Hope you leg heals fast! What's your preference for jetting after upgrading pipe\airbox eeds etc? I'm going to do all 3 on my 2024 and looking at getting a kid from JD Jetting.
Im still tuning right now. Not doing reeds but have a gnarly pipe for now until i get the performance pipe and have the RR filter cage. Currently have 38 pilot, 85 leak and 175 main. For 4k feet and 70 degrees. Idk if the JD needle is worth it over OEM. I might get the RR slide and needle at some point. Jets are super cheep if you buy them elsewhere.
@@JRlastofthebreed I'm upgrading from an 85 CR250 I used the JD kit for that and it did wonders. I was thinking of just figuring out the stock jetting of the RR buying the jets separate. I did not realize the slide eedle were different between the RR and xt. I'm hoping to build this up to just be as close to an rr as possible. Airbox, Boysen rad valve, gnarly pipe, jetting etc.
I havn't done anything yet. I know most people get AMP's revalve. I think I am going to put a set of WP forks and shock on. I have a few KTM's so it is just easy for me since I am already set up for maintaining them. If your after MX track the xtrainer isn't the bike for it though. Even with good forks its squirrly at speed and has less suspension travel.
Not great. I broke my leg on the next lap 😂. Ive had and raced a few xtrainers and once they are set up i think they are a great race bike for some conditions. This bike still needs some work done to it to be great. I still need to do suspension, pipe, jetting, pegs, and tires.
That looked like a gnarly course but still a lot of fun. Great riding.

The RR book will get you close. Thats how i started my jetting. But the needles are different.
@@JRlastofthebreed Awesome, thanks for the tip!
What do you do to the suspension to get it to track right ?
Do you revlave , respiring , change out to other forks ?

Not to many people racing the XTrainer. How did it do for you? I’m looking at picking one up.
