big tires, cuz it's too op and I dunno if any other trucks are like that. But if all the upgrades are in 1 region, I guess I'm doing that other region next
The more I watch your videos Nathan the more I feel SnowRunner was somewhat of a rush job and really could of used another year or so in the oven. Cause man, the game stats does not translate accurately to in-game action at all. If you asked me just by driving them, not knowing any stats, which truck felt heavier between the Voron AE and Tayga, I would of said the Voron AE. The way it drives, the way it handles heavy loads, the way it just punches though mud and snow, the AE just feels like a big, gurfy truck. Whereas the Tayga when driving it, does not. I mean hell one of my biggest complaints about the Tayga is it fells to light. To much snappy oversteer, slides around to easily on the roads, I'm sure you've heard me rant on the Tayga before. It's just so weird that the Voron AE feels and drives like I would expect a big heavy 6X6 Russian military truck to drive and handle like. Then you have the Tayga, which according to stats is even heavier, yet somehow in-game it feels more like you are driving a RC Bandito from GTAO rather then a big heavy military truck. Clearly somethings off with this game when a 7 ton truck feels relatively what I would think of as realistic (in the confines of the game), but then a heavier 12 ton ton doesn't feel realistic at all and drives like a kid pushing along a tonka truck. And I'm not arguing with you Nathan, if the game says the Tayga is 12 ton then I'm sure it's 12 ton. But, whatever Saber has done to it, the Tayga doesn't feel like it's 12 ton at all. Considering the weights not feeling correct in-game, the wonky damage system, Rift had to be added post-launch as the game was pushed out before Taymir was even fully completed. Then yeah I definitely think the physics system in this game isn't quite all there.
Oh man I agree, I was baffled by the weight of this truck. I actually had another viewer cross check me on it as well. I cant speak to if this game was rushed or not, but some things feel different than they are as you said for sure. Im just glad this thing performs as well as it does
Hey, Nathan. Could you please make a video, explaining what a "durability" stat means, how it changes, etc? Personally I think it is of no use to track it or make comparisons by it...
While I think a video explaining durability would be useful, not many people would find it enjoyable. The durability stat isn't as important on normal mode because you can always recover to the garage and you're immediately fixed. Hardmode is a little different, Repairs cost money, and setting up a field repair takes time. If a vehicle has good damage tolerances on tires and all those modules, they usually can go longer in the field without needing reapired by support vehicles. Being that these days almost all terrain strikes do quite a bit of damage; its nice to have more durability. I hope that made sense
@@vladvulcan Thats a good question, I dont really look at the durability bar stat on the truck description. I actually look at individual ratings outside the garage to determine how good their durability is.
Hope you're doing well man. I always think that trucks with always-on capabilities should be equipped with highrange gearbox. It just sucks that this truck has small tires, it could've solve the wheelspin and perform better
Well it doesnt have small tires though, It can have 50" tires, but you need that suspension to get them. Theres not much to knock this thing other than a few issues like the fuel tank and such.
@@NProvince my bad. i assumed it has 43in max. then this will be a good long logger speedrunner too :D btw, i saw your coop earlier. why are there only two of you now? or is that another separate playthrough.
@@boyjorge No worries man. Ya the third person couldnt play tonight. Were getting as many coop sessions as we can before next week when I wont have time due to work.
In my opinion the AE-4380 is by far one of the best vehicles in the game, you can really get used to the steering and the range is pretty descent for only '250' litres and it's the truck i have the most playtime with, you can do almost anything with the AE-4380, Tasks, contracts, scouting.... and it's super stable it has one of the lowest point of gravity and it's stability is unreal, for me it really has only two downsites first that the power to weight ratio sinks pretty low if your hauling really heavy stuff and that you can not take hitch Trailers with crane and bed although the voron d has the same length and can take crane + bed ¿¿¿
It is a great truck. Its basically a combination of the other two vorons. Concerning the lack of sideboard bed, crane, and hitch. I dont see this as a downside in my humble opinion based on my finding comparing saddle and hitch trailers. I feel that the Voron AE would be quite incredible with a low saddle trailer and a crane.
Great video, as always! Also, I find Voron AE to have superior suspension and stability compared to Voron D. In my experience, the soft and bouncy (and eerily squeaky) suspension of Voron D makes it easier to lose balance, tilt and roll.
Thank you! Yea I find it more stable than the Voron D as well. I actually rated the Voron AE better in stability than the Voron D. I test these trucks pretty well to see what they can handle and absolutely the AE has a nice soft suspension and no squeaks either. Lol
I was carrying medium logs and medium logs trailer with this thing, and this thing was not having it. I wonder WHY??? I added all the upgrades but still! It was struggling, IDK what’s going wrong?
That same thing is actually present with a lot of trucks. This video will show you how to break those axle freezes. So even the Taygas have this issue at times under extreme loads and those are some of the best trucks in the game. ua-cam.com/video/e87WU1Wt8lo/v-deo.htmlsi=7Y82QRK5eComrQbJ
Im new to this game but are the medium logs in this truck crazy wobbly and very top heavy or is it like that with all medium logs if the truck has the option?
So usually top heavy addons like this affect most vehicles in the game pending on how well the trucks balance is. I think truck handles them better than a lot of vehicles, but you will feel the sway pretty heavily due to medium logs being just a very high weight, high center of gravity load
That’s a good question Billy. I absolutely know it can be done. The gentleman I mentioned on my phase 6 upgrades review video has competed hardcore with no free fuel. It’s definitely doable
Another question sorry, how’d you transfer fuel from region to region and save money, deploying costs, buying more than one fuel carrier add ons costs, just trying to understand and or see my options for when I’m finished in Michigan,
So in Michigan, on my video I explained that to transfer fuel from region to region you do it through fuel tankers. For example, in Michigan I had so much extra fuel, that I made 5 trucks tanker that fuel, put them in the garage and then when I moved to a new map I have that fuel with me. I just finished Taymyr on hardmode and I’ve taken double the amount of free fuel with me via tankers than I had in previous maps. I hope that makes sense
among all the vorons the best in my opinion is the VORON GRAND, similar performance to the other vorons but it is more thought out and has an extended fuel autonomy.
@@jordanellis9758 Should be a good one. For me the Antarctic is the worst of all the articulated trucks, which is ironic as it has the best steering and is the nicest to drive. With the CAT745C and Forester when using a controller (bug doesn't happen with wheels), it has a bug where steering is briefly reversed. So say I'm coming to a turn and need to steer left, I turn left but the CAT or Forester with slightly drift right before they turn left. Weight isn't necessarily the be all and end all of traction either. Prime example, Tayga vs Tatra T815. On paper the Tatra should be god tier in mud with 50 inch MSH Is and a lot of weight plus the 530T engine it shares with the 73210, 605R and Kolobs. In practice I find that the Tayga is still better in deep mud as the Tayga muds just stay on top of bottomless mud such as the infamous crossing from the first Wisconsin garage over to the nearby warehouse, the Tayga gets further before having to winch when coming back across it to the garage the ANK 38 even further still with the tayga muds equipped. I had high hopes for the Tatra when I saw the MSH's, but I suspect these are not the same MSHs that the Kolobs have in terms of traction value. The only two vehicles I've been able to get across that particular mud pit without winching back over are the CAT 745 and the 6900TS, even the Kolob has to winch there.
Yes you’re right it is not the end all be all. No where on this channel is that stated, but even the devs said it’s a big contributor. As for the Tayga vs all these trucks… Tayga has wider tires with the TMHS allowing to to sit on top of mud. This has been talked about throughout my time on those channel and explained on my mudrunnin tips video. The Tatra lacks because of switchable diff lock and being caught up in mud from frame contact. The Tatra also doesn’t have wide tire codes like the Zikz or the Tayga does which makes them that good. Leaving the 745C and Kolobs out of this equation because we already know about them, still the Voron AE without weighing as much as the Tayga can achieve similar trial times except in the devils mud of which the balloon tires allow it to not sink in truly. Yes the MHS2 on the Voron are very wide as well, but not like the TMHS. Although I don’t think the balloon tires are the greatest overall tire, they are a safe bet. Lastly I don’t think the Tatra vs the Tayga is a good example of who has better grip. The Tayga tire has worse traction codings, but like explained The width of the Tayga tire is what stops frame contact which stalls all progress
