why am I not losing weight on a vegan diet, quite the opposite! I do not use oils or processed foods yet I can't shift the weight ! A dietitian told me that I should add fish and eggs to my diet as my vegan diet is very high in carbs for menopausal women. I lacking iodine and calcium in my diet , I LOVE VEGAN food but I am lost here.
Iodine is an easy fix, just use sea veggies like dulse! And there is plenty of calcium in greens…a green smoothie will do the trick! As far as losing weight, it might help to become more calorie aware by tracking your meals (just for a brief period of time) on an app like Cronometer. Fish and eggs are calories just like potatoes and rice, so try that first! Exercise will also boost your metabolism!
@@EatMoveRest Relief? After 13 years, not really. Only accepting that nothing can be done about it has made it more bearable, given that it's secondary to a facial neuroma. How long have you been experiencing it and do you know the cause, Dusty?

Super loud if you blend a thick smoothie bowl or nice cream, but it’s worth it…gets the job done better than any other!

We don’t do any mock meats actually! Never have tried them…we prefer to make our own veggie or bean burgers instead…it’s a much healthier option too!

There are plenty of plant foods that are high in protein that can help, like lentils, beans, whole grains and tofu!
