    As an Xtrainer owner JustinI agree with everything you say about this bike.I originally had an older standard one which I absolutely loved.Unfortunately the local bike thieves loved it as well so it was stolen! I replaced it very quickly with a way newer Xtrainer that the previous owner had done all the mods that people talk about so upgraded cartridges in the forks ,RR pipe and airbag mods/rejetting.These mods do give it a bit more go up top but in all honesty the standard bike was more than enough bike for me and weirdly I actually preferred the exhaust sound on the standard xtrainer pipe.Being a mid 50's hobby rider I probably don't push it hard enough to notice the benefits of the suspension upgrade as the standard forks felt just fine to me.I think the smaller frame which makes this bike so much easier to ride whether its standard or modified.I'm in the UK so we ride in some very muddy conditions but I've noticed that flicking into the wet weather map can make quite a difference in finding a little more traction at times.I've owned so many off road bikes in the past from virtually every manufacturer and the XTrainer is my favourite by a long way.This bike simultaneously makes me look like a better rider and is making me a better more confident rider.Enjoy

    Mate, saying you're not a good rider...you're a lot better than a few of the 'good riders' I've seen 🙂 Great first ride, I would have been a bit more gentle on her especially without protection fitted but awesome video and a really good insight into the bike's capability. I've been in 4stroke land for a decade or so now thinking I am too old for the 2 stroke stuff but this video is making me re-think 🙂 Great work there mate!!

      @@footit Thanks, I'm 66 and am supposed to get a hip replacement 😀But still riding my KTM 450 EXC (a bit heavy when I have to put the bad hip side down (right side) and has bad flame out problems so frustrating in the really gnarly stuff but great in the wide open. I also have a Beta EVO 300 trials and still ride C grade but struggle a bit these days. That's why I thought replace the EVO and the EXC with a Beta 300 2 stroke. I've got a KTM 790 for the off road touring stuff (and 2 up with my daughter) so don't need the 450 for on road rides. I know 2 strokes are not much good for holding constant speed :-) Thanks for the encouragement 🙂 I've also been looking at the 200RR and the 300RR but it looks like the X-trainer seems like a nice option that's not as full on like say the 300 RR. Great channel keep it up

    Had one, great engine and G/box, but that's where it stops !! frames too stiff, Sachs suspension is rubbish, and the thing is twitchy asf in the tight stuff. IMHO

    why did you swap out the fuel injection for the smart carb?

    • @footit
      @footit  7 днів тому

      @@MondoRockable no jetting, better fuel consumption, super smooth throttle. It was just a matter of plug and play and by far the best mod on the bike.
      BTW this bike doesn't have fuel injection, it's a carbourated bike.

    Hey Justin, I'm in your area and I start hearing a lot about this bike, it seems to be great!
    Did you have it imported or is there a somewhat official Beta retailer in Chiang Mai? And do you think that'll be easy to find parts?
